I have spokne to Cheryl Saban, who while is not involved in the production anymore, has heard that the series is coming to a close. She says it's had a good run, and it's too bad that it has to end. But, on the positive side, she's right. It did have a good run.... 600 episodes, now that's pretty good, and I'm impressed.... who knows though..... stuff happens... so... don't take this word as final.

Cheryl is a wonderful lady. She has become a strong influence in my life.... And I take her word as gold. But again, who knows what the future has in store. A Disney Executive has told me that this is only semitrue, and it's unconfirmed, but RPM will be the last LIVE ACTION Power Rangers series from Disney.

Cheryl's husband Haim has been a huge influence in my life. I used to help him with his falafel stands. And yes, it IS only semitrue. It will be the last live action series for now, but within the next two years, me and my good friend Jay Francis will create a POWER RANGERS reality series, where we will recruit fans to create a series bible for a new POWER RANGERS series.

Think of the dying children.

Wow that's naive. Even Chris Funaro has posted and appears to confirm what I'm saying

If true, I find it grimly amusing that after all the fuss that Bruce was killing the show, he didn't - it was an overly-ambitious guy who didn't hack sentai and had watched the old episodes that killed it.

If an Animated PR was good, I would want it to be animated.

Cos of the "good" factor.

you REALLY don't know who Aftershock is...do you?

Look at his youtube account and watch Forever Red uncut.

How would he be the only person to have uploaded it if he didn't have connections?

You dudes need a sense of humour. I wasn't being serious. I believe RPM will be the last Live Action series, I really do... especially with the Shinkenger being so Japan-centric.

Eh, I guess it's hard to pick up a sense of humour over the internet.

Yet... Martial Arts and a Dojo weren't japan-centric when referring to Gekiranger?

All that proves is that he got lucky and paid attention to eBay at the right time.

When MMPR Prod liquidated and got rid of everything, it was insanely easy to get hands on old production tapes. Many of them were sold in lots on eBay at the time. I've got 80 of 'em in my own basement. The difference is, some of us aren't desperate for attention and glory.

For the record, his "uncut" version of FR is still missing cut scenes.

Eh, I'd rather the series to end with someone who really cares about the show than to continue on with someone who is apathetic to the endeavor. If this is really the last season, and Eddie and Chip really do a good job, then it'll be worth it.

Honestly? Yeah, I'm not gonna believe this until it happens, since we hear the same thing every year -- but that's the thing. Eventually, "this is the last year of the show" is going to be true.

Disney have cut so much out of the show to minimise costs while maximising profits, that to cut out anything more would wipe the show out entirely. It's gonna happen eventually, and I won't be surprised when it *does* happen.

It'll still suck, though. But hey, maybe with RPM we'll go out with a bang (would anyone want OO or JF to have been the very last thing to come out of the franchise? Anyone? Didn't think so).

I agree with that, but if it is true this year then it'll be ok. Seventeen years is an amazing amount of time for a television series, and if it does end on RPM then at least it seems like the franchise will go out on a high.

Having said that, I really hope PR doesn't go animated. If it's got to die, at least let it die with dignity.

I couldn't agree with this more. It's had a great run. If this is the last season let it go. I hope it doesn't go animated.

And honestly, the way we've all been complaining about the last several seasons...this isn't the show it once was. I don't think the possibility of this being the last season comes as news to anyone. A lot of us gathered this by Disney choosing to only air it on ABC and not XD. This has been a long time coming. I guess all we do now is wait and see what happens.

Well i don't post here so often but about the possible final,i'm okay if happens. For me it's sad,but if the show ended i'll accept.

And as you said,it was a good run.17 years isn't so bad.

But i think it's possible to PR continue after RPM.At least PR survive to the years post Is, post Saban, and post Overdrive and Junfle Fury. For me the franchise is strong enough to continue but if the final is really true i won't complain.

By the way,i want to know what Toei will do if PR ended. Is it possible they sell the new sentais to another company?I know that Disney owns the name PR,but the sentais owns to Toei,so....
