Elements of the New 52 universe still occurred in Rebirth. Rebirth actually didn't change a lot until Superman Reborn restored ten years back to the universe (to accommodate Jon and erase Superman/Wonder Woman), many of the stories are said to have still happened, it's just you shouldn't think too long and hard about where they fit
Mostly because DC editorial didn't. Mostly because it would require thinking.

On that note, Diana didn't do much mentoring to Donna either.
Makes me more amused than I should be. If there's any character that can properly be a mentor, it's the person that is the spirit of truth with compassion, love, sensitivity and empathy. I'd like to think that if perhaps Diana was a little more attentive towards her immediate charges, Donna wouldn't have been constantly screwed over in the preceding decades, and Cassie could've had more to her character.

To be fair, Cassie did have character in YJ. Its just that almost everyone else chucked that out a window afterwards.

And some of Donna's problems were her own doing and the Titans constantly making her the "Mom" of the team.

War of the Realms: War Scrolls #2 has a Wiccan and Hulkling story by Anthony Oliveira. The solicit didn't mention that.

Donna was always a Teen Titans character first though - her creation history is literally 'the Teen Titans writer thought that this 'Wonder Girl' character seemed interesting and for some bizarre editorial didn't think to tell him that it was a teenaged Diana thus necessitating a last minute introduction of another Wonder Girl that looked identical to Teen Diana'. Because of that it's a little more understandable that Diana didn't mentor Donna much.

Cassie on the other hand was introduced in Wonder Woman first, then they couldn't figure out what to do with her.

You've not been reading Uncanny X-Men? For some reason Rahne now has long hair. And needless to say, looks a lot more like Jean as a result.
To be honest my mental picture of Rahne was influenced by X-Men: Evolution despite having read more than enough of New Mutants to know that she doesn't usually look like that.

For some reason I can't find them at the moment but a brief check of New X-Men (the run where she was in a mess of a sort-of-relationship with Elixir) showed her with long hair then too and quite often looking more like Jean.

I guess that means I can't think of any Marvel redhead that doesn't look like-

Oh wait, Doreen.

You'd think so wouldn't you.

I just like that Bruce - popularised as the most anti-social hero ever - has a wide network of sidekicks and mentees that he nurtures (often badly but the attempt's there) and actively checks up on (albeit in an overbearing manner). Meanwhile Diana - often considered the most compassionate person who's not wearing an indigo ring - seems wont to forget that she has any (except for TV series Diana of course).

I wonder what they would've done if they did realise that Wonder Girl was a teen Wonder Woman who appeared in "impossible adventures" and not a sidekick? The only other teen girl they would've had at the time is probably Supergirl, as they didn't own Shazam yet and thus couldn't have used Mary Marvel.
