From my first look over for S.P.D. Toys, I don't see the Base listed, but that could still change. Oh, and the Truck really isn't the same old truck. It looks more like an armored bus, for a lack of better terms. Also, the Sound Patrol figures with SWAT Armor, they give SWAT Armor to Shadow and Omega as well, Booyah!
Well, the truck... er, the bus... doesn't actually look that bad. With some green paint and Goo-gone and time I don't have, I could probably kitbash it into a decent Turtle Van.
And the next time anyone says that Bandai America's vehicles suck, just remember that the unicycle comes from the Sentai.
the truck is better looking than the previous ones. actually looks like a cross between a bus and a tank. and apparently the megazords can use it too. but it's still a waste of plastic that could be better spent on bringing over the Dekabase robo since the trucks just a poor mans version of it.
but the thing that concerns me the most is that there's two sets of battlizers in there. one that's basically the same as what's out there now and one that is such complete and utter crap. looks like bug armor or something. goddamn.
and apparently we're getting the D-Revlolver. same name and everything. kinda suprising. but what's not suprising is that it's basically not even the same toy. you cant even put the morpher in the gun. it's like another damn card system thing.
While I am a bit worried about the Base, I do recall that in Bandai's 2002 Catalog, they did not show the Deluxe Isis Megazord, and last year they did not show the Mezodon Megazord.
So, there may still be chance of the Base being released, it may just still be in the decision stages right now.
Figurewise, I feel this is the best they've ever been...except for one thing
The 12-inch figures. Namely Shadow. Frankly, I like him the best, and think it's DAMNED unfair to have him given shiny cyber pants and a lame SWAT chestpiece (They look good on the others, not him. He's pretty much already IN SWAT mode anyways). I demand a normal 12-incher! Here's hoping this gets nixed faster than the super dino mode figures from last year's catalog. And also, the SWAT mode looks wonderful on Bre...Omega. God, it'll take a while to get used to "Omega Ranger"
yea but Quantum was like another name for time in science terms, Quantum Theory and all that, i hope they give reason why they called him Omega Ranger, what is the thing with omega i mean what does it mean, ?
Well, omega is the last letter of the Greek alphabet. The term "alpha and omega" means "the first and the last". Maybe the Omega Ranger is their last hope?
So now we know we'll be getting some normal Shadow figures. The question is, will they be realeased with the ATVs? They haven't been, until this point.
