Author's Note: This is a collection of stories (if you can even call them stories) that exist outside of canon. Basically, it's just a fun excercise of incredibly unlikely events for characters we as fans know, love, and in some instances, maybe even hate. It is, first and foremost, an action/adventure fic, involving characters/settings from all over the fandom, and isn't neccesarily meant to be taken 100% seriosly. So, baring all of that in mind, I hope you'll read, and enjoy.

THE FIRST COLLISON
IT'S JUST THE WIND

A chilling breeze swept through Vida's pink hair as she stepped through the glass doors of the upper deck of the club, onto the roof of the building. The pulse-pounding vibrations of dance music could still be felt from way out there, as she retreated into the quiet night.

As she stepped over to the edge of the roof, she was greeted by a stirring black sky and an army of enchanting lights from the city that sat below her. Her black dress flowed in the breeze.

But suddenly, her eyes narrowed as she began to feel the wind shift. Just in time, Vida threw herself to the side, where she fell to the floor. An instant later, a powerful explosion of air rushed by where she had just been standing and blew itself right through the wall of the roof!

Vida jumped back to her feet and snapped into a defensive stance when she realized who it was that had just tried to attack her. She could not believe it. Somehow, after what she had done to him and his school, he had managed to survive. He stood there with an open palm, dressed in a party suit.

"Hello, Vida," Shane said. "It's nice to see you again."

Shane quickly grabbed the shoulder of his suit and threw it away, revealing a black and red ninja suit underneath, prepared to do battle with the woman that had laid waste to his school- the school he had just completed building as his own.

"Yeah?" Vida replied. "Wish I could say the same, but you're still as ugly as last time."

A dazzling sparkle of pink light transformed Vida's elegent dress into the suit of the Pink Sorceress.

"I told you I'd kill you for what you did," Shane said, barely able to contain his anger. With every furious word that escaped his lips, the air around them seemed to grow more intense.

"All I did was pay you back," Vida shouted over the wind. It kicked up even greater as she continued. "Your men killed innocent forest-creatures... Nobody comes into my house uninvited unless they're prepared to get their ass kicked."

"Then let's end this."

"Fine!"

Vida wasted no time, crossing her arms and twirling her body until an incredible whirlwind of pink air surrounded her. The tornado rushed toward the Red Ninja with terrible speed, ripping chunks out of the ceiling floor as it flew.

Shane was barely able to leap out of the way in time, but before Vida realized he was no longer in the tornado's path, it was already too late. The tornado slammed into the glass entrance to the club and an explosion of wind, glass, and metal flew wildly through the club and into the night.

The sound of screaming men and women filled the air as they scattered from the club in a panic. Smoke flowed from Vida's boots as she struggled to stop herself from spinning. But her inability to control her attack made her vulnerable, and she was unprepared for the rush of air that blasted from Shane's hands, knocking her off of her feet and through the air.

Wind ripped through Vida's hair as she felt her body being thrown clear across the dance floor and finally slam into the DJ's console. She dropped to the ground with a painful cry as a hail of vinyl records and multi-colored lights fell around her. Her collison into the console caused the music to bump up to the sound of a ninja dance mix.

A pair of pigeons flowed almost magically through the destroyed opening of the club on either side of Shane as he marched slowly into the room, red lights flashing across his determined eyes. He was not going to back down for any reason. She might have intended only to send a message to his students for what they did in Briarwood forest, but the faces of the two boys that Vida had accidentally killed flashed through his mind, and pushed him to continue.

Vida tried to pull herself up to her feet, but Shane concentrated a burst of wind through his fingers and sliced them at her left leg, knocking her back down. Vida pulled forth her wand, but just as she pointed it toward her attacker, Shane kicked it out of her hand and sent it flying away on a current of air.

The morpher fell right off the roof of the building and ended up landing on the head of a stone gargoyle sitting at the edge, halfway down the side of the skyscraper.

"What you did," Shane spoke. The wind kicked up again. The clouds above began to stir. "I can't forgive... I can't forgive..."

"Don't you think I know that?" Vida let out. Her voice was almost in a whisper at first. It startled Shane. "If you think for a minute that I didn't cry- that I didn't feel- for what happened that day... then you're an even bigger fool than I know you are."

"Careful, witch."

"Oh, shove it! I haven't let myself forget that day for so much as five minutes since it happened. They hurt me, so I hurt them back, twice as hard. You really wanna kill me, Shane?... Then do it.... DO IT!!!"

Shane was stunned by her words. Could she really mean that? Was it really what he was going to do? It wasn't as though he could just go to the police. There was a different kind of justice for people such as them. No system on Earth was equipped to deal with them. Shane lowered his hand...

... Shane raised it again. A lethal force began to stir in his palm- a gust powerful enough to extinguish any human life. Vida sat there, looking at him, unafraid. Shane curled the power into a fist and pulled back to throw it down.

But just before he could release the attack, he shouted out as he felt the heel of Vida's boots stab into his shin! Shane could not believe it. Vida had made him drop his guard by making him think she was accepting her fate!

Shane's body fell to the ground in a terrible spin, but he still had the power collected in his fist. When Vida jumped to her feet and began running back outside, he hurled it from his spot on the floor.

Vida jumped onto a current of air, just barely dodging the explosion of debris that erupted on the ceiling floor as she made a shocking leap off of the building! Shane spun up to his feet, wide-eyed at the sight of the Pink Sorceress diving off the edge, but knew by now not to assume it was over yet. He quickly ran outside to keep his eyes on her.

