OT: New Medabots

If you have seen the older Medabots, what do you think of the new season? I personally think it sucks so far. The dubbing is horrible and most of the voices are differant (not to mention horrible). I dunno, I really loved Medabots because of the fast talking humor of it all. This new season goes really slow and the voice acting really isnt that great anymore. (Not to mention their lines suck.) I didnt see the first couple episodes but Im confused as to why the hell Medabee cant do the damn Medaforce. I mean what the hell. He can take those POSs easily. The way he gets knocked around looks so forced. Oh well. Maybe it will get better.

They are unaffected because the Medaforce needs to react upon emotions, the new medals lack emotion and has more power.

Medabee's medal isnt differant, is it? I mean, Medabee still has emotions obviously. Why would the fact that other Medabots have differant medals affect Medabee's Medaforce? I didnt know Medabee needed the emotions of his opponents too.

The new are stronger and emotionless, for the Medaforce to do damage there has to be emotions in the medal being attacked. Season 2 episode 1 said so.

Those are Kilobots, not Medabots. Designed to kill and destroy not robattle.

Plus there is an upgrade going around for the Medabots, Advanced. That's why Medabee looks different, in case you were wondering.

Phantom Renegade (along with Arcbeetle) & Rokusho teamed up with Ikki & Medabee to stop the leader of the Rober Robo Gang (RRG from here out) who had a huge Medabot that was attacking the city. The 3 destroyed most of its armor, then that rich girl's uncle/father gave Ikki & Medabee a superhuge Medabee powered by Medabee but that wasn't enough so others teamed up with Medabee and took over various functions of the huge Medabot. Even with all that power it wasn't enough, Medabee forced all the other Medabots out and selfdestructed himself and his superhuge duplicate killing himself and the Medabot attacking the city. An alien being took the cat that seemed to be the Medabot owner of the huge Medabot attacking the city and gave Ikki a present for saving the city....Medabee exactly the same as before. The show ended with a Robattle that was between friends for fun.

Yeah, that's why I was so upset. Because I knew Medabee could take that stupid looking "Kilobot" or whatever it was without the damn advanced armor. Which brought me to my question about the Medaforce thing.

Man kilobot or no kilobot his medaforce should have worked since it ups his atk and comes out as a physical force. I mean does that mean he cant use the medaforce on something other then a medabot. Also Theres nothing wrong with this season. The voice for ikki sounds his age(the voice sounds like an 8 year which is ikki is like 9 or 10) They changed one other voice but wasnt a big deal . And wtf why did they have a medabot that look like rockusho and talk like him and also give him a name like roc or something. And another thing why does the kid cam destroy medabots. Is he retarded or something. If you practically annouce my kilobots will destroy your medabots and they will take the medabots spot. Why the hell would they owners of medabots you destroyed buy kilobots. I mean does he actually think they arent fond of the medabots they own.

The theird Medabots season is not as good as the first two. Actually it kinda sucks. For one thing I would like to say I like the idea of Medabee's mode changes and the Kilobots. Heres what I don't like.

Hardly any mention of the previous two seasons

Ikki's new voice sucks. Why the fuck change it?

When the show starts Medabee shoots and then the title comes up. Thats stupid, why change the medal?

Medabee's comedy isn't fully there. Where is it?

The new Medabot today Roks looked excatly like Rokusho, but noone is saying that he looks like him. Ikki and Erika aren't that dense. C'mon.

In this new season they seem to have dropped some characters and made copies of other ones from the first two seasons.

An example of dropped characters is Mr. Referee and the RubberRobo Gang. The last episode of the 2nd season even had Seaslug vowing to continue it. Mr. Referee has been dropped and it looks like he will never return. The RubberRobos are still possible though. I thought I really wouldn't mind this, and I always thout the RobberRobos and Mr. Referee were a waste, but they were what brought more comedy element to the show and I miss them. Medabee sucks as the narrator.

An example of copying characters is with Zuru/Mysterious Medafighter. He's just like Henry/Phantom Renegade/Space MedaFighterX. Also where is Henry. He lives in Ikki's hometown. Ms. Nai is like Dr. Aki, whom I miss.

I know I shouldn't start bitching about Koji, Karin, and Rintaro just yet. After all its only been 3 episodes. Now Im gonna go chack out spilers and pray that Koji, Henry, Karin, Dr. Aki, Rintaro, Rokusho, and otheres will return wehen I read them. If not I will not watch this season.

I think Power 13 just hit every single one of my points as to why I dont like this new season so far. The new voice totally sucks and the humor feels toned down horribly. Also, I dont like the fact that Mister Referee is nowhere to be found.

Yeah its the third episode. And why would they mention anything from that past 2 seasons when theres no reason for it to be brought up. And mr referee probally isnt around since there hasnt been a sanction robattle and at this point theres no point for anyone to keep records of robattles since no tournement. Also medabee was never funny. But you have to wait till at least the 15th episode. Also they changed the voice since the voice actors have moved down.

They would mention stuff from the past two seasons. In the 2nd season of Digimon. TK tells what has hapened in the 3 years time in the 1st episode. So does Kenny in the first episode of Beyblade V-Force/2002. Also you might be right about Mr. Referee. But why have Metabee narrate? Also I looked at TV Tome's spoilers which sucked and showed no mention of any past characters.

NBD, you said wait till episode 15, are you guessing or do you know, and if u know what site did u find it out from?

If they managed to make this season good without the old characters, I wouldn't be complaining as much. But damn this sucks.

Medabee was hilarious! You had to have actually watched to show to get his jokes. I mean I used to hate Medabots but then I saw the episode where SeaSlug enters the Medabot Corp Building under the guise of Mr.TunaHead. That was such a sad and funny episode. What sold me was when Medabee busted out with "Quick Icky, catch her on the rebound!". He was talking about the obviously emotionally depressed female whose name escapes me.

But yeah, I've watched it all since then and Medabee is the funniest guy ever. You just have to actually try and enjoy it for it to seem funny to you. Medabee is pretty much why I started watching.

He hasn't even said "Dude, I rock" or "Kiss your bot goodbye" this season. Oh wait he usaually said that when he used the Medaforce.

Also Metabee is the funniest with some of his lines like the one with the penguins, "OK penguins, into the sewer, don't drink the yellow water now." and many other lines. Also its not just Metabee that was comedic, but the whole show as well. The episode where Team Japan battles Stockholm Fire in the finals remains one of the funniest episodes in Medabots history. They were gay RubberRobo's disguised as women in the end. I'll never forget that shocked and pissed off look on Ikki, Koji, and Slo-err, Space MedafighterX's faces. Hilarious, absolutly hilarious

Well for medabots there so far was no reason to mention the past 2 seasons(actually season one and 2 in japan was all one season) They said ikki won the tournement. And tvtome has summaries that offical websites give. And no i dont know but i would think at the half way mark the showwould get going. And sure 2 shows give backstories but they were important to the plot. And medabee was never funny.

I know that. In Japan, season 2 is called Medabot Sprits, I think. Im just saying season three, since its the third one here and so as to not confuse anyone, who dosen't know.

But point is there is no need to give a backstory of what has happend because its not important to the plot. Notice that season 3 of digimon had no mention of season 2 and one except that kari joke.
