just played it for the first time. very clunky and jerky controls as has been said. I can't use the sprites from it either since they're in stupid pseudo-3D. maybe I can at least get some sound files or something.

Then again maybe not, maybe you could take the sprites and "cartoonize" them, since there's software that can do that. That way, they might fit in better.

I used to have it and beat it only once. It got very hard at the end.

On the installation CD, there's saved game files in "\SUPPORT\SAVES" so it's not even necessary to play through the entire thing to complete it.

So, let's see now. As far as games that actually have a unique storyline and aren't just compressed versions of the season they're based on, there's:

Zeo versus the Machine Empire (Mac/PC)
Dino Thunder (PS2/GC)
Super Legends (DS)
Super Legends (PS2/PC)

And... that's it, isn't it? I thought there would be more. Since I'm an obsessive freak who can't control himself, I'm trying to fit the games that actually tell their own story into my marathon of the PR franchise. I've already finished all of MMPR, including the three seasons themselves, the movie, the stage show, the three DTV specials, and the 25 issues of the Hamilton/Marvel comic series. Since they cross over with PR, I'm also doing Masked Rider (including its single comic), Beetleborgs, and Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. I'm in the middle of MR's first season. For those who give a damn (read: no one), I'm going

Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Season 3
Masked Rider: Season 1
Power Rangers Zeo
Big Bad BeetleBorgs
Masked Rider: Season 2
Power Rangers Turbo
Beetleborgs Metallix
Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation
Power Rangers in Space

Yeah. I'm weird.

I own this! Still have it somewhere I think!

I seem to remember the story bieng a bit off...None of the Rangers were seen (or heard) unmorphed, neither were civilian names mentioned. Zordon introduced levels, but was never seen. I also seem to remember the Gold Ranger being referred to as the "Zeo Jet Gold Ranger". Can't remember if the others were called similar things though!

It played pretty well though, you got all of the Rangers weapons etc after collecting 50% of the crystal in each level.

Because of the lack of civilian names/naming issues I always wondered if it was rehash of a Japanese OhRanger game, rushed out for Zeo?

I wondered that, considering it does sort of mention ohranger in the manual.

Makes sense, as the "live" footage, although I don't remember much would have been from Oh anyway. I remember alot of Mondo stuff, but I think it was original for the game rather than video footage.

I tried to play the last level just to see what the ending was like. I quickly established that I suck at this game after Mondo's first minion trashed all six of my rangers without taking a single hit. If anyone here has beaten it, could you tell me what happens? Is the Machine Empire totally defeated, or is it only considered a normal victory?

I'm thinking the story might not be in-continuity, since Zordon is obviously explaining what the Machine Empire is in the opening cutscene despite it contradicting every aspect of "A Zeo Beginning". Yeah, I know continuity was the last thing on the developer's minds, but it's just an observation.

No I haven't but I want to if only because the side scrolling action games were always my favorites when it came to Power Rangers games.

Needed more characters, such as the monsters and the Barox.