Shane peered over the edge of the roof, astonished to see Vida's body flowing down the side of the building, her cape flapping in the wind. Then he realized what she was doing. Vida reached out with her hand as she continued falling, and her morpher fell right into her grasp as she dropped past the stone gargoyle.

"Magical Source, Mystic Force!"

"Galwit Mysto Ranger!"

Shane shielded his eyes from the intense, pink light that flowed from below him, and realized too late that he could hear the sound of a Mystic Racer shooting up toward him.

Shane launched backwards, narrowly avoiding the explosion from the Mystic Racer's blasters being fired at the roof, kicking back until landing near the club entrance and flashing his morpher.

"Ninja Storm, Ranger Form! Ha!"

The Pink Mystic Ranger gripped the handlebars of the Mystic Racer, steering it to ram right into the ninja, but when he suddenly transformed into the Red Wind Ranger, she was suddenly thrown from her vehicle as a red streak slashed it in half! She leapt back onto the roof as the two halves of the Mystic Racer exploded behind her, sending flaming debris screaming from the heavens onto an unassuming city below.

The sorceress turned just in time to block the Red Wind Ranger's sword with her staff. An explosion of ranger energy ignited from the collison of the two weapons, causing a ring of sparks to shoot up all around them.

"Give it up, Shane," Vida shouted. "I already got one Red Ranger on my case- I don't need another!"

"Shut up," Shane exclaimed. "You wanted to take this all the way- you got it!"

Vida's jaw dropped under her helmet when the image of the Red Wind Ranger suddenly vanished from in front of her, and she could only feel the after-effect of his movements. Vida was stunned beyond words. Within less than a second, Shane had already run up, down, and all around her, slashing her endlessly with his ninja sword. She screamed when the blade cut past her wrist, knocking the Magi Staff from her hands.

The staff flew up behind her and found its way into Shane's hands, who then landed, with both his enemy's weapon and his own, one in each hand.

"Time to end this," Shane said, and all before Vida even had time to realize that she was being defeated.

Red ran toward the Pink Ranger with a furious battlecry, the faces of his fallen students flashing in his eyes, the two weapons from different worlds outstretched in his hands. Suddenly, the blades of the Magi Staff began to glow pink, then were forced into a more powerful red. The blade of the ninja sword surged with gold energy as Shane summoned for the upgrade.

And at last, Red shot past the Pink Ranger, slashing her with both weapons, and snapping into a formidable stance, crossing his weapons over his chest, his back turned to his defeated foe.

Sparks flowed from the Pink Mystic Ranger until finally, she dropped to the ground and erupted into a tremendous explosion that sent ripples of destruction across the roof of the building.

The Magi Staff was thrown and stabbed into the last undamaged wall of the club as the ninja dance mix continued on, the last clubgoer of the night disappearing in a red streak....

THE SECOND COLLISON
CERBERUS

A terrible light reflected in Leanbow's eyes as they widened in horror at the sight of the devastated city that stood before him. Towers of glass and iron that once stood proudly toward the heavens had now been dropped like dominos upon one another in an ever-expanding explosion of the most monstrous power.

And this was not the only place touched by such destruction. A force of this magnitude had undoubtedly ripped its way across the entire world and beyond. It was not simply the world, but the very fabrics of time and reality themselves that had been disrupted. The jewel that hung from that man's neck was more than anyone had witnessed for milennia, and was unravelling the very tapestry of existence around them.

Anubis Cruger stood beside him with a growl of uncertainty about his surroundings. Whatever evil that had brought him to this place may not stop until everything he worked so hard to protect was in ruins.

Leanbow's look of shock soon turned to incredulous anger as he looked at the figure up ahead and grit his teeth, barely able to contain his rage.

The sharp-jawed man wore a frame of black hair, with his back turned toward the wizard- perhaps the last wizard left alive. In his arms, he held the body of another man, the two of them surrounded on three sides by a wall of crackling flames. The look upon the man's face when he finally turned around was even more surprising. His eyes were closed, but it was clear that tears had just fallen from them.

"I warned you," Leanbow finally gained the restraint to say intelligibly. "I told you the power of the Wolf Stone was too strong. It contained the souls of thousands of Wolf Demons- not even the greatest of powers could have hoped to control it."

"This was not what we wanted," the stranger spoke grievously, his eyes still closed, a damning wind tossing his hair about.

"Do not speak to me of intentions, boy! I told you of the dangers! But you wouldn't listen. You and your partner refused my assistance and because of it, you released the Demon Horde on the Earth- YOU STUPID MORTAL!!!"

The stranger opened his eyes in anger. Leanbow was stunned by what he witnessed. The man's eyes were not those of a human. They were the piercing, yellow eyes of a wolf.

"I'm no mortal..."

The man slowly lowered the body of his companion to the ground, and the light of the fire was cast over it, to reveal that it was Merrick, once known as the Lunar Wolf Ranger, now dead from the effects of the red stone around his friend's neck.

With that, the stranger suddenly let out a gut-wrenching cry, and a cloak of black energy swept over him, encasing him in a thick, black armor. When the smoke cleared, his true form was finally revealed to the bafflement of the wizard. It was the former Duke Org, Zen-Aku.

"I tried to be like him... I tried to walk the path of good... But in the end, there's only one thing I know how to be... and that's a monster."

"This can't be real," Cruger said to himself. It was all he could say.

