Rangerboard: State of the Union

I'm getting tired of all the e-mails, PM, and new threads that keep coming up regarding the "Fate of Rangerboard" once the show goes off the air. I decided to make a sticky about it so everyone stops bugging me.

Did I say in the past that once PR is cancelled I will shut down Rangerboard? Yes. Does that still hold true? Yes it does.

So, with RPM being the last season of Power Rangers, Rangerboard will be inactive as of January 1, 2010. I don't see much point in keeping it around so that it degrades to talk of Sentai and why Jason got his powers back in Forever Red.

That is all.

Oh! Yes, I'd like to know the thing about the money, too. Not that I'm hurting in the money department, but if I'm not gonna be a VIP anymore...

It's not like the $10 is a deposit. Why does everyone always think they're getting it back?

I seem to recall on prior occasions (okay, maybe one, but still) where he has offered to give it back.

That said, what's the series finale of Rangerboard going to be? George's true identity revealed? Edmund finally returning to make good on his threat?

Assuming this isn't this year's April Fool's joke, then I understand completely. It's Ray's prerogative to keep the board or shut it down as he pleases. I just hope I can find a place to hang out with all the friends I made here.

It'd be one odd April Fools Joke if we didn't find out it's actual status as a joke or not until January.

And I seem to recall April Fools Jokes typically being frowned upon on RB, mostly because it typically turns into a bunch of nobodies posting "I hate Power Rangers! APRIL FOOLS!" or making up crap about "Power Rangers is ENDING!!! APRIL FOOLS!"

I can certainly understand why Ray might close it. I mean, PR will no longer be running, so what's the point? It would be money out of his pocket that could be avoided. Mind you, there are many online communities of cancelled shows.

Has anyone considered considered buying the domain off him and hosting it on another server to keep this place alive?

My question is though, if for some reason PR does not end, will you still keep it around. I am getting my hopes up, yes, but I want to know.

As for everyone else, where might you all go to after RB?

That's my only concern. We got some news that PR might not be ending, so I wouldn't scream doom and gloom just yet. If it comes to that, I shall see you all on Facebook.

I bum around HJU sometimes, but the thought of going there full time makes me shudder. A lot of the posters down there ain't right.
