Just checked my Tamiya paints and looks like my gold leaf is no longer good but my silver is still useable. Maybe I'll just stick with the stickers. Haha

Just finished making the Ninjazords. Man they are incredible. Was going to display them in Zord mode but the megazord is so much fun with its articulation.
Shogun next. Is it just Red I need to tread carefully with?

Finished Red. Ended up using the stickers instead of painting it and I have to say, it turned out a lot better than I was expecting. Instead of sanding the pegs for the leg issue I just shaved a small chamfer onto the edges of the hexagon shaped holes which did help it rotate easier.

Red, Black, and Yellow. Red's thighs pegs need to be lubricated with silicon oil, and sanded and shaved down.

Black and Yellow's grey joint that forms the knee joint of the Shogun Megazord need to have plastic reduced at the notches.

Also, InfinityVirtue, what is a small bezel? Sounds like something useful to do in the future?

I think bezel was the wrong word. lol. I meant chamfer and I'm not sure how to describe it. I just cut the right-angle of the edges of the hexagon to be at an angle instead. Here is an image I found explaining it better: https://res.cloudinary.com/engineeri...rey_okajtg.jpg
It's a bit rough but since it's covered up I don't really mind.

I asked him if he would be so kind to after I gave him the empty sticker sheets and scanned the damaged labels

It's MUCH shinier and more durable to stretching. Sides still need work but the front looks great

Oh man. If he did the Kuma and Gero leg Emblems this thing would be blinging!

I have a weird question.

Is there anyone on this forum who has experience in 3D Printing projects for figures? I kind of wanna see if there is a way to commission a piece to increase the Shogun Megazord's height. I got the Ninja Megazord super minipla. It s an AMAZING figure, but I am shocked how taller it is compared to the Shogun.

I was thinking a there would be some way to get a fix via Shapeways? Any way to approach this?

Just keep in mind, there's usually 2 parts to any project like that: The Modeling & The Printing. Many folks have 3D printers and are fine with printing a model, but often folks who commission them don't have a model and don't realize they need that part of the service as well.

Well, I cancelled my Shogun Megazord pre-order. All these breakage reports have me paranoid, and it's far from my favorite design.

Aww, thatís too bad. Some of these model kits really require some patience and a little extra work if youíre willing to put it in. If you do, itíll turn out good. Maybe the next one 😊

Kind of reminds me of early garage kits. They required a lot of extra work to complete, but for those who were willing and able to put in said work, the results were fantastic.

I had an Evangelion kit 10+ years ago. It was entirely cast from resin and even *thinking* about putting it together took effort. I believe it was made by VOLKS. I spent awhile putting together smaller kits to try and prepare myself for the eventual build. I couldn't do it. Wound up selling (or probably trading. It's been awhile) it, since there was no way I could have done it justice.

It feels kind of weird to feel *nostalgic* for that kind of experience, I sorta do.

Anyone interested in me making them updated stickers, for replacements?.. I have super easy solution...cheaper than buying another set LOL
This would be fantastic.

I built Muteki Shogun last night. I sanded down the problem areas. Yellow and Blackís neck pegs still bend the area around them when you rotate that piece, but I think it will hold. At least I hope.

Hey, don't cry for me Argentina: I've got the Megazord, the Dragonzord, I've got the Astro and Delta Megazords on pre-order, I've got the Ninja Falconzord coming this month, and I own the entirety of their GaoGaiGar releases. Oh, and I'm getting the Gridman kits too.

Something had to give, you know?

That's too bad. With some TLC it can be a decent item. It's not as epic as I imagined it would be but I've got it in an okay condition now

I like the White Kark because it's the simpilist to transform. My Blue Logan has a snapped piece inside I haven't fixed yet

Plus no need for eye labels!
