Phantom Ranger Fic #4
Originally, there were only going to be three of these, but I couldn't let this idea slip by.
The Phantom Ranger’s search had gone on unfulfilled for years. Years of searching the earth and space and turned up nothing. They could not find who it was they were looking for; it was for a love lost. The person they sought had been perhaps the truest love they’d ever known; but the Phantom Rangers had left them when they found someone else. Things began to go bad with their new lover, and the Phantom Ranger’s thoughts had turned to him…..
They acquired their powers after being taken prisoner by a space pirate. As the pirate and her crew sailed on, the Phantom Ranger noticed a ruby, and overheard the pirate’s lackeys describing it as the crown jewel in her collection. They managed to steal it without anyone noticing, for the pirate’s thoughts were on other things at the moment. The ordeal nearly killed the Phantom Ranger, but they were rescued by the Turbo Rangers and all was well, at least for a while.
Curiosity soon got the better of the Phantom Ranger, and they activated the ruby. Ranger powers were bestowed upon them, powers that gave them invisibility and completely cloaked their identity. In addition, they gained access to a powerful fleet of Zords as well as the carrier Zord Artillatron. But this did not come without a price. They became dependent on the ruby to live, and would die if it was lost. Shocked and confused, the Phantom Ranger could only think of him, and turning to him for comfort after what had happened. So they set off for Angel Grove, only to find he had long since left.
But rather than leave, the Phantom Ranger stayed to help the Turbo Rangers, giving them the Rescue Zords to battle Divatox, the same space pirate who had kidnapped them. Soon afterwards, the Phantom Ranger left for space to search for Zordon after learning of his capture. They had two reasons for wanting to find Zordon: to rescue him, and to see if Zordon knew anything of his whereabouts.
They did not find Zordon, but they did encounter the Space Rangers, and gave them the Delta Megaship. Hoping to find Zordon on Eltare, they went there, only to find the UAE attacking. The Phantom Ranger fought bravely until the UAE was defeated by Zordon’s sacrifice.
With Zordon gone, the Phantom Ranger continued their search alone, searching all through space, and all across the earth, to try to find him. But all their searching had been in vain. Resigned to the fact that she may never find Tommy, Kimberly Hart was determined to keep trying….
