For those of you who have a PS4 or Xbox One, what are some of the good exclusive games that you would use to sell someone on getting one of those systems. Ended up getting a ton of credit at gamestop due to the promotion they have going on right now and have enough to get either a PS4 or Xbone, but not sure which one to get.

Since I have a PS4,I can recommend some good exclusives
Infamous:Second Son
Dariusburst Chronicles
Street Fighter 5,as polarizing as it may be.
Another one for PS4: Knack. It was a launch title, but it had a fun story, and it's getting a sequel soon.

I recall someone earlier in the thread inquiring about what the connections for the controllers are. They are indeed Wii Nunchuck style connectors, like the mini NES Classic used.

I thought this was super cute - At least for the European & Japanese release, the controller ports are hidden behind a panel so they could keep the design of the like the original

Had to go out and buy a new GPU this morning, basically draining my savings. My older AMD R9 290x was giving me major artifacting while under load, and I know it's not a heating issue.

So I went out and got a card about on par with it, the newer AMD RX 560. Getting about the same performance in Final Fantasy XIV, so I can't complain too much for the price.

A lot of people love Horizon Zero Dawn on PS4, but I haven't played it. If you enjoy Japanese games, then the PS4 is a no brainer. Especially with stuff like the Sword Art Online games, and I don't think Attack on Titan is on Xbox One, either.

There's also stuff like Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth and World of Final Fantasy. Those games are also on the Vita, but aside from a small fanbase, basically no one owns a Vita anymore. Importantly, they're not on Xbox.

However, if your 360 is on the frits, and you have a bunch of games for it, then it's worth owning an Xbox one for that.

Honestly, the Xbox One doesn't really have exclusives. The best stuff is also coming to PC, and real potential system sellers like Phantom Dust and Scalebound got cancelled.
That's what I'm kinda seeing and why I'm starting to lean more towards a PS4. My 360 became a DVD player after I got a PS3 and started getting all multi-plat games on the PS3. But I was looking over games on both systems and kinda forgot about some games coming out for PS4 that I am interested in such as FFXII, forgot about Dragon Quest Heroes II (though I'm holding out hope that will come stateside for Switch) and a few others I'm probably still forgetting. The main thing for Xbox One I was interested in was Rare Replay, but I can see the base One model going lower in price in the next few years, so I'll probably wait for that and just go for a PS4.

It's interesting seeing how different the Japan SNES classic is going to be, not just in looks but it sounds like it will have a few different games then the NA version.

Yeah, looks like they substituted a few that didn't get a US release or weren't popular there. Earthbound, Kirby's Dream Course, Super Punch-Out, and Super Castlevania are the replacements.

LOL

When I was 12, I dragged my parents all the way downtown for a "Super Sale" convention to get cheap video games, and all they had were multiple copies of Bubsy.

Agreed in that everyone loves Akuma, but did that game come out on Super Nintendo?

I know Alpha 2 did...

*looks up* Nope, turns out it didn't. But really, I was mainly joking at the obscene amount of enhanced rereleases that game got. I'd prefer today's model of microtransactions to paying full price for a game four times in a row.

Wait, so that one wasn't a market based title of the same game that's on the US version?

We had to evolve to get here, man.

Back then, we had a thing called friends so everyone could buy a different update.

SFII Turbo was the first home release to feature playable Balrog, Vega, Sagat and Bison. Super SFII was the first home release to feature T. Hawk, Fei Long, Dee Jay and Cammy.

On the SNES, but Championship Edition on Genesis, which came before Turbo, had the playable bosses. Super SF2 introduced Fei Long, Cammy and the gang.

And now, of course, we have Ultra Street Fighter 2, raising the character count to 19, including Akuma.

Aw man, Japan will get Super Street Fighter II? It'll be so incomplete. But I think I remember reading somewhere that Super Street Fighter II is massively slower compared to its siblings in the II era? Maybe, gameplay wise, the US/EU releases of Hyper Fighting are getting the better deal?

There's just something magical about the 17-character Street Fighter II era roster. Evil Ryu and Violent Ken are a massive waste though. Would've been cool to perhaps swap them out for characters from the other eras just to see how they would look and run on the classic engine, like Sakura or Rufus, then round it up to a perfect 20 with either somebody entirely new, or another character from the other eras.

This is the most talk of Street Fighter that I've seen on RangerBoard in years.

Where were y'all during IV?

Not going to lie, I've never played a Street Fighter game. Same reason I never played a Mortal Kombat game: I just didn't feel like sinking in the sufficient time to get good at it.

I recently learned something very interesting about a game I used to play. After meeting voice actress Jennifer Hale, who voiced Bastila Shan in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, at Fan Expo Dallas a few months ago I was curious to find out who voiced Carth Osani. To my surprise, it was Raphael Sbarge who plays Dr. Hopper/Jiminy Cricket on Once Upon a Time.