"I still have control of two of the Wolf Demons... and I can think of no better way to celebrate the end of the world than this!"

Suddenly, Zen-Aku yanked the Wolf Stone from around his neck and shot two shadowy blasts toward the two heroes. The blasts were monstrous spirits, which quickly latched themselves into the two heroes' bodies.

Leanbow shouted out as he could feel the darkness coursing through him- it was a horror he had prayed to never face again. He could feel his willpower being beaten out of him until there was almost nothing left but the irresistible urge to...

"AAAGH!!"

Before Leanbow could fully recover from the demon possession, he felt Cruger's foot across his face, sending him shooting to his side, drilling a ditch into the rubble as his body skid across the ground.

Cruger's eyes narrowed as he watched Leanbow's body fly from his side, the other demon spirit having forced him to fight. And it wasn't just Leanbow he intended to destroy. The alien dog set his sights on Zen-Aku himself as he whipped forth his black SPD Morpher and thrust it forward.

"SPD, Emergency!"

Zen-Aku let out a devilish laugh as he ran toward the silver light that engulfed Anubis' body, transforming him before his eyes.

"Crescent Blade!"

In a dash of power, Zen-Aku's crescent-shaped weapon appeared in his hand and he wasted no time in swinging it down toward his foe. It was all there was left to do. If the world was going to end, his place was on the battlefield. The last battlefield there was ever going to be. May the best dog win.

KRRSH! A wave of sparks burst forth from the collision of the Crescent Blade and the Shadow Sabre. The sparks bounced off of the newly-formed visor of the Shadow Ranger's helmet, the alien warrior quickly parrying his attack and delivering a spinning slash to his back.

Leanbow dragged himself off of the ground and dusted himself off with a look of pure hatred. Just a few feet away from him, he could see a blur of black and silver as the two warriors moved with such merciless grace that the ground beneath them shook and rippled.

"I won't allow this to continue... without me," Leanbow said. "Magical Source, Mystic Force!"

Zen-Aku laughed maniacally as Shadow Ranger's fist shot into his grip- he had caught his punch. And with a menacing twist, he used it to hurl the ranger over his shoulder.

Shadow Ranger dropped his sword as his body went flipping through the air, but suddenly slammed into a Red Mystic Spell Seal, which sent him slamming back to the ground. Zen-Aku could see Leanbow's blood-thirsty eyes through the shimmering symbols of the Spell Seal, just before the Sorcerer jumped through it and was baptized in flame, transforming him into the red-armored Wolf Warrior.

The knight did not stop running when he ejected from the Spell Seal. He simply kept running as the Eye of his shield opened and released a storm of energy-pulses toward the black wolf.

"Wolf Attack!"

Zen-Aku refused to give in, smacking the blasts away with the swing of his blade, each one causing explosion to rip up all around him. But Wolf Warrior showed no signs of stopping. He kept running. Until at last, he had slammed into Zen-Aku with his shield at full force.

Zen-Aku bit down on the shield with his fangs as he felt himself being forced backward by the knight, still running with him with a furious battlecry. The two combatants ran so far and so forcefully that they found themselves crashing right through the wall of a building that had toppled over.

A parade of stone, brick, and sparks filled the air as Wolf Warrior finally stopped and let Zen-Aku fly away, but at the cost of losing his shield. Zen-Aku's body smashed through a table, having landed in an office that was now sitting sideways in the middle of a dessimated street.

"I'm afraid I don't have any silver bullets," Leanbow said through his mask. "So this sword will have to do."

Wolf Warrior raised his sword and began marching toward the fallen Duke Org, but suddenly, a whistle in the wind alerted him of another presence. He desperately threw himself out of the way just in time to dodge a diving kick from Shadow Ranger, who quickly lashed his Shadow Saber in front of him.

"That's all you got?... I've taken craps in the back yard that took more skill than that... Shadow Sabre, Power up!"

With that, a streak of light washed his jagged sword clean and a wave of blue flame engulfed him, energizing his weapon for its ultimate attack. But his two canine foes were not ready to give in just yet. Wolf Warrior regained his footing and Zen-Aku stood up from behind the broken office desk.

"DARK MAGIC STRIKE!"

"CRESCENT WAVE!"

Shadow Ranger could barely contain the power vibrating in his sword as he hurled it in front of him, unleashing a blast. Simultaneously, Zen-Aku's blade launched an unstoppable crescent of power, and Wolf Warrior sent a crackle of Twisted Magic. The three attacks collided...

Outside the toppled office building, where day had turned to night, a calming silence had fallen over the destroyed city. But the silence was splintered when an earth-shattering explosion erupted from the office building, sending a giant plume of flame and ash into the air that could be seen for miles by anyone that might possibly have been left alive.

The sound of a wild blaze was the first thing Leanbow could hear when he finally came to his senses, pulling himself out from under a charred sheet of asphalt. He could feel the intensity of the fire next to him because there were large pieces of his armor, including his visor, that were completely destroyed by the blast. His left eye, now visible, looked around for his weapon, but found nothing... until he saw two figures emerge from the veil of smoke before him.

Zen-Aku ran from his attacker with the last strength left in his tattered body, realizing too late that he had run right in front of his other enemy. The last remnants of the Duke Org's once-proud armor were smoking uncontrollably, and it took everything he had to keep himself upright as he dropped to one knee. His horn was broken away.

