Mid-Atlantic RB Gathering, anyone?
Yeah, this may be jumping the gun, but I thought I'd throw this out there for my little corner of the country, since half of RB already has started a thread for theirs.
Though this, I'd like to plan for *far* into the future. Specifically, August.
When? August 7, 2 p.m.
Where? In front of Meyerhoff Fountain, at the corner of Pratt and Light. You can't miss it. It's connected by skywalk from the Convention Center, Sheraton, Hyatt, and Light Street Pavilion. Look for, uh, lots of water.

That place.
From there we'll head to Edo Sushi or Philips Seafood Buffet for food, then mess around at ESPN Zone or the science center or wherever else we settle on.
Confirmed:

If it is by otakon, then I could do this. Seeing as otakon is on my list of conventions this year.

That's why I'm making it the day before Otakon, since people are already in town. And of course, those there will be on Rangercast, I will make it so.

Otakon in Baltimore and SMdcon in Waldorf? I never could go to those. But Waldorf is much closer to me then the Charmed City.

I wish I could go, but its way too expensive and annoying to get to for me.
<insert plug here>
Now, if you were going to a convention like Nekocon then I would be all for it.

I kind of liked it the first year I went. But I found that its hell if you ever get sick and didn't drive yourself. Spent most of my con money taking a taxi to a point close enough that a relative would come to pick me up so I could go home.

I live in Williamsburg, VA. I could've, theoretically, caught an Amtrak home. But who knows how long I would've had to wait and it would've been a pretty long trip, time wise.

I know a cheap way to get to Baltimore cheap. Amtrak to Union Station, then MARC Camden Line to Camden Yards ($7). The way back, it's Amtrak all the way for $40 (unless MTA's promised weekend MARC service kicks in), and yeah, it takes a while, but it'll be so much fun.

Maryland is technically the "South", you know. Lol
But I understand. North Carolina is "Mid-Atlantic" as well...but everyone in the country, says Mason Dixon line. Maryland and below...

Maryland is the north. Northern VA is the north. Southern VA (like, from about Petersburg south) is where it starts becoming the south. Trust me, I know.
I'd be in for a gathering, even if just for that day, since I probably won't be attending Otakon, but Baltimore is close enough that I can actually drive. I'm sure we've talked about that before, Ty. So yay.

Otakon's like a rite of passage, so you might want to.

Whatever, north, south, nobody knows. So that's why we say Mid-Atlantic.
