A nail file should be enough

Just do a start and stop process when sanding. Stop if it starts to feel too loose. Keep testing the rotation of the Red leg parts.

If it feels really tight it could snap the front part

You don't need to sand this part down. The stress line is from the back part twisting the piece when you rotate the leg parts

Thanks!

I completed mine. addressed all the aforementioned issues and thankfull it turned out mostly alright. The shogun helmet is havinga hard time staying on the red zord's head but otherwise another good minipla. The shin area of the legs are a bit fiddly too but eh. Better than any Legacy one we might have gotten fo sho.

something I did to remedy the helmet sticking on, was actually using silicon oil to loosen the ball joint on the neck of the red shogunzord.

In doing so, you don't use as much force to turn the Shogun Megazord's head around and the helmet stays in place because of that.

Just made 3 of the Shogunzords (Red, White and Yellow) and I really don't think they are as fragile as people think. My red leg twirls fine. Not too stiff, not too loose.
Was really nervous too. I think those breakages must have been coming from rough maneuvers with them so as long as you take your time and are gentle (they are models after all) they won't break.

Really loving the articulation.

EDIT:

Completed. Man do they look awesome together (Ninja and Shogun). If it wasn't such a pain to post pics here I'd totally upload some.

What are the actual chances the MMPR version of the Minipla Shogun is actually going to revise the mold to address the leg issues?

I'm not sure if I should wait for that or just mod Muteki like everyone else is doing.

There is no way to know. I plan to get the MMPR version just to support the American release.

In the end its a matter of how much you want him. Want him now, or later.

And remember there's no guarantee they might fix whatever is wrong with the Shogun later on.

Also a bottle of silicon oil is a long term investment. I've had mine for 8 years and I still have SO MUCH.

EDIT: Going back to the 3D Printing topic I brought up a while ago; does anyone have ideas on what kind of part would increase Shogun Megazord's height?

Maybe thicker feet platforms? A thigh extender?

Here ya go! They both look really good, but its weird seeing Ninja Megazord tower over the Shogun, when the TV show was the other way around.

yeah he looks scaled down, which is what i feared because trying to add limbs or anything to make him taller or bigger isn't going to work.. I'm not to familiar with trains but I think it's like having an N scale and an O scale together but trying to say their they same scale..you know?

I understand you completely. The only practical thing I see is some kind of molded platforms for the feet to adding millimeters to the height. Maybe the thickness of the front toe you see there, or a pinkie finger.

Damn. I was hoping it was the Mega Voyager announcement, but it was just a PR announcement. Oh well

It costed 4860 yen for live boxer and 4536 yen for liverobo when pre ordering on bandai premium. So around 10000 would be just a normal price.
Knowing that it will quite hard to find live boxer now as it was premium only , it is only a matter of how many you would be likely to pay to have them (thanks for those people to have buy it only to sell it more expensive latter and bandai to make this a premium release only without giving some chance to order it again later...)

These arguments always confuse me. It was freely available to preorder at many places. You can't really blame anyone for not getting one.

One source of blame is Bluefin once again not fully committing to a line. They brought over Live Robo, but never brought Boxer without saying ahead of time.