Leanbow looked down at him in disgust. He had become a victim to his own twisted plan. Leanbow watched silently as Shadow Ranger pulled his morpher out with a shaky hand and pressed a button. Zen-Aku felt an energy-field wash over him and convert him into a Containment Card, which then raised into the air and began to fly toward the SPD Officer's hand. But just before he could catch it, the card was suddenly struck by a ball of fire from Wolf Warrior's hand.

Zen-Aku's cries echoed across the battlefield as his containment card exploded, effectively ripping the Org apart, one molecule at a time, until there was nothing left but a fizz of fire in the air. And with his death came the destruction of the Wolf Stone.

The two dogged warriors yelped when they felt the effects of the evil spell beginning to wear off. Leanbow concentrated his magic and forced the demon spirit out of his body. When he regained his senses, he quickly threw a spell upon Shadow Ranger, which finally exorcised the darkness from his heart.

The two of them watched as the shadowy entities- like living capes of darkness- flew up into the air and headed toward the dark horizon, under the silvery light of the full moon. They had done it. They had defeated Zen-Aku's sick game... but that changed little else.

Behind his cracked helmet, Doggie's eyes widened in disbelief as he watched the two Wolf Demons rise up into the air in the distance... and join their ten-thousand brothers and sisters. Literally an Army of Darkness- a cloud of evil filled the sky, swirling in a mass so powerful that its very arrival had shredded the world.

Shadow Ranger turned toward Wolf Warrior.

Wolf Warior turned toward Shadow Ranger.

"It's the end of the world," Leanbow said. Even he didn't know whether he was joking or not.

"Not my first," Doggie replied. "...and not the last."

"We do not have a chance in hell... but the underworld's not what it's cracked up to be anyway."

The cloud of evil began to stir, until it collected into a terrible serpent of darkness that shot through buildings and threw up an army of explosions in its wake as it headed toward the two tiny figures in shimmering armor.

Wolf Warrior and Shadow Ranger both nodded. Without words, they knew what happened next. They curled their hands into fists and hurled themselves into the air with all the power left in them. The last battle on Earth had only just begun....

It was fun to read it and interesting. I guess you are going to do more with the rangers...

Thanks, yeah. Plenty more characters to come, but not all of them will neccesarily be Rangers, as evidenced by "Cerberus."

Whoo, that was beautiful. :claps: The backstory, to me, was still a little vague, but it was a good fight nonetheless.

Ya know what, I agree with you, lol. Reading through it again, I almost thought it looked like it was setting up for a flashback or something, which I had no desire to really do. With the first story, I wasn't sure how much was too much, and all that, but I'll try to make it more clear for future stories.

LOL! Thank you. Yeah, this was definitely a big "fantasy battle" for me personally too.

Just out of curiosity, which were your two favorites? I'm always wondering if whoever's reading these things will actually like the outcome or not.

THE THIRD COLLISON
KAT

Kat Manx sat in the old, rusted chair, her arms tied to the seat with rope, a single pool of flourescent light shining down on her. The rest of the room was dark and dank- it must have been abandoned.

A man's hand crept up to touch the side of her face, but Kat let out an angry hiss and bared her fangs, causing the man to quickly pull away.

Kat looked up at the three men that had kidnapped her, the sight of them filling her with anger.

"Such a pretty girl," one of them said. "You wouldn't want a face as lovely as yours to be damaged any further, would you? So just give us the access codes to the Delta Base and you can go."

Kat said nothing. She just stared at the men intently with those luminous cat-eyes, as though she was looking right through them. Nothing was going to make her talk. Nothing would make her betray him...

She glanced over to the wall next to her to see a small window with no glass, with a pair of wooden boards lazily covering it. Kat's ears perked up at the sound of a train coming from at least a mile away. She must be near Sector 7. But that information was useless if she didn't find a way to get out or contact someone.

"Time's up."

The voice shot forth from across the room, commanding the attention of the three kidnappers and their prisoner. Kat took the opportunity to work on the restraints around her arms, struggling to cut away at the rope with her fingernails. But the face that began to emerge from the shadows almost made her forget what she was doing.

"You're..." Kat began.

"Call me Kat," the blonde woman said, with an Australian accent. She wore a black SPD uniform, which she had doubtlessly stolen in order to infiltrate the Delta Base.

But it was impossible. The woman Ms. Manx was staring at could not have been there, especially not looking as young as a teenager. Katherine Hillard was long gone. At least that was what the SPD records had shown.

"Now, tell me, Miss Manx," Katherine continued. "What are the access codes to the Delta Base's primary functions."

"If you think I'm telling you anything you can forget it. Who are you, really?"

"I told you who I am. And I'm tired of waiting around for Cruger to keep this city safe. He should have been relieved of command a long time ago."

"How dare you..."

"Give me the access codes... Or maybe you'd prefer I pay Cruger a visit myself. He's off duty tonight, right? Maybe I'll just pop into his room while he's asleep."

Kat's eyes narrowed furiously. With the twist of her wrist, she had sliced the last bit of rope she needed to pull herself free.

"I don't think so."

Katherine jumped away just as Manx suddenly backflipped out of the chair and kicked it into the face of the man that had tried to touch her.

"She's free," Katherine shouted. "Shoot her!"

The two remaining kidnappers yanked SPD-issue Blasterjets from their sides and fired a storm of lasers across the room. The light of the blasts reflected in Kat's eyes as she shot straight up onto the wall and ran alongside it, sparks bursting up just behind her as she dodged their attacks. Before either of them realized what was happening, Kat's claws had ripped across their faces, sending them both spinning to the ground on either side of their leader.

