people should just stop complaining about mmpr 2010 i mean it is what it is, there are some things i like about this line and some i don't, but im not going to complain about it because nothing will change, it shouldn't matter about accurately because these toys are meant to played with as long as they dont break easy i could care less,
it's because everyone is so obsessed with collecting and looking the stuff they want everything to be perfect and that is not going to happen, in my opinion it's waste of time and money, bandai makes these toys so kids can have fun with them and adults should too, if you dont find them fun then dont buy them and buy the 93 mmpr stuff off of ebay that is good and fun for you. collecting isn't everything, having fun with them is something.

QFT, this guy's got it right. There a couple things in this line I'm not really crazy about. At least we have a new MMPR line.
As much as I hate the complainers, the complaining isn't the problem.
People just need to learn how to complain about things in a rational manner that is willing to see things from multiple points of view instead of just, "BLARGH!! BOA MUSTT CAITER TO COLECTERS ONLEE!"
This line has plenty of things that should be bashed but it also deserves props for many reasons.
They are also pretty similar in size to the 2005/2006 Microman Material Force figures which is what I'll use to customize them into better figure. The Microman figures are actually closer in size to the 5 pack figures, which is pretty cool.
Sorry about the frankensteined body but it's all I had left over until my next set of figures comes from Japan.
Here is what a set of Microman material force figures looks like:
AWESOME SNIP
As far as the new line goes, the possibility to customize these figures into better ones has been the draw for me. I also like the weapons that came with the 5 pack much better.
So my question is, are you thinking about selling these if we supply the Rangers?
Good thing you didn't get an auto morphin Green Ranger. That damn shield would NOT stay on.
I wound up intentionally snapping the little pegs off the shield and gluing it to the moving panels, so it could still headflip, but the shield would no longer come off.

I agree with you that a lot of the complainers are OTT, but what gripes me the most is the fact that we've gone 67 pages and they are complaining about the same things, and they're only complaining. If one thing is wrong about the line, the line is condemned as child of Satan and shunned forever. God, if there's one bit of the line you don't like, you don't HAVE to buy it. Like many people have stated, BOA is a small company that needs to focus on kids to stay afloat. It isn't like Hasbro who has millions of components and can afford to cater for die-hard collectors. They have a few components and therefore don't have as big of a turnout, so focusing on collectors, which like people have said would push the price up on many figures, turning mums/dads off getting them for their kids, would be catastrophic.
I must say, though, I was shocked last night when I finally decided to see what the size of the figures will be when I get them (we don't use inches in Australia, centimetres is the go). I saw that they would only be just over 10cm and gasped. I know people were complaining about the size but yikes, that's small. I'll still get them though, they look to awesome to deny. I'm planning on also getting the Megazord and, if my wallet allows, the Blade Blaster and Dragon Dagger. Since these are going to be for display purposes only, I overall couldn't give an eff how big they are, it's not like I plan to play with them with my giant hands
Has anyone had any sightings of the new MMPR stuff in Land O' Lakes, FL? I live in Orlando near UCF, but I'm house sitting out here for the weekend. I have no clue where I am, except there's a road called Bruce Down and a Target on it not too far away. I passed it on the way here and would figure I might check it out or the Walmart that's by it, too.
I live right next door to Land O Lakes and I havent seen any in this area.
My mom picked up the 5-pack at 'an obscure WalMart' in San Antonio, TX. I'm not sure exactly what WalMart that was, but I can now be sure that some of the MMPR figs are in SA.
For all his vile, REDRANGERJASON has a very valid point here. In the Bandai-defenders minds, there seems to be only two options -- show-accurate ultra-expensive stuff by NECA or whatever, or the Dragon-Dagger-light-sabre/Dragon-Dagger-pocket-knife type stuff.
And there is no reason why you can't have a middle ground. No reason.

