I wonder since Tommy's already here if they'll acknowledge the Papercutz run?

Anyway I'm very excited. While I've not read Windblade Scott's episodes of Prime have been really good so I'm looking forward to this.

I'm glad they seem like they're expanding on the show's continuity but they want to tell bigger stories.

I hope they do some Miniseries that use other seasons too.
I've never heard of Scott before the interview yesterday. I really want to read this and pick up windblade. If you pick it up, I suggest reading last years TPB before this year's new ongoing series.

While I didn't mind the papercutz comics I highly doubt Boom! Acknowledges them in any way.

That's good and all but I do like to see her do more than just be faithful and take the characters in new directions.
...What else is there?

Oh, cool, Montes just decided to release the last one directly. How fitting.

I don't think that was the actual plan. More of "Hey, check out all of this work I did".

Has anyone mentioned this gem in the announcement:

"At its Comic-Con booth (#2229 for those of you keeping track), Boom! will have an assortment of six double-sided, one-page comics in blind bag packaging available for sale."

So...SDCC exclusive AND blind bagged?

I wonder.... Will this be a continuation from Season One or will it be an Alternate Telling of Season Two's events where Jason, Trini and Zack NEVER leave?

I'd love to see an Alternate History like that!

It could be an alternate telling of MMPR in general. They might have Tommy be there from the start.

Nah. Probably works the same way as Papercutz's version did - inserted between episodes. And they'll be set during season 1 (we know this due to the zords, which can be seen reflected in the visors on the preview posters), between Green With Evil and An Oyster Stew.

It clearly takes place an alternate timeline after Return of an Old Friend because Tommy's holster is white, but it's on the correct side of the hip in the cover and doesn't have a Blade Blaster! Duh!

Something I've always been morbidly curious about in the show - if they take off the suits, are they still "morphed", or does it demorph them in the same way taking too much damage does? Hell, CAN they even take them off without demorphing, or would they have to cut them off to even try? And are their civvie clothes somehow underneath? (We'll assume for the sake of this that any zippers/fastenings/etc that the actors & stuntmen use don't actually "exist" as far as the show's concerned.)

Just wait. Even in the vanishingly-unlikely event they're never posted online, they'll probably be tossed into Boom's first MMPR TPB.

Finally we'll get some real artists to put any PR comics we've had so far to shame. I'm almost as excited about this as I am the movie. If not more so, just because we've actually seen something.
