BB&B was also one of those shows people complained about because it was more humorous take on Batman.
I remember a lot of complaints in that vein for Teen Titans too, at the time. Especially when it first started.

I'm going out on a limb and say they will change Satan Girl's name on the show

I had to look her up on DC wikia. I thought they might have meant Saturn Girl.

Yeah, but look at what that lead to with "Teen Titans Go!".

A mediocre re-imagining that spends more time making jokes about how it's not as good as the old show than it does actually trying to be as good as the old show? :/

I agree with you. I loved the original Teen Titans and the "GO!" series kinda ruined that for me.

The characters for JLA look pretty cool, but the only thing that worries me from the news is this:
'Set to be released in 11-minute installments -- in the vein of Cartoon Network's "Teen Titans GO!"'

IF this is done in the same way as TTG, that will end my trust in WB Television animation when it comes to this and/or any "new" DC comic series.

This seems like it's geared towards kids, which is smart for building a future DC base.

I guess they figure the direct-to-DVD animated films are for us.

Well pretty much all of the DC cartoons have been aimed at kids. How much they can be enjoyed by an adult will just depend on the specific person. This show could end up being really good and I'm looking forward to it.

So I'm completing Young Justice and I'm seeing that that show was far too sophisticated for kids, even moreso than BtAS because YJ was more serialized. This new Justice League series at least looks like it's going to be more for kids which is great for them, not so much for us. At some point I'll check it out to see how it is. I just wish they DC would realize that there's a market for adult comic fans outside of film, live action TV, & the animated films. If they realized that, perhaps YJ would still be around and maybe even would've been sent to a different type of channel and marketed to a different demographic.

Not like there'd be any channel that would want an animated action show for adults, besides Adult Swim/Toonami, but that'll probably never happen. I also don't know if I'd call YJ more sophisticated than BTAS just because it went for long term storytelling, especially since I don't think it did it all that well anyway, but I'm not a huge fan of the show in general.

This.

I actually feel like Greg Weisman had lost his touch if we're comparing the writing of YJ to the writing of his very 1st series Gargoyles, but that's a different topic altogether.

As far as this new, upcoming, 11-minute episodes, Justice League series is concerned give me the action of The Powerpuff Girls (the original one) + the storytelling of Steven Universe, and I'm good.

Michael Dorn and Armin Shimmerman will be voicing Atrocitus and Zillius Zox, respectively.

The Red Lanterns are gonna be in this? Sold already.

And I like the sketches, though I can't bring myself to believe this will be 2-D.

They can do 11-minute action cartoons. Heck, look at some seasons of Super-Friends: many of the episodes were two-segments so basically just make it engaging and not just "TT Go! with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman" and it could work. It doesn't have to be Steven Universe-complex...but if they did, that would be great too.

Why? Didn't we see a promotional image already that confirmed it wasn't CG, with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman? Besides TTG isn't CG.

Not to fond of this. :/

Young Justice left a hole in my heart, and this is just digging in deeper.
The undertone Young Justice had made it amazing.

The Red Lanterns? Awesome! Hope they're more anti-heroes than outright villains like last time.

Hmm, I like that. Very Bruce Timm style.
