They technically sort of already kinda did, with Vader's first release bonus. I still can't believe that thing was free. They could definitely sell them and make a killing.

Imagine if BOJ got into dioramas?
daaaaaaamn. me too. the post above has a point though...if they hollow it up on the back, it seems to be the same size or close to the Vader first release bonus and not something they probably wouldn't be upset to make more of.

The Brand New, All Encompassing Bandai Figuarts Toy Thread Pt. IV

Furious.

Amazon has cancelled my Goku Awakening version due to lack of availability. Obviously, after so much time, Japanese preorders are very firmly sold out.

Fucking dicks.

Has anyone heard anything else about the ban on Bandai Star Wars products being sold in the US? I know the figure/ship model kits are no-no's, but what about Figuarts?

Doesn't Nippon-Yasan have a policy that makes them able to cancel your account or ability to order any more in the future if you let a payment just get cancelled?

It's come up a few times in here. I think we're just waiting for an official word, but for now, it seems figuarts will glide under the radar

Not sure, never heard of that being a thing. I guess you'd have to do it repeatedly and developed a bad track record, but they changed their policy on me. I pre-ordered under the assumption that I didn't have to fully pay it off until it's release. But then I got an email months later saying this.

"Due to some changes with Bandai Premium Nippon-yasan.com won't able to propose the Pay later option Unfortunately you will have to you pay for your orders.
This product payment is now required : Dragon Ball Z - S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Vegeta (Premium Color Edition) - Limited Editioin

You can pay your order by clicking "pay my order" in your account order history.

If we don't receive your payment BEFORE 22 September 2015 - 08:00 AM Japan Time, your order will be cancelled."

So this wasn't me neglecting to pay a pre-order but just letting them cancel my pre-order according to this new rule. I guess I could have canceled it myself but I couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do. I wasn't ready to by it, i was expecting to pay for it in December so I just let my time run out.

I don't think I was penalized for it, I didn't get an email stating there were any strikes against me and I seem to still be able to pre-order so I guess I'm still in good standing.

Amiami has that policy. HLJ might too... haven't heard of Nippon having it though.

A friend of mine have the Hulkbuster pre-ordered on Nippon, and since it looks like we'll have to skip it he looked up their policy on cancelled pre-orders.

He says you just don't respond to their payment request and after a certain amount of time they cancel the order, and it won't negatively affect your status (though I don't know how many "strikes" you have before it *will* put you in bad standing with them, if it happens at all).

Even though he's just a Goku with a new head I'm peeved that Amazon cancelled my order.

I'm glad I got the blue haired goku and awakening goku from Japanese retailers.

I'm surprised they're still using the Goku mold. They figured out a really cool way to do the knee joints where you don't see the hinge with the other figures. I would have thought they upgrade the legs at least.

Shit like this is why I've given up on Bluefin. Between that and taking their sweet-ass time announcing what they will be bringing over to America. If they wanted to keep a stable relationship with their customer base, then they need to be in-sync with Tamashii/Bandai to have the answer/info on if/when something will come to America when the item is announced for Japan.

Pre-Ordering via Amazon is a gamble I have never been willing to take and recent events only support my choice. it's not all the time, but something gets screwed too often when it comes to Amazon and Bluefin. The month wait is usually bad enough from Japanese to International release, but adding more delays just isn't worth it.

Yea, back when Sentai figuarts were still a thing and I was actually collecting figuarts, I never pre-ordered from amazon and followed all the way through. I always used BBTS or eBay (for exclusives) Even when I did use amazon to pre-order, it was because they had managed to get up the pre-order before other sites. Once the other sites got it up though, I canceled on amazon and switched accordingly, most of the time to BBTS.
