Justice League Action

Looks like there will be a new Justice League Animated Series on the way to Cartoon Network. This time the title will be "JLA".

http://www.comicbookresources.com/ar...nimated-series

For me, I'm being caution on this one because of Cartoon Network. Why? They canceled the best animated series called Young Justice.

EDIT: Cameron Samurai beat it to me. Please feel free to merge or lock the thread. Thank you.

Conroy is back? Wow, didn't see that coming.

And oddly, I like the animation style for every character but his...

James Woods as Lex Luthor? They'll be able to capture him with candy.

James Woods? Holy shit, yes. This might even be better than Clancy Brown.

...nah. But close.

11 minute episodes hmmm yep it's likely not going to be as good as the old Justice League series

Nor should it be. Every cartoon deserves its own space.

Brave and the Bold has shown that a comedic approach can be just as satisfying.

I dunno, Steven Universe has been doing just fine with quarter-hour episodes. That's kind of a high standard to reach, but it still proves it's feasible to do something of genuine quality in that time frame.

Conroy and Hamill are worth checking it out for no matter what. Also didn't Titans Go start as 10 minute episodes then move to a full half hour? James Woods as Lex is interesting but I've also wanted to see him voice Owlman again.

11-minute episodes are pretty much the standard for all new shows on CN these days.

Hamill and Conroy alone are worth the price of admission.

I'm happy its finally been announced. I am very interested in this, even if it is like TTG. Conroy and Hamill coming back is awesome and a little surprising in regards to Hamill.

I hope it's kind of like Steven Universe in regards to continuity. It doesn't have to have to heavy continuity, but it would be nice IMO. Also, the 11 minute format isn't a big deal to me. It probably means it'll get treated better by CN.

Mark voiced Joker in Arkham Knight and he is going to be voicing him in The Killing Joke so not surprised here.

So is this going to be another silly cartoon like Teen Titans Go? The description seems like it'll be more action oriented, but Cartoon Network's recent approach to not having action cartoons on its channel and the 11 minute format makes me think otherwise. Could be a blend of both, I guess. Something more in tone with Ben 10.

They don't have action cartoons per say besides some stuff on Saturday mornings sometimes, but stuff like Steven Universe and Adventure Time (though I don't watch this much anymore) pack a whole lot into their 11 minute episodes, and they even get to do two parters.

I think this might be Steven Universe meets Brave and the Bold MK.II.

A focus on being lighthearted, appeasing fans on what they want to see, maybe the occasional unknown given spotlight, and mindless action. At least at first and the writers/CN thinks that this is a success and pushes more into the future.
