"If they open that dumpster, our cover will be blown,"

In "White Light pt. 2", Trini mentions stopping Bulk and Skull from opening Rita's dumpster for the fear that their cover would be blown. What the hell did that mean? Did she think Rita will tell Bulk and Skull who the rangers were? Rita and Zedd were always aware of the ranger's identities, but it would serve little purpose to reveal them to anyone.

Just seems there would be better reasons to stop Rita from being released.

Opinions?

I think you've got the right idea, I think Bulk and Skull would've told everyone, remember in Zeo, where they're trying to figure out the identities of the Zeo Rangers?

rita knows their identites

in the episode when billy got a B rita said "poor billy got a B", she knew of tommy's identity and i am sure she knew of the other rangers identities. also in the episode when it was zack's birthday finister said zacks name infront of rita so she also knew zack's identity.

but remember Rita DID get out, and she wasn't interested in telling Bulk and Skull anything about the rangers. If Rita or Zedd wanted the public to know who the rangers were, they could have told them themselves, but it served no purpose.

The answer, dear PR fans, is bad writing.

If I were to dwell on it like it was real, I'd say it was because they knew Rita couldn't be grown to fullsize but could still be a menace if she could manipulate people like Bulk and Skull.

Think about it, guys. Rita would presumably still want to destroy the Power Rangers. Look at it this way:

Rita: "Take me to the Power Rangers!"
Bulk or Skull: "We don't know who or where they are."

And then Rita could go on to expose the Rangers' identities and/or possibly point them in the direction of the Command Center.

Or she could make a deal with Bulk and Skull, their help in exchange for the Power Rangers' identities, which Bulk and Skull were desperately sarching for.

You know, I could have swore that this exact same question was asked a few months back.

Rita was as tiny as an action figure. It would make sense for Rita to tell them who the rangers are in exchange for thier service.

That's probably the best answer you can give.

Rita WAS an action figure in that ep. LOL.

But seriously, if ANY villain had explosed the true identities of the Rangers (in any season) they would have been swamped by fans wherever they went, which could have hampered their ability to save the Earth (in some way). So it could have worked in favor of the villains.