This. There are plenty of toylines out at the moment aimed for the little kiddies that *aren't* rubbish. Of companies still aiming their toys at the younger market, but actually doing a decent job.
Which is why, "How dare you complain you ungrateful monster?" people don't have a leg to stand on. Bandai could still be doing better, even with the target audience and budget considerations. But they're not.
And who's fault is that? Well that'd be Bandai's fault.

Fact is, most of the complaints are perfectly grounded, with many of the faults being simply lazy or ignorant omissions on Bandai's part and that's not acceptable. Not only that, but people have a right to be upset with it.
THIS.
OMG, this.

Yes, because kids are stupid.
I think you'll find that, actually, they're not as dumb as you think. But don't tell anyone. That's a secret.

Oh that thing shitted me.
Good thing I was a little kid at the time, and didn't care about that.

And as loathsome as the Bandai-apologists are, they aren't the problem either.
To the people complaining about the roleplay weapons' size, when was the last time you actually played one? I mean really played with it. It's probably been a while.
And regarding the Dragon Dagger Sword thing and REDRANGERJASON's extreme displeasure towards it's lack of show accuracy and music, dude when was the last time you played the music on the original Dragon Dagger? It never sounded 100% show accurate. The main tune on the original sounded like it was coming through a drive-through speaker: garbled and about 40% clear. *This is not meant as a personal attack, nor is it meant to start another argument, I just think that the people complaining about 100% of this new line need to take a long look at the original line, it was no better nor worse.*
That said, the more I see this line, the more parts of it are growing on me. The things I don't like will simply be ignored. At the end of the day, we're discussing toys that are meant to be played with, not trophies to be displayed.

Ah damn. Well thanks for giving me a heads up. If I happen to miraculously stumble upon any since I might head out for a few groceries anyways, I'll be sure to post the when and where.
Im off the next few days, gonna try and go to highland to see if they got in anything MMPR related. Still debating if I should get another set of the reg figures to keep MIP, heck I may give them to my nephew when he gets old enough.
I personally love the new dragon dagger/blade blaster despite the *smaller size* of them. I wasnt into roleplay weapons/morphers back in the day when PR first started so I never got them. In fact the interest in that stuff didnt come about til I got the morphers for WF and then the major weapons for PRNS. Been collecting the weapons/morphers *I like* since then. The ONLY thing I hated about the dragon dagger back in 1994 were the sounds it made of which the only redeeming one was the battle call sound. The summoning sound was awful like nails on a chalkboard awful. It just seemed to me that the summoning sound was recorded onto the sound chip at too high of a level. And when you heard the show summoning it sounded better than the toy versions did. Now how do I know this IF i never owned the dragon dagger well see I saw it at my local grocery store and talked the photo dept person into letting me try it out to see if I'd like it. They had the toys in the photo dept due to how popular they were and they wouldnt put them out on the shelves for that reason of ppl stealing them and such.

When I'm being a "Bandai-Defender", I realise that these figures aren't the best. This toyline has a helluva lot of flaws, but it also has a helluva lot of good things about it to. The problem is is that a lot of people are only seeing one side of it.
I do believe though that some of the demands of the collectors (not saying everyone) are unreasonable. They seem to have expected that every single one of their little fantasies will happen. When they didn't, the shit hit the fan and covered everyone in mess. What the narrow-minded collectors don't realise is that the Power Rangers toyine as a whole is failing. To keep it afloat, they must appeal to the majority of their consumers: kids. To do that, they have added things to the line that their research says sells well with said majority, like any other business of their kind. Obviously we would not be getting things like the deluxe Dragon Dagger if they didn't think it would sell well.
Again, Power Rangers is a failing toyline, so any kind of cost-cutting measure would need to be taken to still get a good enough profit to keep it going. So, we get the smaller weapons and more gimmicky stuff, which suggests the gimmicky stuff sells well. Think of it as the toyline's version of having the amount of episodes in a PR season cut: Cost-cutting measure, keeps it afloat so it can continue, but causes a shitstorm with everyone who doesn't realise that.
