NFL General Discussion Thread (For those who X and O X's and O's)

Decided to put together a concise NFL thread because the ones in the past, though well managed, end up sort of going to waste. (We had a Superbowl thread last year that went for like 2 pages, and then died.) In short, in clutters up the board. (For those who don't know, I'm a die-hard NY Giants fan, and I'm always checking out the NFL threads, just rarely post in them.)

So any 2017-2018 league discussions, games, fantasy, Superbowl stuff, goes here. Please be respectful to each other and mind the rules of the board.

I'll try and pretty up the first post later on, but for now I just wanted to get discussion started with pre-season about to begin.

"Individual commitment to a group effort,
that is what makes a team work."

I'm totally down to be a part of a RB Fantasy Football league if anyone's interested.

It'll be interesting to see how Brandon Marshall performs for you guys this year. How you feeling about Ben McAdoo this go around?

Someone beat Primo to the NFL thread.

Also, I'm not sure I'd agree that the last thread went to waste. There was 41 pages of discussion. I think that random Super Bowl thread was by someone who didn't realize we had a NFL thread already.

DB4L

Sick of this QB battle stuff going on and just want them to pick someone between Siemian and Lynch.

I'm Team Kelly myself.

Can't wait to see how Marshawn Lynch bounces back. Especially since people actually expect success out of the Raiders now after 100,000 years.

I actually reminded them last night.

And I had a way more impressive and funny first post lined up...

Hey Dukemon, also a die hard Giants fan. Glad to know we have another Giants fan in the NFL thread.

Sucks to hear that Sterling Sheppard was carted off this morning with an apparent ankle injury. Really hope it's not serious, we will definitely need him for our offense this year.

Here`s hoping the Colts aren`t a dumpster fire this year

Wait,Luck is injured and Pagano is somehow still coaching the team.I guess I can throw those hopes out the window.

I'm thrilled to see where he fits into the schemes. And I've always liked McAdoo; thought that for all the negatives from this past season, they improved quite a lot, so hoping for the best hehe.

Sorry Primo! Had to get everything cleaned up and into one space. I default to you for the one liners though; suggestions definitely welcome!

Yeah, you never like to see that. It's my least favorite thing about camp, and really preseason in general. You can't really mark your way through football practice.

From what I read though, he just kind of rolled his ankle; I doubt it's too serious.

I think the Colts and Luck goes down as one of the worst waste of an NFL talent that they haven't shored up the line to keep their top draft pick upright.

just read on ESPN.com that Rams DT Dominique Easley suffered a torn ACL. He'll most likely be out for the season.

Damn, not a good way to start the season.

Damn, first Easley from the Rams goes down with a torn ACL, now Forrest Lamp from the Chargers goes down with a torn ACL too.

Yeah, we're getting our excuses for a losing season out of the way early.

Hopefully it's not too serious but damn is it the worst time to pick up injuries.

Football is officially back tonight with the Cardinals @ Cowboys.

Who you gots?

Dallas has something to prove and they've still got their ace newbies, while Arizona's been steadily declining year after year despite Arians, Fitzgerald and Palmer still being top of their field.

Aww so precious that you are approaching it like real football. Gotta practice for week one, right?

I'm just ready for pre-season to start as I am always every year, until one series of pre-season is over and then I am ready for real football...at this point i am still in anything is better than nothing mode.

Pats fan here.

I like to think of myself as a realist. I definitely do not expect 19-0 and anyone seriously suggesting that is crazy. There's too much that can happen. I do like our chances though and I hope Cooks lives up to the price. I've a feeling Ealy is going to wash out though.
