Magneto from the X-Men Films is Scotish, as is Alan Cummings who plays Jack Frost in Santa Clause 3(lol I know a kids film)

And one of the great James Bonds, the original is as we know Scotish.

I had a laugh before when an American girl I know thought Sean Connery and Ewan MACGREGOR was English lol

I'd hate to tell you, but name really doesn't have anything to do with where the person is from. America is a prime example of that. I have an English/French name, but I'm from neither place.

That's Martin Short, who is Canadian. And McKellan is from England.

Lol that was me being stupid then well it is late, and I thought McKellan was English but I heard a few times that he is Scotish, lol that guy in SC3 just looked like Alan Cummings so I assumed it was him, well he is famous(and he was a baddie in Josie and The Pussycats lol)

And Roberty Carlyle is Scotish, Robbie Coltraine(Hagrid in Harry Potter films) is Scotish lol

No it didn't. It just sounds like that to you (im assuming that you are American or Canadian). I'm pretty sure the rest of the world thinks aussie's and yanks sound just alike. But I could be wrong about that.
