Ninjakon=Ninjor???
 

I was just at my local Target when I went to the toy section. I noticed a zord named Ninjakon, which was just the old toy of Ninjor, but was painted red, had a different head, and the circle in the middle had a different symbol. It also came with a power sphere or 2. Does anyone else know about this zord and why it's the same as Ninjor?

Geesh, there r LOTS of posts in this particular forum about this Ninjakon. Yes, Ninjakon is just a repaint of Ninjor to make more $$$. Their plan is probably to just bring back a Ninja-oriented character and to also sell the 2 Power Spheres.

That is so stupid... looks like they're running out of ideas...

Can the Deluxe Ninjakon toy also transform in two different modes, just like the original Ninjor??

Ninjakon must be one of those blasted ancient evil twinbrothers of Ninjor... :p ;)

I highly doubt (and hope) that they are going to bring Ninjakon into the show. Like Lord of Fire said, it was only an excuse to make more money and sell the two Power Spheres.

Well selling the power spheres is easy.. just sell them 1 or 2 to a package, and make more money that way, simple as that..

Yes, this was a rather lame cash-in attempt although if you stick Ninjakon next to NIjor they aren't 100% alike, and that goes for more than just the paint, Ninjor has decals, Ninjakon doesn't and tere are other minor diferances likethe "Transform" button, granted it is a nice toy, but I really would NOT call it a PRNS toy, instead I'd have a "Seperate Line" for Repaints/Reboxes et al. something like the "PR Heroes" line but since this stuff was slightly modfied I'd give it a namelike "PR Legends" since they never appeard on the show, kidna like a Myth, or a legend.

But yea this was a shamelss cash in attempt and since I don't have NInjor -- my brother does, I was glad to have NInjakon, but you'd think that people would realize most of these Cash-In attempts NEVER succeed, plain and simple, but on occason you get one that works well. (A good example was the Star TRek 1701-B reboxed as the USS Excelsior which, despite looking NOTHING like the ship it was supposed to be, sold rather well since people wanted Mr. Sulu's ship, go figure) but Ninjakon's adn other Repaints are risk if you're releasing them in a "main" line and not, say the PR HEroes line in which case it should have just been Ninjor again. You'd be srpised how many "Variants" companies churn out a year, I should pull ut my StarTrek TNG Collection, I have more "Captain Picard's" than I have anyting else and these "Variants for the sake of a variant" sell only to one group: completeists who have to have an enitre collection, normally I'd skip Ninjakon but I needed the two Power SPheres and I can't afford the Japanese stuff so this was my only choice. (Ok I cna afford the Japanese stuff, but I'm getting TimeRanger now, afer that I may go up to the beter quality toys, but for now NInjakon will have to do.)

if they wanted to make some real money, they should have sold the power balls individually and unmarked sorta like the takara transformers figures, that way you'd have to keep buyin, or buy a whole set.
