After reading Mouse Guard, I want Moss to have the option of slaying a snake. From inside its mouth.

So more info released about AC: Origins:

-Ubisoft Montreal is leading development on Origins; a number of people working on the game previously worked on Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The game has been in development for three and a half years.

-Origins' Egypt is three times larger than the map of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and is composed of 5 areas: Giza, Memphis, Siwa, the Nile Delta and Faiyum. These feature many historical monuments and sites, as well as more vibrant and lush areas like the great pyramids of Giza and river Nile.

-You can travel around Egypt by land and by water. On land you can travel at faster rate using horses or camels while on water you can travel by boat and use a large paddle to move yourself forwards. On the side of the boat you can find shields to protect against enemies firing arrows at you. Swimming is also vastly expanded, as you can now randomly dive underwater in search of collectibles and fight marine animals like crocodiles and hippopotamuses if you wish to do so.

-With the new combat system, fighting in Assassin's Creed: Origins has been fully redesigned around weapon hitboxes and positioning rather than timed animations, giving you far more control over every combat encounter. Since your enemies have that same freedom, this means that you'll have to consider the positioning and timing of your attacks more than ever before.

-In addition to a revised combat system, the new Adrenaline Gauge allows you to build up energy as you fight, giving you the ability to unleash devastating finishing moves on your enemy.

-Unlike previous Assassin's Creed games, Assassin's Creed: Origins will have no mini-map for a more immersive experience but will feature a normal map. Assassin's Creed: Origins also adds a controllable eagle called Senu which can be used to scan the area and mark places and enemies. Eagle Vision can be used to see objects, though enemies cannot be seen with the ability. Assassin's Creed: Origins also has much more RPG elements in the game with things like a redesigned weapon menu and leveling up is more vital than before.

Almost done opening up all my loot boxes on Injustice. 3 weeks worth of them. Over 600 boxes mostly the lower two. Still over a hundred gold ones. This has taken me HOURS to open all these. Red Hood is apparently there for Xbox but people on PS4 US side haven't gotten him yet for whatever reason.

Happy with the opening of the boxes. I got the staff of grayson and 3 of the nightwing pieces. Also got Orange, Yellow, Red and Indigo chests for Hal plus a couple shaders for Hal. So only a couple more lantern symbols.

Anther edit. Anyway I got all my characters to level 20. Most will have by the time I'm done level 20 epic gear. A few won't because I just don't have epics for those slots. I have worked extremely hard to do this for Red Hood's launch. He is the only one I don't have at 20. Which I will have tomorrow. Not sure about gear but I'll figure something out I have 3 million+ credits to blow through >=) .

-Yoshi looks adorable as always.
-Mario Odyssey looks crazy with the hat-ghost possession.
-More BotW amiibo? Really? They can't make enough of the current models!
-Xenoblade 2 looks pretty good so far
-No gameplay footage of Fire Emblem Warriors was annoying. A game this close to completion really should have been shown off more.
-NSMB style Kirby game could be a lot of fun

The lack of Monster Hunter XX was disappointing. Overall not a terrible showing, but not an overly exciting one either. When the two biggest pieces of news are Metroid 4 and Pokemon in development for Switch, that's not much to go on. I get they are focussing on 2017, but there was very little gameplay footage shown.

I know they do the whole treehouse thing these days, but still.

USUM being the final 3DS Pokemon titles makes sense, the console is 6 years old now.

Nintendo, take us on home.

-Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Didn't like Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, not bothering with this game.

Next.

-Kirby 2018, Yoshi 2018

Sidescrolling platformers, don't care.

NEXT.

-Pokken Tournament DX

Don't care about Pokken.

(And an offhand mention that a mainline Pokemon game on Switch does in fact exist)

NEXT

-METROID PRIME 4

NINTENDO'S KEEPING THE DREAM ALIVE BOYS AND GIRLS.

(...it's true that we've barely got a minute long teaser that only shows the logo but stiiiillllll!!!!)

And at the very least, Nintendo has stopped wallowing in their shame because of Other M.

-Fire Emblem Warriors

Still conflicted on this one.

I like Fire Emblem, but I still DON'T like Dynasty Warriors gameplay.

-Rocket League

Yeah, this game is coming to Switch. I hear it's great, haven't played it myself.

The big surprise being that this supports cross-platform play...which I believe is a first for Nintendo.

If not their first ever, it's their first in a long while, right?

-LoZ: Breath of the Wild DLC

I dunno, I still think it's weird that the extra-hard game mode is being relegated to DLC. Or the new outfits/armor.

In fact I still think it's incredibly weird that Nintendo isn't providing the option to purchase any of the DLC separately and you have to get the Season Pass t-

Wait for this "Champion's Ballad"...they teasing making the Four Champions and Zelda playable?

...............

FINE. I'll buy your stupid season pass!

-Mario: Lost Odyssey

Ok yeah, the mechanic of Mario possessing enemies with his new magic hat was pretty cool.

...fine. I'll pre order this game.

----------------------------------------

Verdict: And all the coolest stuff...was the stuff that was just teasers to stuff they aren't ready to talk about.

Similar situation to Sony in that Nintendo was devoted to talking about games people already know exists and are already sold on buying. And some of it being games I *personally* don't care about, but I know others do.

On top of having the shortest press conference (not counting the extremely weird Devolver Digital one) decent showing, nothing great.

I'm guessing we'll see Monster Hunter during the Treehouse stream at some point. They probably just didn't want to show an HD version of a handheld game after the World reveal.

Not much to say about Nintendo other than that. Odyssey looks incredible, but Yoshi and Kirby look like very bland platformers. I'm interested in Fire Emblem, but the story isn't the strong suite there and Xenoblade might end up good, but the whole "young boy who goes on an adventure after meeting mysterious girl" is a ridiculously tired cliche.

Pokemon on the Switch is good news, though with nothing to actually show, it was obviously only done to quell some of the outrage over Ultra Sun/Moon.

I don't even play Metroid, and even I acknowledge that Prime 4 was one of the best announcements of this whole thing, especially after the mixed reception of Other M and the disaster of Federation Force.

Other big thing for me is Mario Odyssey. Gameplay looks fantastic, worlds look imaginative and huge.

EDIT: Metroid: Samus Returns on 3DS, a remake of Metroid 2: Return of Samus originally on Game Boy.

EDIT: Beaten by a few seconds. Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS, amazing how we went from people saying Metroid was dead to getting two new Metroid games.

Something to keep in mind with Nintendo and E3 is that the treehouse segments also announces new games. It was that way last year and Nintendo has been saying that for a few days now it will be the same this year. If you aren't watching treehouse and are interested in Nintendo games, you probably should be.

Also, I think we just found out why that metroid 2 remake got pulled down. Lol.

Mario Odyssey looks pretty damn good. Yoshi will delight my wife. She's not a huge gamer, but loves Mario and Yoshi games, so I know those will be bought for sure.

Congrats to you Metroid fans... that's been a loooooonnnnggggg time coming.

Very excited for Kirby, Yoshi, and Mario Odyssey.

I'm not a Metroid fan, but I know plenty of others who are so I'm happy for you Metroid fans out there.

I wasn't really that impressed with Mario Odyssey before, but holy pasta power did that new trailer blow me away.

So it was leaked a while ago, but Nintendo has officially announced Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions coming out October 6th for the 3DS. It's a remake of the GBA Mario & Luigi plus an added story staring goombas.
