Are there any figure stands compatible with the Lightning Collection?

I still believe the Figuarts are objectively superior, but since theyíre not even a choice anymore, LC should be an acceptable substitute.

Yeah, I got my order in today too; just Zedd and Shadow/DekaMaster for me.

Zedd is great; articulation, paint apps on the body, and the fact they went all out on the tubing just makes it a great way to start this line. His joints are potentially an issue; his hips are VERY loose compared to everything else, whilst his shoulders and ankles have those horrible clicky ball joints that don't help for posing and are worryingly stiff.

Doggie is a bit of a letdown. The missing paint apps are just too big of a deal not to comment on, particularly when both the box art and especially the proto image on the back feature the silver logo on the helmet, as well as all the silver and red missing from various places. The fact that any silver on him is also a very BoA-esque dull grey is also disappointing, especially compared to the silver they used for Zedd's body (not his staff). The Doggie head is nicely painted, which is probably why the body took a hit, but since I'm more partial to Sentai it's a non-issue for me.

It's a mixed bag, so far. I'll wait and see if they pop up in UK stores before deciding if I want to get the other two (since I already have the Figuarts versions and don't know if these are gonna be worth replacing them with). I'm curious to see how they handle the figures in the next wave.

I got lucky and found an infinity War Thor at Target yesterday, but after hunting for a month I gave up and used Gamestopís Website to have a local store put a Lord Zedd aside for me. I was afraid Iíd get one with a lot of bad paint, but the one they had for me is actually pretty good except for the head. Looks like the visor was rushed in production and has some splotches. But if you look in the picture, there is a big red splotch of paint over the silver.

Iím just gonna say, in my own little storytelling universe of action figures, that this red splotch is a tumor, and now Zedd is going Walter White in the mmpr universe to make some cash to leave Rita so she doesnít have to sell the moon castle after he is gone. So now itís up to Thor, Green ranger, and Spider-Man to put an end to his evil criminal empire. And for no particular reason Kevin Nash, Mick Foley, and Wolverine are also there.

What are the exact scales of both figures? I thought figuarts and lightning were both the same size.

figuarts is about 5.5 inch scale, and lightning is 6 inch. they are close enough that some wont look out of place together.

Is there a general consensus on what characters people want next? I'd love Ranger Slayer, and maybe Cam and the Thunder Rangers to finish Ninja Storm since Bandai never did.

The first selection was so random I'm not even sure what we'll get. Ranger Slayer would be neat, and is probably the most likely comics if Drakkon is 'done'. More MMPR would probably sell. Beyond that I guess everyone is just hoping for their favorite teams. If we're venturing into 'unlikely but I'd like it', Solar Ranger would be neat.

If I was at Hasbro and in charge of character selection, I would choose:

-Trini, Billy or Zack for MMPR representation (assuming that's a requirement. Hope not!)

- Rita Repulsa, Scorpina, or Rito Revolto (most likely canidates for the next villain pick, in my eyes. But I'd say Astronema or Ecliptor have an equal shot. Personally, I'm banking on Rito for next villain choice.)

- Silver Ranger, Ninjor, or Titanium Ranger for 6th representation (If that also is a thing. Hope it is! I'd choose Silver just to put the screws to Bandai.)

-aaaand anyone else can go here. (Please be RPM! Please be RPM!)

I just realized the void in my life that is the absence of a Lighting Collection Ziggy.

I feel like this is being used as a synonym for "no patterns". Lightning selection doesn't feel remotely random.

Mighty Morpin & Mighty Morphin.
The most popular SCG season.
Arguably the most popular Disney season.

It has something old, something new. Something implicitly safe, something fans demanded.

Wave 2 checks the same boxes. Pink is safe, BM is contemporary and safe, Magna is obscure, but highly popular with fans.

I don't know on that, and we can't say for sure at this point if there's a pattern or not. Here's how I see it:

Wave 1: Mighty Morphin', Popular villain, Popular 6th, recent Ranger.

GS exclusive: Popular villain

Wave 2: Mighty Morphin', Popular 6th, recent Ranger, recent Ranger.

If this is a pattern, and that's a big IF, Goldar fills the villain void and they just put another current Ranger in his place for the wave.

That's my take anyway. I'm not saying that that's what they are doing.

This is why I used the phrase checking boxes, because it's less about distinct patterns. Hasbro isn't beholden to a pattern, even if fans see one, but that perceived decision making from wave-to-wave hasn't been radically different.

We're getting Goldar, not Piggy. It has the security of MMPR and being one of the series' most well established characters. Goldar shows up early in many toylines - 2010, Imaginext, 2017.

It's too early to draw any conclusions (obviously), but "random" almost implies there wasn't much thought put into the selection. Not to mention the fact that "random" statistically wouldn't be so MMPR-heavy.

I'd like to see some repping from some teams that havent had Figuarts- even the ones I dont really like. Lightspeed, Lost Galaxy and Time Force rarely ever get any kind of focus. That'd be neat.
