I mean, they're releasing some of the Super MiniPla in the US: surely Bluefin wouldn't skip out on the Ninja Megazord. Right?

...right?

I haven't followed the market, but have they released Titanus?

Muteki Shogun was always my favourite anyway.

It's Bluefin. Everything is always a toss-up with them until they decide to announce a local release or not long after P-Bandai's JP orders closed.

I thought they just showed him off at shows. Don't think the official release came yet.

So as someone brand new to mini-pla (just got the US release of Dragonzord and love it), is that AmiAmi site where most people tend to buy theirs for shipment to the US?

Also, would anyone care to explain the "Series 04", "Series 05" names? It feels like it should be self-explanatory, but when I look at past releases it seems like there have been way more than 4 or 5 of these released. Sorry if I'm being dumb here.

To answer your questions. Yes, Ami is where we get a lot of things. Their prices are usually lower and cheaper to ship. However they sell out quickly on a lot of things. And as time has progressed, some sites are getting better prices, but Ami gets more selections of goods than others.

Series numbers are associated with the Sentai of that year. So the 4 and 5 are the 4th and 5th Minipla set releases for Pato vs Lupin. Also, if you miss a Minipla set, good luck getting it again without paying higher fees... usually they get a selection and thatís it.

Muteki and the rest of the Kakuranger Minipla are part of the Super Minipla line, not associated with the standard releases of the Sentai proper.

Have now received my Pato Kaiser and I like it. I've yet to assemble Good Striker with already having the one from Lupin Kaiser so it's either one or the other at the moment.

The extra head is an interesting idea as the normal head that sits inside Ichigou is a bit small and sits quite far inside the hood. Not sure whether I'll keep the large head as it's a little far forward to look completely in line with the body, but it's not drastic.

My only gripe is that Nigou's canopy comes in plain green with no stickers to colour in the frame so I've actually painted it. Otherwise, all my Lupato kits so far are unpainted.

Looking forward to getting the rest of the range. Done with DX now until I win the lottery or something like that.

Great, thanks. Any particular reason some are Super Minipla? What makes them different?

Super Minipla features more stickers/paint detail and better articulation/transformation than regular minipla.

Minipla release is for the current sentai season. (there are other series in the minipla line but it is mostly sentai). I think it is aimed to children (simplier that super minipla, no tools needed)
Super minipla also cover more things : not only (older) sentai series but other robot series (like gaogaiger, Voltron, Galian, Gorg...). I think it is aimed to adult toys collectors (toold needed, even better finish than regular minipla)

Makes sense! Thanks guys. Last question - am I understanding right that some of them come as separate individual pieces? Or are they normally also sold in a full box together like the US release of the Megazord is?

Recently they've been selling full sets. "Usually" though, they come in boxes of 12 all assorted

Got Liverobo in the mail on Monday, can't wait to start building it !

As for the Kakuranger mecha. Tsubasamaru being Premium Bandai only was to be expected, but Kakure DaiShogun as well? I understand Bandai are here to make profit and all, but that's really pushing it.
