Hey Everyone!

Jason Bischoff here, Director of Global Consumer Products for Saban Brands. Hope all is well! Normally, I'm a creeper around these parts (always have been, will likely always be). That said, I've noticed a lot of misinformation re: Megabloks and Bruce Lowell's recent Lego Ideas project and I'd like to clear the water.

Before we get started, please note that this is a special, one time post. I will not be taking questions on this topic in the forum (nor will I be answering other questions here). Should you like to get in touch, you can do so publically via twitter @prometheanworks. While I can't always answer (per the limits of my job), I'd like to think that I always do my best (hopefully some of you will vouch for that).

OK, on with the show!

>Re: Mega
-This is an older deal (one that I inherited) that is technically still active
-The more-recent Mega product reveals (again) are older in nature and were held for movie timing
-The upcoming MMPR items will see an extremely limited release in specialty stores worldwide (big box retailers TBD)
-It is a non-exclusive deal

>Re: LEGO Ideas
-This was a very pleasant, unexpected surprise; great timing!
-I really commend Bruce Lowell on his design/work!
-There is nothing about the MEGA deal that prevents us from exploring LEGO ideas
-LEGO ideas submissions often find their way into other Lego avenues (full lines, games etc.)

Can't say it enough: if you'd like to see LEGO Power Rangers stuff, we really need you guys to rally up, get behind it and vote with your votes! Sharing on social is also an excellent way to help (and Bruce has made it easy for us with banners available on his website).

Long story short: I think this campaign is a terrific way to show Lego how big and awesome we are as a fandom.

Thanks for listening,

J.

... huh.

Thank you for stopping by, Mr Bischoff! And thank you for clearing that up with us.

Let's all get voting, I suppose.

I want to buy the set. But it needs 10,000 votes before it becomes a possibility of it being made. It has 2,544 votes so far.

If you haven't already, please vote

I'd anticipate seeing Lego designs based off of the 2017 film before I'd see them going back to do the '93 one, especially with Mega Bloks releasing something resembling the '93 group. I'd even throw in some Lego Dimensions material based on the new film. How cool would that be?

It could be both. The IDEAS set could still be released and be, by its nature as an IDEAS set, a limited release.

LEGO can then find a way to do movie material in a more mass market avenue, such as in LEGO Dimensions.

Sets for the 2017 film would have to have already been designed and in-production by now to come out in-time for the film (basically, we'd already know and quite possibly have seen leaked images by now). I'm sure they'd produce some anyway if they got the licence and opted to make a full line, either for a possible sequel or just generally "later on". But yeah, if this Ideas set is successful, they'll most likely not change it from '93 to '17. It'll stay as it is, and then they can produce a full 2017 line as they like.

And haven't they put the 80s and 2010s Ghostbusters into Dimensions? We could possibly see the same with MMPR and PR2017 if it happened.

They did, and both have worlds too! Not just that but both the 80s and 2010s Ghostbusters have full fledged Ecto-1 sets of their own.

Is it this issue?

The project page is still active and working fine. I'm looking at it right now.
If you guys are getting the page with links to Walmart, Target, Amazon etc, that's just a viglink ad thing. Click the "Continue to lego.com" link on that page to continue as normal.
Because, well, there's the answer. And it's what I get when I click on the link, so if it's anything other than that, it may be an issue on your end.

Thank you for stopping by and clearing this up Jason! I'm going to share the heck out of the Lego Ideas page to hopefully see the set become a reality.

Oh my gosh YES! We need that. Especially with the bridge. Hopefully it could map out the entire ship including the bedrooms, engine room, and my favorite, the secret cryo-chamber room.
Even if they have to do an external megaship separately from an interior set

Delta Megaship would be awesome too.

over 3,000 supporters! And it's only been one week! Maybe by next week we can hit 5,000 and get another extension! (Not that this project needs it with how good it's doing, but it never hurts, you know?)

Pretty neat, but it being an LDD render (and, naturally, without any stickers or otherwise any depiction of things like the shoulder M's) makes it hard to really get a sense of what it'd be like to handle. Let alone the fact that there's no sense of scale.

I feel like a mix of System, Technic and CCBS would really bring a LEGO Megazord to life. This is a great job for what it is, but I'm not as hot on it as I was the Command Center set.

Edit: I will say, though, that they deserve kudos for making a fully articulated, transforming/combining rendition of the Megazord in LEGO-form. That takes some clever design work.