The men let out moans of pain as Katherine watched their prisoner go shooting right through the boarded window and out of the building within seconds of freeing herself of her bonds!

Kat Manx felt the chilling night wind whip through her hair as her legs went flailing into the air. If she hadn't timed it perfectly, she would be dead. She had thrown herself from the window of a tall building and was now flying through the air several stories from the ground. She let out a loud cry of relief as she felt her boots slam onto the roof of the Sector 7 train, just as it was passing by.

Kat's claws gripped tightly into the metal of the roof, holding on with everything she had to keep from being thrown back by the intense force pushing against her.

Back in the abandoned building, the kidnappers were all gripping terrible wounds, completely defeated. Katherine snarled at them before running toward the destroyed window.

"What are you doing?" one of her men asked.

"If ya want something done right..."

The three of them watched in amazement as Katherine jumped right through the window and two devices appeared around her wrists.

"Zeo Ranger One, Pink!"

Katherine locked the devices into place and, as she spun through the air, she was bathed in particles of pink energy, until she was transformed into the Pink Zeo Ranger, landing atop the roof of the last car on the Sector 7 Train.

A pair of doors were forced open to the center car of the train by Manx's claws. The only passanger this late at night was a young man sitting in the corner with a bottle of Onyxian Ale. His attention could not have been more focused on the beautiful cat-woman that had just walked onto his train.

"Well, hello."

Kat rolled her eyes and quickly walked over to the computer terminal on the wall of the train. With a few keystrokes, she accessed the train's automated steering system and rerouted it toward the Delta Base. Outside, the train tracks realigned themselves, causing the train to turn onto a different track than it normally would have, in an emergency situation.

Kat's next order of business was to contact SPD. She opened a text file to call for help, but just before she could send her message, the screen was filled with interference.

"What the--"

BWOOSH! Kat threw herself out of the way just in time to dodge a huge explosion that blasted its way through the roof on the far side of the train car. A cloud of flame and metal filled the entire half of the train car, and emerging from that crackling mess was the Pink Zeo Ranger. The light of the fire was reflected in the black of her visor. She was not going to give up that easily.

"You're not going anywhere," Hillard said.

"You want a fight," Manx replied. "You got one."

With that, the Zeo Ranger was stunned to see Manx suddenly pull a white SPD Morpher from her coat pocket and thrust it forward. After everything she had gone through to pull off this operation, her incompetant allies hadn't even thought to check her pockets!

"SPD, Emergency!"

"Holy shi--" the young passanger started to say, hiding behind his seat.

Hillard refused to let it end this way. She rushed across the destroyed train car as quickly as she could to stop Manx from finishing her transformation, but it was too late. A burst of orange energy ejected from the SPD Morpher, scattered all around her and consumed her with a protecting battle-suit in a flash. Hillard's fist struck nothing but the palm of Kat Ranger's hand, who had expertly blocked her attack, and grabbed her by the wrist.

"No!" Katherine shouted.

"Yes!" Kat shouted back.

With a furious spin, Kat Ranger hurled Zeo Pink around the room and smashed her helmet right through a window, shattering the glass and exposing her head to the deafening scream of wind travelling at over 100 miles per hour as the train rocketed through downtown NewTech City.

It took everything the Zeo Ranger had to free herself from the SPD warrior's grasp and counter with a dagger-kick to her chest. Kat cried out as she was thrown across the room, smashing against the computer terminal on the other wall.

"Say goodnight, wannabe. Zeo Laser Pistol!"

Kat's eyes widened behind her visor as she realized the Ranger from the past had yanked the blaster from her side and was taking aim. She quickly pulled herself from the ground and carthweeled out of the way just in time to dodge the red beams that blasted through the control mechanism, sparks shooting out of the train and into the night.

Kat had to go on fighting, but her senses told her that something was terribly wrong with the train's operating systems. Too much damage had occurred, and the train was unstable now. As she hurriedly ran toward Zeo Ranger One, sparks shooting up all around her from continuous laser-fire, she could just barely hear the sound of the train tracks eratically shifting over and over again. Soon enough, this train could fall off of its tracks...

Zeo Pink wore her finger out pulling the trigger, firing beams at her target, but the cat-alien was too fast for her eyes to follow, leaping around her as the lights flickered on and off, sparks jumping up everywhere. Katherine only blinked once, and was startled at the sight of Kat Ranger's helmet appearing directly in front of her. And with a devastating fist to the face, she knocked the blaster from her hands and sent her skidding across the metallic floor, landing her right next to the young man cowering in the corner.

Kat Ranger marched down the center of the car to finish this fight, but her enemy was not going to give up so easily. Manx was surprised to see that there was so much fight left in the girl from Angel Grove, who rose to her feet and summoned a powerful pink flame into her hands, concentrating it into a pulsating sphere. Her hands trembled, her weakened state barely able to control the power between her tattered fingers.

"Don't do it," Kat said.

Katherine looked down at the power in her hands, and back up at the SPD Ranger, as though to consider what she was about to do. Never did she want it to go this far. It was her plan to protect the city's people, not put them in harm's way... But she couldn't go to prison. How would that help anyone?

"P-Pink Power Cloud, Now!"

With that, the Ranger released the attack. But Kat Ranger suddenly threw out her hands and released a scattering of white energy-flakes from her fingers.

