Merchandise Hauls Thread, August 2019

Moderators/Admin wrote:
Hauls Thread. You know the drill.

Please don't re-quote images on the same page. Don't re-quote every single image just to say something is neat or cool. Edit out the [IMG] tags and everything in between to remove the photos.

Please do not complain about what things someone has purchased. It's lame to hear you post your hauls and then moan because someone else bought something in multiples or you think they are hoarding. If you want it so bad, save up for it and get it!

Do not attempt to resell your hauls here. That is what the Marketplace Forum is for. Create a new sales thread, or update an existing sales thread and sell them in there please.

Please keep images 800 pixels in width.

What you can post here
  • Toys
  • Video games
  • Movies
  • Important life purchases
What you can't/shouldn't post here
  • Sexually/graphically explicit "hauls"
  • Groceries
  • General life supplies, including, but not limited to
    • shipping supplies
    • frequently purchased custom supplies
    • household items
  • Drugs/alcohol, anything of an illegal nature
  • Awards
  • Your "awaiting/just purchased" lists (It's not a haul until you get it!)
While this thread is not specific to Power Rangers, Sentai, Kamen Rider related merchandise, at the end of the day it is still supposed to be centered around the merchandise you buy for your collection. A new morpher, the latest comic book series you are reading, and even a new car you just purchased... stuff like that is fine.
Tape for when you ship packages, the same tube of bondo you have used on some of your customs for the last year, or an award for straight A's at school are not really what this thread is for.

That's it guys, have fun!
August is upon us. (Little bit late on the thread since I hard work today, but I digress)
The end of summer is soon, and school is about to be back in session for others.
Meanwhile the Toy isles will hopefully line up with clearance and other goodies for everyone to find.

So, I just got in the very first piece of Toku merch (from Japan, not counting Power Rangers stuff) that I've ever bought

I got them new from a good seller who was having a sale, so I got what I could get (which is why there is two types of Drive and no OOO). From a US middleman, with a 50% off if you buy 3 or more sale, it was $22.25 (including shipping, which ended up only taking about 3 days), which was in my opinion a good bargain. I don't have a Ziku Driver, so I don't mind getting the more simplistic ride watches (plus I can play all four of their sounds even without the driver, which is cool).

I know they're just little plastic things, but I like them a lot. Even though I couldn't get a watch for my favorite Rider (OOO), I did enjoy Fourze, Ex-AID and Drive a lot, so I got stuff for shows I like. I do regret not just getting a Den-O or Faiz watch (which were also avaliable at the time) instead of Type Formula, but I was surprised by the sale and rushed, and anyway i like Drive enough that its not a big deal.

Finally got a copy of Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse on Bluray today for practically free thanks to a gift voucher given to me by my sister as part of a thank you goody bag for walking her down the aisle at her wedding this past Friday

Now here's a blast from the past, that I was lucky to stumble onto online the other day.
Oddly enough I never owned any of the Mario Movie toys as a kid, but always wanted some as I got older.
Though as cool as they are, I kinda feel like I might end up tossing them on ebay sooner then later.

Another random addition to the...

"It's not Dekaranger, but it IS kinda related with a couple of connections and I like it anyway so whatever"

...collection. 👀

It's missing a small neck piece on the dog head, but it still works fine without it. Now all I need is the Green Ranger version and collection complete.

Picked these guys up at Comic-Con and just got them on display. Really love all the little details they gave Optimus. The Matrix of Leadership has a green crystal and the license plate number is ECTO-35.

Yep! It would've been fun if they had made more based on other dog breeds but there's only two different sculpts out of four. Red came with the regular version of RIC, Shadow's is the same regular RIC but in silver/blue, Blue's is a red bulldog, and Green's is the same bulldog but in yellow.

I always thought it would've been a genius nod to Deka to have Blue with a husky, Green with a bulldog, Omega with a boxer...

Finally got my chance to pick up a 4K UHD HDR TV during a sale yesterday (Panasonic 55" TH-55GX800A). I had no idea there would be so much tinkering involved in trying to get it to play nice with my soundbar and gaming consoles, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Been on a PS1 game collecting spree as of late. Jet Moto 1/2, FF8, Tetris Plus, SD 2: Know Your Role, Tomb Raider 2 are all games I have acquired over the course of the last week.

I believe they are advance copies. Growing up, a friend's mom worked in a big video rental store (not a chain, just a really comprehensive one) and she used to bring those home and we would watch movies before they were officially out on VHS. They had similar markings on them about not being for sale or rent.

Pretty much. I got this and a bunch of other screener copies of random movies yesterday for free.
Muppet Tresure Island, Kazaam of all things, and some other various ones.

That's pretty cool

Holy digital versatile disc Batman that's a lot of caped crusader.

So I recently got a six month free trial to Prime and quickly found that it had Comic Book Men on there, while watching the series I found myself wanting to properly watch the 66 series (something I only ever really saw in passing as a kid). After seeing the boxset cheap I quickly grabbed it and decided I'd better complete the series.

I had quite a time trying to acquire this slice of anime history. All of my usual import-friendly haunts in the city had no idea when they'd be receiving their copies, and Ebay was another story in itself: One seller attempted to take my money and run, and another was kind enough to inform me - after a couple of months of waiting - that their supplier had no idea when they'd be receiving it. Thankfully, I was refunded in both aforementioned cases, and the seller responsible for this purchase actually had the set in stock.

Haul from the past ten days (mostly from my birthday):

- From mom: 2 sets of DC Nano MetalFigs - each including 5 die-cast figurines
- From brother: A bunch of Batman colouring books
- From sister: Gundam Markers - Basic Set of 6 Colours
- From dad: Gundam Model Kit - RGM 79D 'GM Cold Districts Type

Some money from grandma, which went towards the following:
- Gundam Marker Panel Liner (Black)
- Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Owltimate Edition (Switch) - had it digital on Wii U, but a local retailer had it physical on Switch for 15$, so I had to grab it, as it's a really good game

And my MMPR Red boots arrived, only a week after they'd been shipped from China. I am putting together an MMPR Red cosplay but the seller that I got my MMPR Green costume from last year, no longer ships to Bulgaria, except with DHL...and since I didn't want to pay import fees, like you always do with DHL, I went for another seller. That seller however, didn't have boots, so I picked them up separately, hoping they'd be as good as my green ones.

Once they arrived, lo and behold, they're actually BETTER than the ones the Chinese suits usually come with. The faux leather is much better, the sewing is top notch, they're super comfy and the zipped is now on the back, instead of on the inside. At 35$ shipped I am quite impressed with how great the quality is.

My suit though has been sitting in Frankfurt for a week now, not sure why it's still there and not transfered over to Bulgaria...hopefully it will be here in time for Comic-Con next month.

Oh, and my brother brought me a bag of random toys he picked up at thrift stores in his town, some of the highlights:
- PR Samurai Mega Blade (which is awesome!!)
- MMPR 1993 T-Rex Zord - my first contact with the original Megazord. I'm surprised how similar the Legacy one is.
- Batman TAS - The Riddler Figure
- Batman Forever - Quick-Change Dick Grayson Figure

Was only supposed to walk out with the standard steelbook that I ordered, but ended up returning it to put towards the collection.
