FINALLY started seeing Kingpin wave at some local walmarts.

FIRST location: ALL BAF pieces stolen out of packages.

SECOND location: The few figures on the pegs were returns with random pieces painted over in white to pass as kingpin. (snip)
Why? I mean, I understand that some people are Animals, but really... why?

Its not legends or select, but this Mafex 90's Spiderman is literally the best Spiderman fiure ever made and I dont think I'll ever need another 6" version. Yes its $90+, but its perfect, nothing is loose, tons of accessories, no QC problems, a stand, just perfect.

that figure does look neat but there have been a LOT of spider-man figures going back to the Toybiz era and there's probably been at least a couple that are comparable (heck I was digging through a bin of my toybiz figures the other day and was amazed at what got done back then)

Most of the Toybiz stuff had hokey action features or something else that hampered the figure. Only the McFarlane style one is somewhat comparable, but this is a completely different 90's style than that figure. Also the fluidity of the joints and dropping hip joints and all of nthe alternate hands and magnetic hands and feet add to it. Other than the toybix figure I show above, no other version captures that Bagley art style like this one.

I've resisted getting the Spider-Ham and 6 arm Spidey waves but the new Spider-Woman Julia Carpenter figure might make me start collecting again. Though I should really sell some of my other figures from my collection...

Heís pretty good. One of the better Legends in awhile.

And I had to do this... my whole reason for getting the Hawkeye figure.

I'd prefer if I could get 2 female bodies in one go. I'm more interested in Scott and Tony without their helmets (I don't think the helmets mesh very well with the suits), and Hawkeye is just the worst. Nebula and Black Widow I could go for, but there's only the one female body and then a male body that, at best, I'd have to find some other head to put on it. Or if I get 2 sets, then I can have Nebula and Black Widow, but then I need to come up with two unmasked heads for the dudes.

Ronin looks great in both figuarts and legends form. I wanna grab a few and mess around for some customs. Hopefully he's easy to find.

Ronin is one figure I've been enjoying immensely.

He's one per case though... Cap is 2, everyone else is 1 per case, so good luck. I was lucky enough to get to Walmart when they put out a fresh case. Ebony was gone, but everyone else was still there. I picked up the last Captain America today, after debating him for the last few days.

I picked up hercules and living laser the other day. Laser is a beautiful looking figure, as is hercules. Im glad I pick up herc when I did, because the rest of the wave, sans 1 cap, was gone the very next day. Im glad everyone is enjoying the rest of the wave, but mcu designs usually dont do it for me.

The problem is, the MCU versions are based more on the initial artwork and not what's in the movies due to the production to have the figures out a month before the movie. That's the unfortunate turn of the events.

I hope that somewhere down the line they do a refresh to make all the figures more like what was in the movies.

But I did get this from BBTS today... oh my!

Its not really the mcu figures I dont really like, but the designs themselves. The book to screen translation usually loses a lot of what I love about classic designs. The colors are usually subdued and not nearly as flamboyant as the kirby and ditko era that I enjoy so much. Ant man is an exception, though.

I have that spider as well, and, "oh my", is correct.

I got the entire case and the Target exclusive...it helps that the Cap body can be used with the Target extra heads...

we'll probably see a lot more of that generic Quantum suit male body...possibly at least a couple more times in future waves (Thor, Banner, War Machine?)

Ebony is spot on with his gesturing hand...you can get a lot of personality poses out of that...
