In toy happenings as of late, Siege Voyager Soundwave and Starscream have been spotted in some places in the US and Australia. Siege line hunting for me has been massive dead ends so far with no luck finding Ultra Magnus. Ever since the toyfair announcements though the ones I want to get have increased substantially, most especially Leader Optimus.

Speaking of Optimus, though Siege hunting isn't going well, I eventually took the plunge and got an item I knew was going to be hard to get again if I passed up on it:

It's interesting comparing the engineering and presentation of something from 1995/2006 to stuff now. And I gotta admit though I initially got it just for the Laser Optimus and nothing else, that attached gas tanker/battle base is really growing on me. Definitely worth the purchase and will definitely be special among my collection.

Lastly, the TF toy community mourns the passing of Yasuta Sato, founder of Takara, at 94.

I saw Magnus and Shockwave one time, and it was during the holiday crunch when I didn't have extra money to spend on myself. Now it's 2+ months later and I've never seen them again. There seemed to be availability issues with the Leader class during Power of the Primes. It seemed like they almost never got restocked, even if the stores sold out. There would just be empty holes on the shelves for months.

I hope Siege doesn't have the same issues PotP had with Voyagers, where the initial wave was ordered so heavily that subsequent waves never showed up at retail. I still haven't gotten an Elita 1 (I've been tempted to order it a few times, but have never pulled the trigger, and she just kept dropping off my radar completely. If I'd ever seen her at retail, it would have been an instant purchase).

yup, he's not a youngster anymore, he's in his 70's now, he will be 73 this month, but people are expected to live into their 80's today, so just keep an update on convention appearences he is doing

There is proof (nothing scientific) that voice actors live longer.

June Foray died at 99.
Lucille Bliss (best known as the voice of Smurfette) died at 96.
Alan Young (who also did live action, as well as cartoons) died at 96.

Mel Blanc was 81 when he passed away, Frank Welker has long been considered the new Man of a Thousand Voices, the Mel Blanc of our time, but Frank Welker has outlived these 2 voices who he collaborated with, Daws Butler and Don Messick, they were both 71 when they passed away, I feel we lost them kinda too soon.

Unfortunately, you were going to be left hanging, either way. It was Michael Bay's last film and both he and Lorenzo (as well as the other producers) said it was the last of the line. That part of the franchise died with Bay leaving the helm.

It was a terrible way to end it, but that's what you get with a terrible film, unfortunately.

Even though it's a different film, same thing happened to the 2017 Power Rangers movie, that ended on a cliffhanger because they mentioned Tommy Oliver at the end but we aren't getting a sequel to that unfortunately because it bombed at the box office

A lot of people love to/legitimately hate IDW Star Saber, but from what I've heard on how that character is portrayed, I find it hilarious. I also believe that, thanks to the "by association" clause, more people are becoming aware of the character and reading up/watching Victory or buying the Masterpiece Star Saber. MP Star Saber so far is the only one I legitimately want among the MP line.
------------------------------
So my first proper foray into IDW's TF comics with the first issue of the relaunch...I'm in this for the long haul. Has some good and interesting setups with Orion, Megatron & Ironhide, and Bumblebee, Windblade & newcomer Rubble. Artwork was superb.

Masterpiece star saber is a great transformer. The only thing that didnt age well, however, was the ratchet joints and the arm articulation.

I got a Siege figure of Cog. Yeah, hes basically like God Bomber in that he's mostly there to be armor and his altmode leave something to be desired.

So we're getting TWO new movies. A Bumblebee sequel everyone wanted and a Last Knight sequel some people wanted. Seriously with the recent news that Bumblebee was in fact a reboot why bother continuing the bayformer movies? Are you just trying to squeeze as much money out of it as possible?

I can sort of see Hasbro wanting to give fans closure on the closing Bayverse, as Last Knight did end on a cliffhanger.

I wouldnt be surprise if the Sequel rip off Days of Future Past just to erase anything Bay related.

And it'd probably be Bumblebee in the Logan role.