"Kat Stunners!"

The energy-flakes collided with the Power Cloud and went off like sticks of dynamite, exploding one after another in mid-air. The resulting blast was enough to launch Zeo Ranger One right up against the far wall and overload her powers, causing her battle-suit to demateralize from around her.

Kat wasted no time in pulling forth her morpher. The train was shaking wildly now. Just as she feared, the train was breaking free of its tracks, and the front car had already burst right through the safety guards along the railing and off of the track!

The young man watched in amazement as a pitiful Katherine Hillard laid there, too injured to run or fight, as Kat activated her morpher and locked her into a Containment Card in a dash of light. Kat reached for the card, but the train suddenly made a rapid twist and fell onto its side, causing the card to fly off out of sight!

There was no time left. She could hear the sound of grinding metal as the last few cars of the train left in front of hers was dropping right off of the tracks, falling from a deadly height into the street below.

Kat turned and ran along the shattering glass of the windows, which were now below her. The young man let out a yelp as he felt her fingers snatch him up by his collar and yank him into the air with a leap. Before he knew what was happening, a flurry of Kat Stunners had blasted a hole through the upper wall of the staggering train and the two of them had landed on the exterior of the car.

"Whoa!" the man shouted as Kat Ranger grabbed him into her arms and began running for her life along the exterior of the car as it rocketed forward, toward the cliff that lead to certain death, down below. She knew that her only chance was to jump over to a nearby building, but her strength was waning. If she had any chance to succeed, it would have to be now.

With that, Kat made a desperate leap off of the train, just as the last car rushed from right underneath her feet. The next three seconds passed like an eternity, as Kat, with a civilian flailing wildly in her arms, shot through the air and finally landed on the very edge of the building.

"AAAGH!!!"

Kat and the man slammed into a roll across the roof just as the train collided with the street below them, erupting into an incredible explosion.

Kat had done it. She escaped her kidnappers on her own. She saved the civilian passanger. She...

"Katherine..." she let out, as her suit finally gave in and powered itself down, forcing her back into civilian form. Kat let out a painful sigh as she realized that she had left Katherine's Containment Card somewhere on the train, and in all likelyhood, it was destroyed in that horrific explosion. She had survived, but at what cost?

Clap. Clap. Clap.

Kat turned and was astonished at what she saw. There, walking up to her with the light of the full moon shimmering just behind him, was Supreme Commander Fowler Birdy.

"Excellent work, Miss Manx."

"W-What?" Kat asked, flabbergasted.

No one paid any attention to the young man, who didn't know what was happening.

Kat, on the other hand, began to well up with tears in her eyes. She was finally beginning to figure it out.

"You did a wonderful job, doctor," Birdy continued. "It's true, our best hopes were that you could have saved both the prisoner and the civilian, but in a situation like the one you just faced, you made the best decision. You saved the civilian."

"You... You're telling me that... The entire night- the kidnapping, the interrogation, the train... None of it was real?"

Birdy pulled forth the Simulation Room control pad and handed it to Kat.

"It was your idea to use the memory-erasure process to make sure the simulation was as real as possible... Don't look so upset, doctor. You passed the exam. The committee has decided to make you an official SPD Officer."

Kat stared into Birdy's eyes as tears began to stream down her own face. The mix of emotions coursing through her were too much of a jumble for even her to sort out. She could not believe him. She could not believe herself. The only thing she had left to believe in now... was the button that would deactivate this disgusting falacy.

Birdy gave a confused look as he watched the cityscape of NewTech City vanish from around them, one computer-generated molecule at a time. The young civilian's disguise dematerialized, revealing that it was actually Boom, who looked devastated that he could have caused so much pain to his friend.

There was nothing more to do. There was nothing more to say.

Kat silently grasped Birdy's hand and placed the control pad into it, before walking out alone....

Birdy is a bitch!

Anyway, once again great job. I think this one was my favorite. Maybe because you used some of my favorite characters. It was really nicely written and very well described. I actually imagined everything, it felt like a real 5 stars Power Rangers episode. Great Job and keep it up.

I was waiting for a Kat Fight. :rimshot:

Nice job, I really thought Hillard was gonna win for a moment there...

Thanks.

Maxell: Cool, I used some more favorites. Of course, I was never really a Kat Hillard fan, but this was a fight that was begging to be made.

DarkStarShadow: I'm glad I kept you unsure of who was going to win. It's part of the fun of doing these- it's not obvious who the winner will be, like it would be in a normal story.

Lates!

VERSUS

THE FOURTH COLLISON
SHADOWS

Diabolico lifted a hand to wipe the sweat from his golden brow. He looked up into that terrible, churning sky. No sun. And yet the endless desert that stretched out before him was hotter than anything he had ever felt before. It was the desert of the Shadow World. With an angry sigh, he gripped the large mining spike and drove it deeply into the bed of rock at his feet.

Taking in breaths of the stale, ominous air, he did his best to ignore the screams he heard from those all around him that did not work fast enough or hard enough for the Overseers. The Overseers stood over eight feet tall, with the blackest eyes- like looking into an abyss.

Just behind him, Diabolico could feel the clap of air that shot out from the impact of an Overseer's whip striking Guitardo's back. The monster let out a horrid cry, as he felt the burning whip slash right through the shell of his body, forcing him to his knees in terror. Diabolico dared not turn around. In fact, he began to work faster to find more jewels hidden in the rock.

