I'm gonna say they're fake/custom simply because the crane is normal color. Also (as far as I know) most special editions aren't packaged in the original box.

I'mngoijg with definite customs. I just checked my 35th anniversary toy history, and the only special Kakuranger thing I see is a silver Ninjaman.
