I'm perfectly fine with them personally. Flurious sounds cool. No pun intended. I could do with something a little more creative than Lava Lizards though, but oh well.

I really don't care about names at all....unless the villains are Bob and Dave or something.

I mean, it's not that's deep.

True. They could be called the Durpy Durs and people would still think they're cool.

Of course it isn't deep, those names are too common.

What about Mike and Steve?

I'm not so sure about Overdrive yet, lol. I reserve judgement. I will probably do the same thing that I've done for the last four seasons. Start out hating it and then slowly but surely end up getting in to it. It's kind of become a tradition for me.

I like the fact that the pink ranger is so short! It makes me, a vertically challanged female, feel good, lol. I'm anxious to see how they differentiate between Boukenger and Overdrive. I will miss the character dynamic in Boukenger (Espescially between Natsuki and Masumi), but the Overdrive one sounds interesting.

Isn't there an actor named Dax? He was on Punk'd and in Without a Paddle, wasn't he?

Personally, I like Dax, not too crazy about Mack though. But at least it's better than Rex. And you know I wasn't crazy about the name Chip either until I saw it in context of the character.

So, in conclusion, I have officially talked myself in a circle.

and what makes you think they can't spend a day deciding on the names. Afterall its going to be used for the entire series. So should they decide everything within a one hour conference and call it a day afterwards?

And my being able to come up with names or not has nothing to do with it. I'm not part of the production team. Even if its for kids, i'm pretty sure there'll be some who will groan at the name, even if they're 10, 23, or 40.

Now i'm done with my thoughts on the names.

I wonder if they have group names for Flurious/Chillers, and Moltor/Lava Lizards. For example in Boukenger they have group names like Gordam Civilization, Jaryuu Clan, Dark Shadow, and Ashu Tribe/Quester.
Sentai's villain groups always have names, with the excpetion of Bandora's forces in Zyu. PR has only done it 4 times. (Zeo, WF, SPD, MF)

Mystic Force didn't. Unless you count them being referred to as the Undead, but then you have to count Mutants for Time Force, Demons for Lightspeed, and Evil Space Ninjas for Ninja Storm.

Morlocks in the promos, "Undead" in the show. The rest you sited are too general to be considered names.

Morlocks were never mentioned in the show. I'm pretty sure it was dropped. The Undead is really no less general than the others, but I guess it doesn't matter either way.

after reading half of this thread I have to say the names are fine, not spectacularly cool, but not so bad.
Personally I don't think PROO can get any worse than MF.
and, something I never understood is why Tommyiscancer keeps telling people to lower their standars if they get excited about anything. It is he/she who sould lower his/her standars, the other people should bring them up a notch, if my logic doesn't fail me....
aaanyway, PROO will be what it will be, hopefully better, if the people at Disney got to understand the show will die if it keeps loosing quality, I bet they didn't think it would be so hard and expensive to make, and fans would be so hard to please, when they bought it from Saban....Poor People! LOL.

Well, Goldar and Scorpina were quite "punny", so I guess we shouldn't bitch about these names...
