ok, i'm a noob when it comes to series like this, since i've been mostly following sentai and power rangers, but, i'm taking it that this series, rescue force and rescue force fire (i'm not sure if i translated that right) is a toku series aimed at boys and girl 4-8, just like mighty morphin power rangers were originally aimed toward, but with more kid actors, and themed around how to be safe, in a thirty minute "commercial", just like all kids shows? sorry if i offend you with the commercial crack, but pr and sentai, and even kamen rider are the same way.

Pretty much. Although "themed around how to be safe" doesn't appear much, especially lately when you have a ice beam, drill attacking, flying mech taking part in dogfights.

The civilian uniforms look very similar to the uniforms in Dekaranger but uglier!
And i hope that they don't have to chakusou in a pod like Rescue Force.

Man those suits are horrible. They look like a bad mix between Inspector Gadget and Steve Urkel. The human uniforms themselves look uninspired, they look very similar to Dekaranger. But on positive note, I do admire the ultra-detailed mechs.

The suits are terrible. I think that's kind of a joke. That was Rescue Force's M.O. They're realistic. If you're trying to save people you don't give a shit about how stylish you look. All that matters is getting the job done. I know if I'm in a burning building I'm going to see that giant ball of orange suckitude.

I love that Rescue Fire is going to be an indirect sequel to Rescue Force. Like Tober said, the suits never drew me in. I came for the awesome stories and characters. Ryukendo is still the best toku series ever in my book. Rescue Force was damned awesome too. Knowing that we're getting more makes me happy as hell. It's nice having a third yearly toku now since PR has been so bad.

I think Sentai has the multi-coloured heroes fighting the supernatural in special vehicles covered. I wouldn't mind seeing a Space 1999/UFO theme though.

I mean the whole concept of we disturb some ancient alien force, it decides humanities a threat to the rest of the universe so it decides to conquer the Earth, and destroy humanity by killing people, and turning them into aliens, they turn one guy into an alien but he later regains his human soul, and fights the aliens.

Maybe they could do it like a poor man's Kamen Rider Kabuto mixed with Tekkaman Blade.

Like in the future we start colonizing this other planet but then we accidentally wake up its previous inhabitants who are a race of giant super intelligent bugs, and after seeing what we are doing not only to their world but to our own they decide to get rid of us.

But instead of just duplicating people like Mysterons or Worms they can actually take people's dead bodies, and cocoon to turn them into giant bugs, and they also have these genetically engineered bio-mechanical servant bugs similar to Spider Crabs from Tekkaman Blade that can eat the wreckage of something like a plane, tank, or a battleship, and actually biologically turn into one.

And the hero would obviously be like Captain Scarlet mixed with Kamen Rider Kabuto, but he'd be called Aka Kabuto Kamen, And the show's version of Spectrum would do experiments with his DNA, and the DNA of other people who got turned into bugs to turn some of the other heroes into insect themed super heroes like the Captain Blue character would be a poor man's Gattack, the Lieutenant Green one would be Kick Hopper, etc.

And one of his powers would be like he can go "reveal your true self", and use some magic psychic laser vision to reveal people, and vehicles as giant bugs, and the people who turn into bugs become insect themed kaijin, but the vehicles that do turn into some weird mutant hybrid like they'll be a horned beetle monster disguised as a tank, and when revealed would tun into a giant horned beetle with tank turrets on it's back.

Actually, he's seen a fair amount. And while it's probably not *my* favorite, it's up there near the top of the list. No, it has no real overarcing plot. No, it has no real deep complex philosophy. No, it's not a masterful work of art. But it has something a lot of stories don't.

It enjoys itself. It doesn't worry about outdoing anyone else, or being the most self-important work, or telling you this is it's message. It's not even trying to make you laugh, or impress you in any way. It's doing what *it* wants. It's playing in a sandbox in an almost ingenious way, and it does it to enjoy itself. It's a beautiful hodgepodge of...ideas, concepts, and "I want to try THIS next". It's so delightfully childlike.

I hear ya my favorite thing about Ryukendo was that it took ideas from some of my favorite toku shows like Sentai, Metal Hero, and even Kamen Rider with some of it's own, and it was also funny.

I also liked the whole concept that they're members of some super secret branch of the police that even the regular police don't know about that deals with supernatural related crimes, and they transform into modern day magic knights to fight demons.

I think that's part of why I liked Rescue Force because it seemed to take Ryukendo, and replace them being cops with being rescue workers, monsters with natural disasters, and everything that was magic in Ryukendo with technology.

Go easy on them, Mike. Keep in mind Rescue Force had a female red, but it didn't really matter because red wasn't the leader of the team.

Sentai dynamics are just plain different from other Tokusatsu.

I'm thinking the Megaphones will be their version of the Rescue Commander. I mean in the image of all 3 in their uniforms saluting next to their captain/chief, you see them on the belts. And in the group shot with all 3, the chief, the apron girl, and the 3 suits, you can see them holding the Megaphones.

I don't recall the Rescue Hammer being used when they weren't suited up, so that's why I think Rescue Fire will use the megaphones. Because so far it seems like the best choice for their transformation device. And maybe they'll get suits that don't require the pods to equip.

I could see one of them in the field, something happens and then that member grabs their megaphone, pulls out their card, slashes it, slides it in,or whatever, and shouts "Chaksou!" into the megaphone, and then some energy exits the megaphone and folds back around them as the suit forms.
