Ah, that's more scary than anything as I want to keep the plates and the backing compartment in a good condition and restore the PM. If you have drilled them out before, any tutorials on how to without damaging the item even more?

Does reprolabels still exist? They used to do them (probably still do..), but why not get them from BD15? I think his prices are the best out of the two of them

Been a long time since I customized an original power morpher. Won one on ebay for a really good price so figured I'd make a gold one. In the past I've used nail polish remover to remove paint, however that was always a major pain and of course acetone risks eating away the plastic. Goo Gone Extreme was always good, however they stopped making it. They have a new a latex paint cleanup, but that will do nothing since the paint isnt latex. I ended up using plain ol paint thinner I had in my garage and wet sanding the paint off. Took some time, but got it done.
I've used Testors gold metallic and generic walmart paint before, but was never really happy with the results. They were either to dark for me or to rough afterwards. This time I purchased Tamiya white primer and Tamiya gold TS-21 and couldn't be happier with it. The paint looks amazing, almost identical to the Bandai paint (its a little brighter, but I did only use 2 coats), went on way better then paints I've used before, looks smooth and dried fast. I also didn't need a clear coat after.
I purchased zyuranger labels from repro labels aka toy hax since BD15 is taking several months off.

Honestly of all of the customs I've done in the past this one is the best.

I just purchased a 93 morpher and noticed none of the coins are clicking in place. Took the morpher apart and noticed the red plastic that holds the coins comes off completely. Is there a spring that is supposed to go underneath the red plastic? If so, does anyone know where I can purchase this spring?

I say fat chance. As a customizer, i have some experience in a few categories.
A dremel could indeed, but it will be so rough, it wont be worth it. even with a fine tip and slow speed. Even if you sand it after, the metal underneath, which is now exposed, even polished it won't match the rest of the product. Again, not worth it, buddy.

Dremeling these small imperfections, is only a resort if you're going to repaint everything. and i mean everything plate wise. lol

Yeah, I wouldn't do it personally.

I have some issues with my Dragon Buckler as well... it's not just you. My Dino Buckler is perfect, but man, there seem to be quite a few flaws from minor to major with the Dragon. But like Johnny said. If you grind it down, then you're going to expose the bare metal that isn't gold plated... so I'd say, if you can live with it... then that's probably for the best.

Legacy coins falling out

The new click coins seem a tad smaller than the old ones I have and will not stay in the morpher at all. Any suggestions to modify these plastic clips that hold the coins in place. They need to be longer where they come through the plate.

Just wanted to point out a little detail for those doing a Master Morpher conversion. They appear to have not only used a movie version morpher with the silver back (which we knew) but they also seem to have used the easier to obtain red/blue/pink version. This shot from one of JDF's vlogs shows that it has the screw plugs in place, which the White Falcon morpher did not have, but the other 3 did. This is good news because the movie pink morpher goes for fairly cheap, and once you replace the plates and remove the colored stripes from the back as shown, its the same as the others.

Customizing legacy morpher question

So I finally decided to take the plunge and customize my own Movie morphers for Black and Yellow Ranger. The question is do I need to prep the morpher before placing the labels? Apparently the morphers are painted, not labeled like I thought. Do i need to remove the paint from the bolts before I place the yellow bolts for the yellow morpher? Should i remove the red circles as well on both?
