Emma Lahana's opinion on JDF
I've read an old interview while searching for her music career's status, and found this:
7. How did you get along with the other Dino Thunder cast members? Did everyone
work well together and were there any conflicts on set? I heard that Jason David Frank
(Dr. O) isn't the best person to work with (or the nicest), is this true?
A lot of the success in a team getting along has to do with the leader, and the leader
setting a good example. When James was in that position, it was a lot more successful. It's
hard to follow a leader who is all about themselves and only worried about getting their
close up and throwing diva tantrums. But for the most part, most of us got along.
So, can we say that JDF was a diva on set?

The Glamatom?
Well, I guess that goes hand in hand with how some of the original actors either really liked him or really despised based on his pranks and sense of humor.

I seem to recall Doug Sloan remembering a moment when he visited the set or something and he heard laughter, I believe, coming from one of the rooms, and when he entered, the whole cast was in there chilling and having fun. Not sure if JDF was among them, but I still remember, at the very least, Jeffrey P. saying he enjoyed working with JDF.

This was during production of PRNS, so he was referring to that cast.

Are you sure? I could have sworn he said it during DT, because I remember picturing the DT cast, JDF included, when he told the story. And I remember wondering if Latham Gaines had been included, as well.
No, I'm pretty sure he said it about the DT cast.

I'm not sure, but I think I remember an old JDF interview saying that he liked hanging out with the North American guys (Parazzo and Duhaney) more than the rest because they had the most in common.

While that makes some sense (Who doesn't want a sense of familiarity when far from home) Making new friends and learning new things can actually be fun.
... ... ...
Did I really just say that?

In perspective, I can understand how she feels, if JDF behaved that way.
Here they are, three struggling actors, two from down under just trying to keep going in the already shitty business that NZ acting is. They're the main characters of their own show, but along comes this additional Ranger actor who is not only way older than them, he's also one of the cornerstones of the entire franchise, brought in specifically for that reason when they could have hired some regular Joe to be Dino Black. He's also not as committed to the show by contract in order to accommodate his personal schedule with his other job, so by nature he's not around as much as the rest of the group.
Even before the attitude, you've got a guy who is an iconic symbol of the series you just joined for a far limited tenure than his was. He's older with a family and a successful business independently of acting, your only business that you're already trying hard enough to get into extensively. He's not around as much as the rest of your group, yet he has to fulfill a portion of the fame his character was noted for when the current story and focus isn't supposed to be on him, but you, the new person.
With that amount of baggage and the distance he kept with the rest of the cast, any slight hint of arrogance from JDF could easily cast a pall on the rest of the group. They're already forced to be in Tommy's shadow by the nature of his character, if JDF was a diva as she claimed, I'd probably get pissed too.

Sure, why not? We hated Blake Foster because we didn't like his character, and Amy Jo Johnson because of some out of context thins she said.

Fair enough I suppose?
But I thought we made peace with both those...

I just opened this thread because I thought all PR actors said JDF was a cool guy, always making laugh everyone, and reading that just surprised me, so wanted to ask your opinions cos I've never meet him.

Your first question was if JDF was a diva on set and to be honest i dont think anybody here has worked with him on set. And to go further into that i think its pretty safe to assume when hes in the middle of a working day shooting scenes and such he is not going to have the same attitude as he does when he meets people at cons or in the street so you cant compair Emma's on-set opinion with fan #372's autograph signing opinion.

I don't think the guy was really asking us what he was like on set, lol. Of course none of us would know.

Yes, Lisa's right. I mean how is he like.
I know my question was "so we can say he was a diva on set?" but I meant his attitude in general.
Maybe people has known him on cons or personally for interviews and stuff, and then they had the chance to see if Emma was right or not.
I don't know if you get me, but the general thread thing was to know if he really is a nice guy or not (on set, street, conventions, on a daily basis...) based on everyone's opinions and personal experiences and "I've been told that..."s...
