GAMES The Ultimate Power Rangers video game idea

The Power Rangers have become a popular franchise. People watch them, children idolize them and people even dress like them. They're the ultimate superheroes but I think it's time that they released a Power Ranger for the PlayStation 3. Think about it: Better graphics, realistic explosions, life-like characters and humorous situations like on the show. This time, the player can create his own Power Ranger, either out of the previous Ranger costumes or with new visors, helmet designs, suit patterns, etc. The new Ranger will be trained by veteran Rangers and will fight the resurrected enemies of their predecessors and will also be trained in their fighting styles (also costumizable), weapons (which can be upgraded), vehicles (which can also be upgraded and automatically fitted to the Ranger's suit design). Think Saints Row combined with DC Universe Online. Even when you're playing online, you can join groups, converse with other players, and engage in mission with those in your group and combine your imported zords and combine them together for the ultimate Megazord.

I've been thinking about this for a while and it would be the coolest thing to buy. Heck, I might empty my wallet for one copy.

Power Rangers as a fighter would be pretty cool. It'd be a great 20th anniversary release to put all the Rangers against each other and the many villains and monsters.

DLC with the newest series after PR20 makes sense too.

Power Rangers isn't in the same vacintiy as it use to be to warrent such a big game.

I used to think of a version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance would work. But now DC Universe Online version like you just said sounds even cooler. But unlike DCU which doesn't have a winning end, I'd want to have the MMOPR game to have a winning ending. Either which side of the Morphin Grid you are, Power Ranger or evil faction, depending on your actions throughout the game.

I just want zord fights again. The old games had decent 2D ones, but the Samurai game was pathetic when it came to zord fights. So much potential there.

Yes they need a new fighting edition game consisting of only megazords.

They should do a Kingdom Hearts style game where the main character teams up with Bulk & Skull and has to visit each generation of Power Rangers and team up with them to stop the growing force of darkness that's threatening earth. It'll visit every Generation, from MMPR - SPD - RPM.

I would be fine if it only visited the earlier seasons. Either way it probably won't happen but it is a great idea.

Maybe something like the Dino Thunder game. Only vastly improved and a story covering multiple seasons.

I'm still trying to figure out how Blue Senturion was still in good enough shape to film that.

As for the thread topic, I'd love to see a big PR fighting game with Rangers and villains alike, or maybe a Marvel: Ultimate Alliance-style RPG. Heck, I even once had the idea for a PR racing game in the vein of Motor Kombat. But, sadly, it'll probably never come to pass.

I've learned that, like with Dino Thunder before it, the arguments differ depending on the console version you're referring to.
