Easy, during that time she was in stuck in a cave in the Arctic until she got depressed and decided she needed to go out and find something to do in life again and wound up in 1960s Orlando....
Oh god it'd be funny, and sad, if that happened.

I mean while they said she may never return to Themyscira again, doesn't necessarily mean she can't. Potentially she could've returned their and lost track of time. The Amazons certainly wouldn't come knock on her door and inform her about WWII or anything. So maybe she has her sabbatical, then leaves again only to find out it's the 80's?

Am I the only one who's not a fan of the title? We know it's going to take place (mainly) in the 1980s, it doesn't have to be spelled out in the title. Wonder Woman 2 is more succinct and to the point.

I hope Patty Jenkins changes her mind regarding the title, but it won't stop me from going. Just a nitpick.

Imagine if Marvel Studios decided to rename their Captain Marvel movie into "Captain Marvel 1994".....Not sure if I like DC naming this sequel Wonder Woman 1984.

How about Wonder Woman Mother Funky Dollar Bill Stir?

Seriously though part of me wishes it was the 70's but then again they already changed her origin from WW2 to WW1 so I can't complain too much.

As for Steve I'm thinking either grandson or maybe there's some weird twsit like he some kind of clone created from a combination of what was left of the real Steve and some random creature, and at the end he slowly starts mutating into a giant whateever they made him from but performs some heroic sactifice before melting into a pile of genetic goo.

But it doesn't raise images of an oppressive dystopia. Boring is better.

They're filming here in DC and northern Virginia this week, and apparently again at the end of June into early July. They've rebuilt/disguised a few local Georgetown storefronts for filming. I got caught in some traffic yesterday from them closing off a section of the area for filming. Apparently Gal Gadot has been spotted at a few restaurants in the area, so she's filming scenes here, too.

Did they put a bronzer on Gal Gadot/Wonder Woman? She's looking really tanned

Set videos

Looks like Wonder Woman is injured

Diana and Steve have an argument

Gal shares a new photo

In the beginning of this video it looks she's riding an invisible vehicle haha

I didn't realize they were bringing back Steve. Has to be flashbacks or daydream ls within the film right?

Flashback, daydream, reincarnated, brought back to life, Identical stranger, the possibilities are all over the place as far as how Steve gets brought back.

I'm going with she is haunted by the life her and Steve could've had together

So I guess that falls in the visions/ seeing him in everyday life category lol

True, but at the same time, you couldn't elaborate on her World War II adventures without addressing the elephant in the room: The Holocaust. More specifically, why she didn't stop it. With Captain America, you had the excuse of Steve's superpowers being rather low-level in nature. A bullet to the head would, theoretically, kill him just as much as any other soldier. Wonder Woman on the other hand, while not as indestructible as Superman, can still tackle an army all by her lonesome. With her compassionate nature, no force on Earth would be able to keep her away from the people in those camps.

And even if you come up with a reason why, it's kind of an unnecessary downer to talk about how your superhero failed to stop the slaughter of millions, all of it mercifully offscreen.
wasn't the comic lore for the reason the Supers couldn't set foot in German territory was that Hitler's possession of the Spear of Destiny meant that they could fall under his control? Especially if they were powered through magic...which Diana basically is. she could still fight in WWII but she just couldn't fight in the European theater. So she would be relegated to the Pacific and Africa.

Well, I think I would make a better Minerva and I played her in ten sequels and had my own movie trilogy that won Oscars so... ::twirls hair::
