UK: SPD comes to the UK...Jetix Magazine's free SPD DVD, new comic, and Fact Files.

Ranger-Retrocenter.com received this email from the editor of Future Kids, the publisher of Jetix magazine in th UK. It contains information about SPD in the UK, and it looks like it's going to be here quite soon. A launch date of October is almost guaranteed.

"The latest generation of Power Rangers gets its UK debut in Jetix Magazine issue 12, on sale Thursday 14th July.

The official magazine of the top kids TV channel, Jetix, begins its Countdown to Power Rangers SPD with the first of three exclusive fact files profiling the new Rangers. The preview will culminate in issue 15 (on sale 6th October) with the launch of the brand new Power Rangers SPD comic strip. The ongoing comic strip is created by the legendary team of Simon Furman and Andrew Wildman, who are best known for their work together on the Transformers comic strips for Marvel UK in the 1980s and also the recent Dreamwave Transformers comic series.
The first story, Mind-Crime, sees the characters of the hit new TV series come up against the first wave of Emperor Grumm’s assault on Planet Earth.

Editor Cavan Scott said: “It’s fantastic to have Simon creating the first comic strip adventures of Power Rangers SPD. If you’re a fan of Space Patrol Delta you’ll love these brand new adventures of all your favourite characters! You won’t want to miss a single issue of Jetix Magazine!”

Issue 15 of Jetix Magazine will also feature the first episode of Power Rangers SPD on its free cover-mounted DVD. Every month the DVD features episodes of top Jetix shows plus games trailers, puzzles, trivia and PC downloads.

To subscribe to Jetix magazine go to www.jetix.co.uk/themag

I meant it as in there's no way possible that someone would send an email that he sent to a larger site and also to my own, I feel so honoured.

Because it's Jetix who give the eps for DVD, expect it to be better looking than Disney's own one.

Jetix is a part of Disney ever wonder why you all have been getting the same exact DVDs that we have been getting since Ninja Storm?

Jetix UK continue to amaze me. After more than a year of Wild Force (with overused NS promos), we've now got some kind of coherent schedule. DT didn't last long, did it?

Jetix UK would amaze me if they scrapped PRG, went back to predictable airings, and scaled down the channel logo by about 80%.

What! Disney only majoritively own it, not that its was part of Disney (unless www.jetixeurope.com is wrong).

I think you're confusing yourself with Jetix USA, where that is 100% owned by Disney.

Anyway, Jetix don't do their DVDs with Disney - they do them with Maximum Entertainment, and other 3rd parties. They certainly don't do the magazine DVDs with Disney.

It's a new PR series every Autumn I guess, however we did get two full seasons on PR within 2004 (NS and DT).

They're rushing it a litte, but who cares? We get top quality digital broadcasts of these eps.

The PR DVDs are from BVHE. I dont recall ever seeing Jetix logos on R2 BVHE DVDs, but I may be wrong.

The old stuff, like Masked Rider, Transformers, Digimon and VR Troopers are from Maximum Entertainment.

Jetix Magazine, and the PRDT Magazine, are both from Future Kids, a part of Future Publishing. These DVDs are from them.

Here's how shares work.
Quote:
Although owning 51% of shares does mean that you own 51% of the company and that you have 51% of the votes, the company is considered a legal person, thus it owns all its assets, (buildings, equipment, materials etc) itself.
Here's who makes the DVDs for the United Kingdom

Yeh, they get the episodes from Jetix though, like Maximum does for their DVDs.

Yeh, you just proved Jetix Europe is its own "legal person" and a seperate company.

Now if Disney owns 75% of the company they pretty much own the company.

But as you said, it's classed as it's own seperate company. You never read it as "Disney's Jetix Europe" in the UK because it's not Disney's; theres still 25% available to the public and any other company who wants it.

These Jetix/PR DVDs are done by Future Publishing - the Disney DVDs are done by Disney.

Two different companies, doing two different PR DVDs. Rangerking, stop right there.
