Its about time there was a decent Padawan Obi-wan.
Say what you will about episode 1 but it's definitely the most Star Wars one of the prequels and to me its turning into a classic as I grow older as that was the first Star Wars film I'd seen in the cinema.
Now to prey for a Qui gon.

Anybody know where I can pre-order a Darth Maul still or am I doomed on that front now? I have black series so not at a total loss if not.

He comes out in 2 weeks, so no, but since he comes out in 2 weeks, if you check around Nippon-Yasan or other sites that had him (avoid Amiami for tihs), you could still get him at normal price before the mark ups, assuming that things play out the way they usually do.

Looks like Bluefin has got news of the cancelled Amazon pre-orders and are looking into it:

"We're working with Amazon on the issue of cancelled preorders for Tamashii Nations items & we hope to have a resolution for you soon. Thanks"

So, regarding a post I made in the last thread before we upgraded, someone mentioned getting shock oil from any hobby shop to loosen joints. I've seen someone suggest using dish soap. Any credibility to that last claim? Really want to fix this Cure Sword shoulder issue before I'm left with a snapped ball joint.

Dish soap wears off quickly; I tried some on a figure's squeaky knee to no avail. Shock oil works and I've used some in the past. Just don't apply a lot

Well, this came today.

I'm impressed... like, really impressed. I at first was slightly taken to creepsville with the insanity of realism these had... but after getting him, man, it's so spot on it's insane!

Has anyone else heard more about the whole "Bandai Star Wars merchandise can't be distributed outside of Japan" kerfuffle?

I was doing a little research and from what I can piece together, the Bandai figure/vehicle model kits were never meant to be sold to non-Japanese customers at all, but sites like AmiAmi, HLJ, and BBTS did anyway. This could have potentially left one or more parties open to being sued for breaking exclusive distribution contracts, so everyone involved decided to sober up and fly straight before it happened.

Of course, there's very little actual discussion on the situation going on; it's mostly just "F*CK Disney, Revell, and Hasbro!" comments.

A member over at Tokunation had e-mailed HLJ about it and I think the response they got was that only the model kits were affected at this time and not the figures.

Is that a reference to the animated teamup film, or did I miss something? Either way, very nice!

Wow, yeah. Guess I'm in with this.

No one here collecting the Kinnikuman stuff? I'm surprised we are getting Kinniku in another costume before many other figures. But tons of awesome stuff incoming! The Omni/Omegamon cape is going to be taking up a lot of room too D:

Decade looks great. I've often thought about buying one of the Figuarts before but decided against it since neither were that good. This time he is looking awesome though

I'll get Decade simply because he's the all powerful rider that everyone binds to.

He'll go great with my doctor who figures.

The destroyer of worlds meets The destroyer of worlds. Space and time collide.

I can't even describe how much I'm anticipating that Decade; it's the last of the old-style Figuarts I held back on getting and he looks worth the wait. If he comes with an alternate Violent Emotion head I will squeal.

In a world where we have sick ass 1:6 Medicom kamen rider figures i very rarely look at the figuarts ( unless its something that Medicom would never make like a Kivara, of which i bought mine this morning ). But i must say that the new Decade looks bang on. Im very particular about helmet shapes and accuracies and i think even though the figure is tiny it overall looks better than any other version of the mask ( even all 3 medicom versions )