The once-proud demon that terrorized the human world knew all too well what would happen if he dared to oppose the Overseers. Down in the Shadow World, they made the rules. No power from the living world could stand against them, no matter how great. At least not any that was within his limited reach... for the moment.

At long last, 99 days had finally passed out there in the great emptiness of the desert, and Diabolico and the other inmates were sent on to the next phase of their unending torment. It did not take long for Diabolico to realize that nearly half the demons, monsters, and mutants that were in his unit had been severely wounded or maimed, with wounds that would never heal. Ever.

As the group of 40 creatures stumbled across the smoldering desert, without food or water, many lagged behind. The crack of an Overseer's whip was not always enough to keep the herd moving. Some were left behind. Diabolico's legs felt ten times heavier, covered in sweat and stricken with pain. But he knew he had to keep moving. Someone was waiting for him. His last chance.

Flurious dropped to the ground in exhaustion, and even the lash of several Overseers was not enough to make him move again. Diabolico nearly smirked when he looked up into the sky and saw what was coming for the pale-skinned fool.

Up above them, a toxic cloud of fiery energy swept across the skies like a blanket of pure hatred. The cloud let out a horrifying shriek, the very sound of which seemed to cause the skin on every inmate's body to ripple and peel. Its very presence was enough to cause pain to those nearest to it, as it shot down from above, directly toward Flurious, who looked up with indescribeable eyes.

At once, Flurious found strength again, and jumped to his feet to try to rejoin the crowd that had begun walking away from him, but it was too late. The cloud came rushing down, sending spectral flames shooting down all around him. Within moments, Flurious could feel his body fall apart. But it did not end there. His soul- his very essence- burned within him. His last cry echoed across the desert as his spirit was extinguished in the flames of the cloud. Flurious was no more. Less than dead. Nothing.

And he was not the only one to fall. On their long journey across the desert, many others dropped under the perilous heat, and were left behind for those awful clouds to feast upon. But not Diabolico. He knew that every heavy step he forced himself to take would get him that much closer to the one that would deliver him from this nightmare.

Hours passed like days, but at long last, Diabolico finally saw the blurred image from afar. Just behind a large rock formation, he peaked his head out. One of the few monsters that had escaped the Overseers and managed to avoid being sensed by the death-clouds. The one that could help him get away.

Diabolico waited for the signal, just as they had planned. And when he saw the monster's head nod, he quickly dove to the ground. An Overseer looked down at him with fury in its eyes, raising a flaming whip to strike him. But before the Overseer could attack, it was suddenly halted by a flash of green light. Suddenly, a massive shockwave of energy swept across the desert, emmanating from the figure behind the rock formation. In an instant, the shockwave caused anything in its path, including the Overseers and the inmates, to fly apart like a pile of leaves struck by a sudden wind.

Diabolico turned up with a laugh as he watched the Overseer above him scatter to pieces and dissipate in the air, along with everyone else in sight. With that, Diabolico stood up and dusted himself off triumphantly, stepping over the mounds of dust that used to be the Overseers and the other inmates. Darkonda stepped out from behind the rock formation with a terrible cackle, holding a glimmering, green stone in his hand.

"Excellent work," Diabolico laughed. "I see you found the Shadow Gem."

"Was there ever any doubt?" Darkonda replied, admiring the gem under the eerie desert light. It was the one thing that would give a fallen monster the power to walk back and forth between the Shadow World and Earth. A precious gem, which almost cost him his very soul to retrieve.

"Now," Diabolico continued. "Give me the gem."

"... No."

Diabolico's eyes narrowed.

"You know that its ultimate power- the portal to the living world- it can only be used by a true demon. You might be able to destroy a few useless monsters with it, but you'll never get out of here. Not without my help."

"That's true," Darkonda said slyly. "But I don't need you alive to do it."

Diabolico knew that there was no reasoning with the fool. If he wanted to escape that awful place, he was going to have to take the gem from him by force. But just as the demon master raised a fist to him, he felt a set of sharp teeth drill their way into his back!

Diabolico shouted out as he realized that Darkonda was not alone. Crocatox, one of Darkonda's old creations, had just sunk its fanged arms into his back! But, in a dash of gold power, Diabolico whirled around, summoning his staff into his hands, which he drove into the crocodile-monster's chest with the force of a sledgehammer.

Sparks burst forth from Crocatox's chest as it was thrown through the air, crashing through mounds of dust and sand, shouting out in pain. Never in its life, or death, had it been hit by such power. Diabolico had spent several years in the Shadow World waiting for this day, and his rage had rekindled a sleeping power like few had ever seen.

With a menacing cry, Diabolico swung his staff back around at his other enemy, but it was stopped in mid-air by Darkonda's sword, a splash of energy splintering across the battlefield from the collision of the two blades. Darkonda couldn't help but laugh.

"You fool," he shouted. "You really think you can stand against me? You are only one monster. And, without me, you'll never get out of here!"

"You have that backwards, you twisted fool. I alone have the power you seek. And I won't be needing seven lives to show it to you!"

Diabolico whirled his staff with ferocious strength, but as Darkonda continued to parry his attacks, Crocatox finally rose and began stalking the demon. Finally, it rushed at him from behind, ready to pay him back for knocking it down. But Crocatox's eyes widened in shock as Diabolico suddenly turned around for an instant, and caused his left hand to launch out from his arm like a rocket. Crocatox cried out as it felt Diabolico's claws rip right into its torso and knock it down yet again, crawling their way deeper and deeper into the freshly-made wound, ripping away at the monster's insides in the process.

