Like seriously. Clark may have just rocketed past The Greatest Reporter in the World and the Pink/Glowing Green Ranger who Can Do No Wrong as the most hateful character on this show with a single action.
So you hated Lois and now hate Clark on the show. Why are you watching this show again?

I'm actually not. I caught the scene in question, but it's not a show I watch. I don't even know why I'm humoring you, since no one forced you to reply, but whatever.

Do you guys actually consider it okay for Superman to choke out a flatscan human until he gets what he wants? I'm not the only one by far who thinks something's wrong with Clark ("How did you survive, Clark?" "Uh...I dunno."), and other reviewers have pointed out the fact that Clark choking someone is not a Superman thing. Add that to the clone reveal, the fact that Clark's apparently worn black all season (anyone remember Bizarro? Kal-El? I do), Jor-El's ability to beam powers into his head, and his increased overall aggression and rashness, and something doesn't seem right.

I'm not saying it's definitely the case that Clark should be the Eradicator, since this is CW's Smallville, and they've never really cared about portraying a character faithfully, but it seems a bit much here. It's more than just having a character sleep with her boss, because The Greatest Reporter in the World isn't the main character regardless of what s9 seems to want to tell us, but every time Clark's done anything close to this, we've been anviliciously told that this is Very Bad Behavior (anyone remember S6? I do, even if the execs don't).

Screw that. He's dispatched Brainiac. He's dispatched Bizarro. He fought Doomsday. He took out the original Zod. Lex Luthor knows his secret and is believed dead. He's working at the Daily Planet and on the brink of a relationship with The Greatest Reporter in the World. If he hasn't solidified his moral stance by now, then there's something wrong.

I mean, I went to the Superman Homepage reviews for this episode. The two reviewers on that site rarely if ever agree. I read through the one guy's review, and he thought it was wrong. Then I read the other guy's review and he said it made him angry. I repeat, this woman suffered physical abuse as a child, and Clark knows this. Clark knows her father broke her arm. He knows she knows what he's capable of. How on earth is this acceptable behavior?

actually i read golden age superman was pretty rough to criminals/wife beaters/etc..... folks back in that day of comics. As for smallville it picks and choices things from various eras of the comics, the movies, and other cartoon/live action verisons. Then they add their own spin on things.

& she has gone from a victim to an abuser herself. So what. Lex also had some bad shit happen to him as a kid.

You have two choices. Become a hero, or a villian. Tess is just Lex in a dress. Just as evil. Just as wrong. Just as deserving of what they get.
