Wizard and Vader are great examples of fabric done right... even to an extent Eternal... it's just that the wire isn't as strong as I'd like it to be... but Thor is just sad.

But... HOLY CRAP! This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!!!

Yesss, the orange on the non armored parts is so amazing. A solid 99/100 on this guy (they really ripped us off with the ankle tilt) but man, definitely the best looking thing figuarts has made in a while

As for the cape discussion, I used to agree with the preference of plastic capes over cloth but getting a MAFEX Superman changed my mind on that real quick. But, it would be cool if they gave us options...like, included both somehow.

Yeah, I got mine last week along with Zi-O; needless to say, Zi-O looks like total garbage next to Magma. The only flaw I can find with him is the orange in the hip joint doesn't quite match the incredible metallic orange on the rest of the suit, but it's easily hidden with some clever posing.

Zi-O is probably a perfectly fine figure, he just... shouldn't have arrived at the same time as Banjou.

He is!!

Itís just a simple set up. I just used coroplast for the box. But cardboard will work fine. Tissue paper on the sides and top. Simple light setup on both. Black fabric for the back drop. The base is a tile from Lowes. Kylash actually told me to use the tiles, they make great bases.

Iím getting ready to make a brand new one... this one is a little small, but works for one or two figures.

EDIT: The photo box, not Magma.

Is it that time of the month again? Where we get magazine scans of the next figuarts reveals?

Wow. A photo box makes things look out of this world!

For those want to purchase one. There's different types on amazon

Actually, Iím keeping it too... for shoots like this... but the bigger one for multiples and larger items. Really and honestly, look up photobox or lightbox tutorials and you can make one for cheap. The lights will be the biggest chunk of money. I would sell it if I wasnít still going to use it.

Or....

Do this. You really need to pay attention to the size, but these usually come with everything you need.

I only make my own cause I have access to the stuff at work.

Curious question here, but do you guys think the Lightning Collection is a proper fill in for the lost Sentai Figuarts? I'm kinda excited about them. My old MMPR Figuarts look kinda outdated looking at them now.

Yesss, he looks as gorgeous and as goofy as ever. Shame I missed out on the Genm Zombie gamer though for the good reenactments. Defintiely getting this guy though as I missed a lot of the Ex-Aid releases due to other things...

I hope this means we'll see Build Rabbit Rabbit and Tank Tank soon. AND most importantly..................Muteki Gamer...wtf is taking him so long? He got teased back during Build's initial releases, no?

I am excited for the lightning collection, but I don't think they are a proper fill in for the Figuarts (for many reasons). Most of my problems with it still stem from the fact that it is, intentionally, a retail collector line. I just opened my SHF Kyoryuger boxes again to look and while I don't expect any 20-25$ figures to come with EVERYTHING they did, from what we've seen here, we're not going to get an Armed On mode for Dino Charge Red, or the biggest offender for me across all of these releases...no role call hands. Also, the elbow and knee pegs are showing and that's just a big peeve of mine.

That's not to say they don't have their pros. The Lightning Collection definitely looks more uniformly proportionate (as it seemed SHF was always trying out new things) and learned things from Marvel Legends and avoided the big issues with them...but the plastic quality has yet to be seen. And, the elbow and knee joints seem to be painted, so no custom painted needed at that level--only for small details, if you really care that much.

Going off of what SHF was doing with Sentai towards the end (the Goranger and Sun Vulcan figuarts), I'd still much rather have figuarts, but Lightning Collection is definitely worth the consideration., especially with what they're doing with Zedd. (Which I never got why Tamashii Nations didn't do a Goldar or Zedd or...anything considering MMPR was apparently the biggest attention they've ever gotten for the SHF line...)

(Also, there are still 15+ teams that as of right now, technically aren't power rangers, so Hasbro probably can't/won't do them)

Does it say if Woz is an exclusive? These 5980 yen+ debut prices are getting crazy. I want him though to stand with Necrom as the Ben 10 Riders

Doesnít appear so

Notice yoda has some red text over the sh figuart text. That usually means itís a soul shop exclusive

Also any figure with antenna or clock hands in this instance worries me. I feel like I could break them

GS is correct, the text above S.H.Figuarts states:

Yoda would be nice, but that's simply to much for him. Archive BS will have to do. But Woz!

How do you guys display your figuarts? Like by series, scenes, moments?

Itís either more accessories for figuarts or a better sculpt for lighting collection. I would prefer lightning since they seem to have a better sculpt, plus it has a better chance at making other teams than figuarts ever did.

The thing that bothered me about Sentai figuarts is that they definitely feel like they were made back in 2010. Even General Rider figuarts felt like an upgrade compared to Sentai.

All of the above. But then, I only have the one so far.

But Goku is on my general DB shelf alongside other figures, a child Goku alarm clock, a shot glass and a few other DB items.
