Coming soon to Charlie’s Geekcast, in a series of specials counting down to the 25th anniversary of Power Rangers, I will be doing a commentary on a randomly selected episode (or 2-parter) from each season! Well, except for the previous anniversary specials. Forever Red, Once a Ranger, and Legendary Battle have already been predetermined.

The Fall of 1992 saw the debut of Batman: The Animated Series, and DC Comics celebrated with a 3 issue mini-series that lasted 36 issues, not to mention produced several specials and annuals, and spun-off into several different series. This episode kicks off a series of episodes where I will be making my way through the DCAU comics series, from the first issue of Batman Adventures to the final issue of Justice League Unlimited. This time out, see Penguin purposely act out of character, witness Catwoman attempt to cause an international incident, watch as Joker unmasks Batman, listen to the tale of an illiterate Gotham, and check out Bruce Wayne being accused of murder!

Does anyone that can see this have a Power Rangers or Toku-related podcast, and have a promo available? I’m putting together the Power Ranger commentary specials, and would love to help promote other related shows! If you have one, PM me.

August 28, 1993 saw the premiere of the first episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, introducing the world to a franchise that is still alive and kicking 25 years later. To celebrate, Charlie's Geekcast will be releasing a new series of special commentary episodes covering a randomly selected episode from each season of the series. This episode kicks off the series with a 2-part episode from season 1, "Return of an Old Friend.”

What do Robin Williams, Tony Danza, and The Incredible Hulk all have in common? Well, besides a unique fashion sense, they all starred in Primetime tv shows from the 1980s. This is the first of a 3-part look at 80s Primetime television, covering the 1979-1980 and 1980-1981 seasons.

Power Rangers Wild Force was the 10th Anniversary season of Power Rangers. To celebrate, they had a special episode called "Forever Red," which reunited almost all of the Red Rangers in a mission to stop the evil Machine Empire once and for all. For our 11th commentary counting down to the 25th Anniversary, we'll be watching this special in all of it's 4:3, Standard Def glory!

PR Special 20 -- Geeking on Commentary: PR SPD

Our 14th commentary counting down to the 25th Anniversary of Power Rangers takes us to the distant future of 2025, where aliens and humans live on earth together, and the galaxy is protected by Space Patrol Delta. In "Perspective," the Rangers manage to stop a thief, but cannot agree on exactly how they managed to accomplish the task.

PR Special 21 -- Geeking on Commentary: PR Mystic Force

Power Rangers Mystic Force is the subject of our 15th commentary counting down to 25 years of Power Rangers, specifically the episode "Soul Specter." While 4 Rangers try to stop a pair of monsters from sealing people's life force, Solaris Knight must battle Koragg to save Chip (the yellow Ranger) from a Soul Specter.

PR Special 22 -- Geeking on Commentary: Once a Ranger

In our 16th commentary counting down to 25 years of Power Rangers, we look at "Once a Ranger," a 2 part special that celebrated the 15th Anniversary during Power Rangers: Operation Overdrive. The son of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa has united all of the Operation Overdrive villians, and with their help, has severed the Rangers' connection to the Morphin Grid. Will even the return of 5 veteran Rangers be enough to save the day? Do I even have to ask?

PR Special 23 -- Geeking on Commentary: PR Jungle Fury

For the 17th commentary counting down to the 25th anniversary of Power Rangers, we look at an episode from Power Rangers Jungle Fury entitled "Can't Win Them All." When Theo, the blue ranger, receives his first defeat (as unlikely as it seems), he loses all of his confidence in himself and his abilities. Can RJ help him get his confidence back in time to help Casey and Lily save the city?
