PR Actors voice characters in "Cardcaptor Sakura, the Movie 2"

Don't know if this is old news or what, but I'm gonna go ahead and voice it...

Johnny Yong Bosch (Adam), Wendee Lee (Scorpina & Alpha 6--PRiS/PRLG version), and Julie Maddalena (DECA) lended their voices to Cardcaptor Sakura, the Movie 2: The Sealed Card. I particulalry liked this dubbed version, considering they got rid of the voice actors they used for the series and the first movie along with the horrible Americanized names and replaced them with good voice actors and used the original names.

Johnny Yong Bosch voiced Eriol Hiiragizawa aka Clow Reed's reincarnation; Wendee Lee voiced Sonomi Daidouji, Tomoyo's mother; and Julie Maddalena voiced Meiling Li. I recognized Johnny Yong Bosch's voice right away, but it was a little harder to catch the other two until I saw the credits.

Anywho, I'll shut my trap now...

Honestly, not only should they have KEPT the americanized names, but Sakura's name should also have been altered.

Sakura's friend who has the hots for her is named Madison. I dont give a crap what it is in Japan. & the little bastard whith the wanna be gaurdians is named Eli. It Keroberos, not Cerberus.

Its like with sailor moon. SM is serena, not Yusagi. Lyta not Makoto. Hotaro, not Hotaro.

Although i did sorta enjoy this movie. I liked the beginning part when she is training. O wow, she actully used the cards.

God i hate magical girls. Magic is first in the name. Use it.

Eh... I've personally learned to hate the dubs where they alter the names. *shrugs* I just do, they annoy the crap outta me.

Sakura's name was said in its' Japanese pronounciation, not the American one--which made me happy. ^^

Oh, and actually, Hotaru's name is spelled the same and prounounced the same in both the Japanese and American versions.

Johnny told us about doing this movie back in August at Otakon....along with about 50 million other animes he's involved with. The boy keeps himself busy.

Um..... Wendee Lee is in virtual every LA anime dub. You listen hard enough she is always in some sort of role.

Julie Maddalena also is a regular staple in anime dubs. She is in quite a number of roles, usually as a supporting role.

JYB is starting to appear in a lot of recent anime roles. Trust me, he has much more major roles than Eriol out there at the moment for those who are really into anime.

I wish JYB would do more on screen/TV roles. He could actor and needs to put his other talents to use and not just his voice. Although, he makes a great dub seiyuu. ^-^
