Hey all,
In honor of its second anniversary, it's my pleasure to announce the triumphant return of Power Morphicon! The first convention was a journey that many worked hard to make possible and for that I wish to say Thank you for everyone's contributions. For without an incredible team, it would never have been such an unbelievable and rewarding experience, thank you again for being so priceless guys. But as wonderful as it was to organize Power Morphicon, I have transferred ownership of the Company, convention, and official Sanction to Scott Zillner. I feel so energized and confident by Scott's experience in the area of convention organization as well as in the entertainment industry that you all should be assured that the fandom is in capable hands.
The new company is completely under the control of Scott and his corporation, as such I have no affiliation nor responsibilities with the future of the convention or the corporation. As insisted upon by the new management they have bestowed an honorary title upon me, but that in no way gives me any authority or connection to the convention. Scott is well known by many of the cast & crew of Power Rangers and has my utmost faith that Power Morphicon will continue to be a great success for the fandom in years to come. His years of experience in Convention organizing as well as the franchise makes him the perfect choice to run the new company.
All official parties who gave me the sanction for my running of an official Power Ranger Convention have been informed as to the new ownership and now Scott I wish you all the best in the future of the convention. I truly am grateful for the opportunity you all gave me and for your support in everything I did. Once more, I can't thank the team enough for everything they did that weekend, you all were lifesavers and my priceless jewels. Thank you and i love you guys truly forever. Although I must move on, the fandom will only grow stronger. I urge past staffers to contact the new management, they will be awaiting your communication should you wish to be involved again, and also remind them of what you did in 2007. Much love to all!
To make sure there isn't a lot of miscommunication spread across a bunch of different sites and message boards like last time, I wanted to take a moment to emphasize that the ONLY place for you to receive updates as to the status of Power Morphicon or speak to the staff about the convention is at
OFFICIALPOWERMORPHICON.COM. I hope Ray or one of the mods will sticky my post so everyone who asks can be directed to this?
I know everyone is very excited for the big reunion Anime Expo, and if I were still in California I'd absolutely go too, but I hope you all remember to support your local Rangers while you're there! Scott's going to have a table at AX promoting PMC and I know he'd like fans to pop by and show their support. Let him know if you want to be involved in the upcoming Power Morphicon also when you visit him. The success of the convention is only as good as those who help to make it so. The Power is in your hands and may the power protect Scott & the new Management for all time.
Power Morphicon will ALWAYS benefit charity and raise awareness for children's causes, and that's something that has always meant a lot to me and to this franchise. And a big thank you to our PMC 2007 charity, Make-A-Wish of Greater Los Angeles, for all that you do.
I hope I'll see all of you next year!
Cheers,
Ivydraken (Mo)
