Who's Stronger? The S.P.D. Hypothesis
After rewatching "The Beginnings" a few times, I would like to question: Who's Stronger? The A-Squad Power Rangers or the B-Squad Power Rangers. Assuming if Kat and Kruger gave the B-Squad SPD Morphers with the power of precise judgement on their opponents, than the A-Squad either already has them or have obtained them.
Lets start off with the Hypothesis:
Hypothesis A:
The A-Squad Power Rangers, solely due to the fact they are higher in rank, are stronger than the B-Squad Power Rangers. Otherwise, Kruger would have given the B-Squad Power Rangers, the A-Squad suits, and would've given the B-Squad the previous A-Squad suits.
Hypothesis B:
In "The Beginnings Pt.1", Bridge suspects something being wrong with the A-Squad Power Rangers. Possibly, Kruger has already suspected this and he has given the B-Squad Power Rangers stronger powers to battle the A-Squad Power Rangers if ever nescessary.
Hypothesis C:
The B-Squad Power Ranger Suits could actually be the suits that all B-Squad Power Rangers have to wear before becoming A-Squad Power Rangers, which is the moment they get the A-Squad Suits.
In my opinion, all of these concepts are entirely possible, but of course, not simaltaneously.

How about...
Hypothesis D: A-squad is wearing "Mark 1" SPD suits. The B-squad are given brand new morphers with Mark 2 suits, fresh off the production line, a new and better suit (it's lighter and flashier). A-squad still wears the old design because until B-squad is able to pick up some of the slack, the A-squad rangers can't afford to take six weeks off to be trained on the new suit design.

By the costume and weapons design of A-Squad id say they are in constant SWAT mode as a default suit. So id say that A-Squad are alot stronger. ( but if my theory is wrong meh its only speculation )

They're probably equal in power. A-Squad has the higher rank and more experience, so they get access to zords and other cool shit.

Well, B-Squad is stronger. A-Squad are a bunch of cold-hearted fighting-somethings. But, eventually, the B-Squad will learn to tap the burning hearts for justice they've had all along, or some flowery crap like that.
If push comes to shove, the underdog always wins.

I agree with Ivoryranger... that is the most probable hypothesis.
That or something out from the blue...

I agree with this one. The A-Squad suits are very reminicent of SWAT mode -- including the rifles.

Since when have Rangers ever had to get used to their suits? Everything we've seen in SPD and all previous seasons has shown that that Rangers instinctively know how to use their powers, weaponry, and zords upon morphing. Just look at Jack. He jumped straight from a street thief with absolutely no SPD training to a supreme ass kicker.
Right now, we have nothing with which to make an educated guess as to which set of powers is stronger. Everything here is 100% unsupported speculation.

A-Squad is stronger, they have the most speced out suits, they're obviously called to action first (as shown by B-Squad conducting cleanup) and A-Squad gets to use the zords (for now)
Kruger doesn't have to "Know" that somethings wrong with A-Squad to instate B-Squad, all Kruger knows is that some enemy (that he was previously aware of) is on it's way here and that said enemy has destroyed plenty of planets, so it makes since that he would want B-Squad ready for action so that earth can be well protected against this new threat

It's Cruger actually, and I'd say the B-Squad powers are an improvement over the A-Squad, but A-Squad looksl ike it's been upgraded already. Overall, I'd say the powers are about the same, but A-Squad powers were obviously the first to be developed. B-Squad Delta Morphers are probably still experimental.

My theory is this.
A-Squad is using inferior suits, however, they are permenantly in SWAT mode, and as a result, are powerful.
B-Squad's suits are better overall, but lack a SWAT mode.
I'm making a PREDICTION, that at one point in the season, since the A-Squad will be gone into space, they will become brainwashed or whatnot by Emperor Grumm. The A-Squad Rangers will be given the DekaWingRobo (no idea on the english name) by Grumm to battle the B-Squad Rangers of Earth. Footage will be edited to show to DWR fighting the Delta Megazord. The B-Squad rangers force the fight to a ground battle, and manage to overcome the A-Squad. Because of their actions, the A-Squad is demoted and the B-Squad becomes the new A-Squad. They are given the DekaWingRobo, and SWAT mode powerup as a reward for their promotion.
edit: On second though, this would be cool, but way too much for PR.

so the SPD rangers will get a Swat mode?
I generaly thing A-Squad is stronger but I know already that without a doubt by seasons end B-Squad will be the strongest (I highly doubt that B-Squad was just given morphers that are stronger then A-Squad since B-Squad isn't even allowed Zord battles yet, but it obviously makes since Story arc wise for the B-Squad to get upgrades and end the show as the strongest team)

Maybe the suits are designed for different types of combat. A-Squad seemed like hard-ass marine grunts to me. While B-Squad is the lighter, no real advantage in any one stat, so that they can be a well rounded fighter to adapt to any kind of enemy. To me anyway, B-Squad seems like they are supposed to protect Earth while A-Squad storms some compound on a remote planet someplace.

I think that the A-Squad is stronger than the B-Squad and that the A-Squad either will have to do better things than to save the earth (perhaps something more important, but Cruger would let the A-Squad protect the eart, but maybe his own home planet or another is in danger, so he sends the A-Squad. In the end, the A-Squad can't leave the planet because there's an intergalactical field or something) or will get evil or under a spell or something.

Hypothesis E:
Seeing the threat headed towards Earth, more Ranger resources are being used to deal with the larger threat. A-Squad powers are not more powerful than B-Squad powers, yet have more upgrades and are being handled by more experienced rangers. The newer B-Squad powers are much like A-Squad powers yet lacking upgrades such as the swat mode and the B-Squad team is much more inexperienced.
Also I believe the reason why rangers know what to do even if its their first time morphing is that they somehow have a type of computer in their helmets that give them information. A good example is the shot of Eric seeing stuff in his helmet in an episode of Time Force.

I think that A squad powers are designed for offensive purposes, big ass guns etc, whilst B squad are designed for more defensive purposes.
After all most police forces do have a SWAT type section and a crossing guard section...
