Rescue Force - The Australian Toku (Pic Heavy): NEVER MADE NEVER WILL BE

Did a search for this but had no hits. Anyway...

Searching around and found this site by the guys who are doing RPM's stunts. Apparently, they've got their own new Aussie Toku in the works. It looks like they're still at the pitching stage, so I dont think it's been picked up or funded or anything yet. However, they've managed to put together an impressive portfolio of what the show would be. Seems to be a real mash of Kamen Rider and Sentai, with a dash of Metal Hero thrown in.
We have started this project with a passion that "We want to create the first original super hero for Australia." and we are now looking for sponsors to provide the Rescue Force, our specially designed characters, as a TV series.
On these FTA TV channels in Australia, about 150 children's programs are showing in a week but there is no live action shows featuring super heroes such as the Power Rangers. This means that Australia still have a potential market for the character business because not only in U.S. but also in many countries in Europe and Asia, they have produced their own super hero's TV programs, adopting ideas from Japan.
Japan is the country in which originated many super heroes has been enjoyed these super hero TV programs for 40 years and the size of the market of the character business, which is said approximately \ 3 trillion or \ 4 trillion including related business, is still growing bigger.
We will improve the Rescue Force project as a pioneer of a new character business in Australia with confidence that this new style business will surely bring us a big profit steadily.
Also, as these super heroes' performance are based on "Kabuki", a Japanese traditional entertainment, so we think that the Rescue Force project will work well in cultural exchange between Australia and Japan as well. Even in the Power Rangers, which is provided by Disney Inc., most of these stuntmen are from Japan, means it's hardly imitated by other countries' people.
Again, we want sponsors to develop this wonderful Rescue Force project together! Let's establish a new boom in Australia!
Please contact us! We will welcome both companies and personal investors who likes our project.
They even have a few demo reels up. A few decent FX shots too.

Raiden December 18th, 2008 07:31 AM

Shadow totaly looks like a kamen rider.

JediMB December 18th, 2008 07:40 AM

Sentai meets Kamen Rider and Cyborg 009, I think. I approve.

And the Red Defender's sword is pretty cool-looking. And big. Big.

Gold Samurai December 18th, 2008 08:00 AM

And I thought this thread would be about Australia adapting "Tomica Rescue force"

Shin Kamen rider maybe?

Kivat December 18th, 2008 08:05 AM

this name sounds familiar

[]V[]etal []_ion December 18th, 2008 08:47 AM

Damn that sounds great, i love Shadow, who i agree is basicaly a Kamen Rider thrown into the PR aspect, that being the heroes (who i am reminded of OO/Boukenger). Anyone think the name 'Defenders of the Earth' is taken from another Toku, Spectre?

MoonsKnight December 18th, 2008 08:47 AM
this name sounds familiar
Only if you paid attention to the small discussion on it in the original RPM thread.

Sadsmileyface December 18th, 2008 08:50 AM

Shut up Moons! I DISCOVERED IT!

MoonsKnight December 18th, 2008 08:54 AM
Shut up Moons! I DISCOVERED IT!
No you didn't. Fraud.

I should have you arrested.

PurpleWindRangr December 18th, 2008 08:57 AM

This actually sounds really cool. It sounds interesting.

KibaFaiz December 18th, 2008 09:34 AM

Skullman FTW.

yami senshi youkaiou December 18th, 2008 09:59 AM

A couple of poor man's Power Rangers fight Skullman for a poor man's Corona Aurora while a poor man's Kamen Rider is the Quantum Ranger/RyuJinOh character.

That actually sounds pretty cool.

And yeah when I first read the title I was thinking Tomica Hero myself.

Sadsmileyface December 18th, 2008 10:31 AM

The poor mans Corona Aurora WAS the Corona Aurora.

yami senshi youkaiou December 18th, 2008 10:43 AM

I was just trying to think of a way to describe the show since everyone's looking for the star shards.

MegaRed December 18th, 2008 10:59 AM

That's actually pretty cool looking

JediMB December 18th, 2008 11:02 AM

Just thought I'd add that I think the top halves of the helmets are a bit... under-designed, so to speak, but other than that the suits are quite excellent!

Knight Rider December 18th, 2008 11:42 AM

i approve. I even had a cousin named julian

JDF'd December 18th, 2008 11:43 AM

Not a fan of the drilldo helmets.

Heh, and wouldn't you all be worried about PRNZ-style production quatlities if we did get that.
Skullman FTW.
Gotta agree, he looks badass.

'Poor man's what now, mate? Considering the entire things original, I'd hardly call it 'poor' anything.
The poor mans Corona Aurora WAS the Corona Aurora.
Snoops, as always, is correct.