Crocatox's screams echoed across the battlefield as explosions leapt up all around Darkonda, desperately dodging the rage-filled blasts from Diabolico's staff. Diabolico was playing for keeps. No one was going to keep him from doing what he had planned to do if he could help it. And he was far from finished.

As Darkonda jumped away from a golden blast, Diabolico quickly turned and raised his left arm, summoning his detached hand back to him. Crocatox let out one final cry as the hand ripped back through him and returned to Diabolico. Diabolico curled his fingers into a fist as he turned with glowing eyes, and whatever remained of Crocatox erupted into an explosion just behind him.

With that, Diabolico expected to launch another attack on Darkonda, but when he turned, he could not see him. Suddenly, the ground beneath him began to warp and ripple, as though the very fabric of reality had been distorted. And, rising up from that distortion, Darkonda sent his sword ripping straight up Diabolico's body with lethal accuracy.

Sparks ejected from the golden body of the towering brute like lightning. But, before Diabolico knew what to do with himself, he could feel the icey sting of the orange monster's blade cut through him yet again. And again. The fabric of the air around him began to warp, as Darkonda jumped here and there, seeming to be almost everywhere at once. And, every time he passed, his sword struck him.

Whether by sheer astonishment or by the force of Darkonda's blade slashing his arm, Diabolico dropped his staff. Flashes between conciousness and unconciousness shot through him. In-between patches of total darkness, he could see chunks of gold fly off of him and into the air, followed by the heat of menacing flames that crackled wildly in the desert.

And then it happened. A tentacle of orange and yellow had planted itself into his back. His individuality sapped. His free will supressed. In moments, his body was no longer his own. Diabolico tried to scream- it was all he could do as he felt Darkonda's twisted body intermix with his own. But soon, even his screams were silenced, as fragments of bone and flesh forced their way into him. Taking control. Taking it all. The next voice that escaped his lips did not belong to him alone.

"Now that's more like it," Darkolico said, with a twin-voiced laugh.

Diabolico screamed within himself as loudly as he could, but no one would hear him, trapped inside this horrifying gold and orange monstrosity that he and Darkonda had created.

"And now," Darkolico spoke, as he pulled the Shadow Gem from his side. "We can get down to business. With the power of a true demon, I have access to the stone's greatest gift. A portal back to the living world!"

Diabolico could not stop him, as he felt his body- their body- raise the gemstone to the air and speak the ancient words that few left in the universe still remembered. And in response to the incantation, the gemstone began to glow green, and a bolt of power shot out, exploding into a whirlpool of energy ten feet in front of him. The portal back to Earth.

A single tear fell from Darkolico's eye. How ironic that the only thing that Diabolico could still do was cause such a pathetic display to happen. He had been defeated...

"Don't worry, Diabolico," Darkolico laughed. "I'll enjoy slaughtering your Lightspeed pals for you too."

Darkolico began to step toward the portal. But then something happened. Darkolico found that he could not lift his left leg a second time. Darkonda let out a growl. What was it? What was keeping him from moving? Suddenly, he could feel Diabolico's conciousness intensify within him. Darkonda tried to supress it further, but something had awakened.

Lightspeed? Slaughter them? If anyone was going to take revenge on them for destroying his friends and allies, it was going to be Diabolico. Not some twisted ruffian that shares his face!

"I will not... let this... happen!"

Darkolico let out a terrible echoed scream as its two trembling hands reached up and grasped the back of its head. Darkonda tried to resist, but was completely unprepared for the rage surging through his newly-created veins, forcing his claws to dig deeply into the monster's flesh. In moments, a mold of bone and flesh was pulled out of the front of Darkolico's head, resembling a mangled version of Diabolico's face!

"NO!" a voice crept out from the back of its head. Darkonda opened his eyes and could see that Diabolico was forcefully pulling himself out of him. The front of Darkolico's body was now almost completely gold, while the helpless orange and yellow half remained in the back, struggling desperately to regain control, but to no avail.

Sparks gushed forth from every open crevice as Diabolico burst out of his organic prison. Darkonda looked up with trembling vision just in time to see Diabolico's fist slam into his face, knocking him completely out of his body. But this time, the Shadow Gem was in Diabolico's hands.

With his last strength, Darkonda conjured his sword and raised it to stab his enemy in the back, but Diabolico just casually walked toward the portal with a laugh. Darkonda was too weak to even retaliate. He collapsed onto the desert floor, his sword stabbing into the ground just next to him.

Diabolico walked casually toward the portal, triumphant. But just as he stepped up to the mouth of the green whirpool, he felt a curl in his scales. He could feel it coming. The blood-boiling sound of its shriek echoed in his ears, filling him with dread, just as it had before.

Without hesitation, Diabolico jumped as quickly as he could toward the portal. But it was too late. Diabolico's hand was the only thing that touched the portal, just before being sucked backward by the overpowering force of the spectral flames that flooded over him. The last thing Diabolico's eyes saw before they liquified in the fire was the faint image of Darkonda pulling himself up off of the ground, stumbling toward the portal...

I would have liked the first one a lot more if we'd found out what happened between them. *shakes fist* Damn you dangled carrot!

Heh, thanks. Funny thing, I somehow thought the Kat one would be less liked. Shows what I know.

And yeah... I know what you mean with the first one. >_>;
