Saban just filed a trademark for "POWER RIDER". Another attempt at a Kamen Rider adaptation perhaps?

Then he'll get his own spin off called "Power Rider"

Maybe he does plan another shot at Kamen Rider, and "Power Rider" is just a working title. And if he decides to go with it, it will already be licensed and trademarked under his name. He wouldn't have to worry about gaining the rights to the title from whoever else might have used it.

Sticking with "Masked" and tying up Dex and Dregon's battle with Decade would've been interesting...
...but 'Power Rider?' I mean it could be something that's not Kamen Rider related. There was Dino Rider in the 80s. And Eagle Riders/Gatchaman.

My guess is Saban might want to stay away from "Masked Rider" given how much of a colossal failure it was. I'm not sure "Power Rider" would be the best title either being how close it is to Power Rangers. If you think people called it a ripoff before... but then it could be a working title.

They should have kept it as Kamen Rider, it worked with the Dragon Knight show. Power Rider just sounds like a gimmicky toy. Then again, that's what PR is...
EDIT: I also just realized that using Decade would be difficult, seeing as how the footage to Ryuki is owned by another company if I'm not mistaken. Then again I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

At least they aren't calling it 'Common' Rider again... it didn't work for KRDK, that show failed.
I'm not sure what to think of this one. It really comes down to who the producers are.

A colossal failure from an artistic standpoint? Absolutley. From a financial standpoint? I've never seen evidence to substantiate it. From all accounts I've come across, the show was canceled because their star the show and the Black RX footage was almost gone. And it did get two seasons, which rarely happens to catastrophic failures. It obviously wasn't as popular as Power Rangers and Beetleborgs, but it sounds like it was holding things together well enough. That said, if this is another KR adaptation, I don't see it wrapping up the Dex/Dregon storyline simply because that was fifteen years ago and nobody remembers it.
As for the topic, I'm... intrigued. I would love to see KR get another shot (third time's the charm, and all that), if only so Power Rangers isn't such an anomaly anymore. There hasn't been another show like it since Beetleborgs was canceled.
Also, unless it's going to be another spinoff of Power Rangers, I think the name needs to go. Like right fucking now.

Masked Rider had an excellent concept. The higher ups wanted it to be kid friendly and made Ferbus the focus of many episodes. And it all went to hell. Top that off with a piss poor budget, and we have poor execution and Tetsuo Kurata's face in every fight.
Dragon Knight had an excellent concept too. It felt more 'Kamen Rider' than Ryuki. More people kicking evil ass and riding motorcycles and less 'Highlander.' The problem was that the show didn't know what the hell it wanted to be. It was "Find my dad?" in the beginning. It was "I'm Adam and I fight with the Kamen Riders" near the middle. Then it was "Xaviax and everybody else is a Roswell alien" at the end.
And clip shows. Good God, the clip shows.
