Doctor Who: Jodie Whittaker making HERstory as 13th Doctor

From the future of 2017, the new 13th Doctor, and shes' ready to make history as the first televised Doctor to be female (Arabella Weir was the first in Big Finish Unbound:Exile).
http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-40624288

Time for a new Doctor Who thread as the old one got hit in the head off screen. Carrot juice and all that.

So thoughts on Class!

How super was the Christmas Special?

Anyone enjoying River Song's adventures with the Sixth and Seventh Doctors?

Comic's Supremacy of the Cybermen has ended, but by no means then end for either the alternate Earth Cybermen or Mondas's Cybermen, but what about the surviving Cyber-Siliurian?

Oh and of course, Season 10.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3x4YF3EisE

Old episodes, new ones, as always all of Doctor Who is open to be talked about. Past, present, and future. All media is accounted for. However do mind, spoilers can and will appear. People are asked to show respect, especially if they are talking about watching old episodes or reading old stories for the first time, but it can occur and that's on you if you get spoiled for something that has already come out.
If it's for something in the future, rumours and what not for specific story events or what happens to characters, do use the spoiler command for that.

Should you wish to take a trip to the past, the previous thread.

New thread!

I don't like the colour...

(I know it's not "new kidneys", but just "thread!" wouldn't make sense.)

Was anyone able to restore the swimming pool when Snoops deleted a previous thread?

I want to believe the last thread tripped over a brick or banana peel.

"Remember what they said in the tracking room? Something about this old thread is wearing a bit thin?"

"So it gets itself a new one?"

There's rumours that two Hartnell era episodes have been recovered.
http://gallifreybase.com/forum/showp...postcount=1405 (registration required to view content)
So, if there were 2 Hartnell episodes found as has been suggested (and I am not saying there are), what chance or likelihood is it that they could be episodes from The Smugglers given the recent photo shoot of Anneke Wills at the location? Would they actually post the pics from the photo shoot if they were recovered?

There was a rumour recently Galaxy 4 episode 4 had been found because of the fact the recon got taken down from Dailymotion when no other was.

Ooh! Exciting!

Not trying to get too excited over the possibility in case it doesn't pan out, but for the sake of argument, if it was Galaxy 4 episode 4, would that complete the story?

No. Only episode 3 and about 6 minutes of episode 1 currently exist. 2 and 4 are completely missing.

I could've sworn that ALL missing episodes were still intact in audio form, but just missing the actual video content (which would explain the animated reconstruction of "Power of the Daleks", among other things).

Makes me wish they'd just animate the missing episodes already.....

^You're correct, soundtracks exist for all episodes, but 97 episodes have no or very little footage. About a dozen of them have been animated.

I'll believe it when I see it. Those were the same threads that kept resparking that ridiculous rumor that the BBC had somehow recovered nearly all the missing episodes at the same time just before the 50th anniversary.

I stopped going into that thread long ago, although that was mostly due to the ridiculous moderation rules in there. But how often do missing episode rumours pop up? Last one I remember was someone claiming they'd found The Highlanders which turned out quickly to be a hoax.

The countdown to Chibnall's era begins proper in February, as that's when the final series of Brodchurch is due to air
