Lover’s Melody
It was a cold and silent night. The air was blowing harder than ever. The hair of a beautiful lady was blowing freely by the cold air like a superstar. She was walking slowly in the streets of Reefside and she stopped in front of a music store looking sad at the albums in the corner.
“I guess I’m never going to have this” she said sadly looking at the albums dreaming about watching one day her face in one of those
“Don’t say that again, not in front of me” said the man that appeared in the dark street. It was Trent who put his hand in Kira’s shoulder giving her support in the frustrating situation.
“I went there and they didn’t like me. They said that I was too common and that they wanted someone with more style and an extravagant look” she said when a tear came out of her eye.
“You’re the best singer in the world…be strong because is going to be tough and you need to be tough as well” Trent said grabbing Kira’s hand and putting it in his chest. “I believe in you”
Both of them connected in a strong look; they both felt a strange feeling. They decided to leave but before they united in a big hug and Trent kissed her in her head. They both walked down and Kira was feeling a lot better.
A friend is always the one that cheers you up, love is the one that makes you happy when sadness is inside of you. What did Kira feel? Was it love? Was it friendship?
The day came out and the sun was brighter than ever. Everyone was in Hailey’s Cyberspace wondering about Kira’s appointment. Trent entered and he joined them and he explained what happened
“I talked to her and she said that they didn’t like her. They rejected her because she was too common and because of her image” Trent explained and he saw the sad faces of her friends.
“We need to cheer her up, she need us now more than ever. She was so excited about her appointment” Tommy said looking at the door that was open by Kira
“Kira I know that you must feel horrible about this but that was just an experience, a bad one that you are going to forget. I promise. When they tried to cut the tree you know that I was feeling pretty bad but a new tree is in there that is making me happy” Krysta said trying to cheer up Kira
“I’m a lot better now. Trent helped me yesterday. Really thank you Trent. I feel a lot better now and I’m actually looking for another appointment. I’m doing a song and maybe later I can finish it” Kira said feeling better and excited about her new song.
Out of nowhere a beautiful girl appeared and she was looking for a job in Hailey’s Cyberspace. She was blonde with amazing green eyes and a beautiful smile. Everybody, even Tommy, was looking at the girl with a lot of passion. Kira was feeling uncomfortable and she left to finish her song. Before leaving she saw an image that disturbed her:
‘I’m Trent. I can show you around. I worked in here and is really fun. She’s Hailey, the owner.” Trent explained
“Hi! Nice to meet you. You can come with me.” Hailey said and she left with the girl but suddenly she was interrupted by Trent
“What’s your name?”
“I’m Sandra” the beautiful girl said
Kira was feeling uncomfortable and she left. She went to her house and she started to sing her song

“It seems that our boy likes a girl, huh?” Hailey said looking at Trent who was a little uncomfortable by the comment

(Telephone rings)
“Hello!” Kira said and she knew that the voice was familiar
“Look, you were the singer that came yesterday, right?” the man asked her
“Yeah. Are you from Music X-treme” she asked in an excited way
“Look, we want to reevaluate you. We said no because of your image but maybe we can change that. We still think that we can change your image. We think that your music is really appealing and it would be awesome in the radio. Can you come tomorrow at 9:00 am?” the executive said
“Of course. I will be in there at 9:00 am. You won’t regret it!” she said looking herself at the mirror with her happy expression “I can’t wait to tell Trent!”
Kira left and she went to Hailey’s Cyberspace waiting to tell Trent. She opened the door and she found him
“The Music X-treme company called me. They want to reevaluate me. They said that my music was cool. I want you to come with me tomorrow.” Kira said
“Oh…I’m sorry. I can’t. Remember the girl that came in here. We decided to go and have breakfast together tomorrow. I’m really sorry Kira. I wish you the best of luck” he said leaving Kira sad
“Is ok…” she said and she rapidly left sad and discouraged.
Kira left and she opened door and she looked at Trent. A big tear came down and she left.
“Is not the first time he disappoint me. He lied to me about the white ranger deal” she said disappointed in Trent
Kira went home and she looked at the mirror. She saw a face, a sad face in the mirror. She washed her face and she looked again at the mirror. The sad face was there, the sad face never left…
It was a new day and the sad face was in there but a little bit better. The yellow phone of Kira ringed and she rapidly picked it up.
“Hi! How are you? Feeling excited?” it was Ethan who was calling to wish her luck
“Feeling nervous but I know I’m going to do well” she said
“Ok. Good Luck. I need to go to sleep. I was playing Kingdom Hearts and I’m actually finishing it. I was up all night. Bye” he hung up and Kira laughed
It was 8:00 am and Kira left her home. She went to the Music X-treme studio and the executive Martin received here. Meanwhile at that exact time Trent and Sandra were having breakfast in Mex Coffee’s.
“So, did you live in here all of your life?” Trent asked forcing the question
“I moved last month…I lived in New York” she said
An awkward moment occurred and a Kira flashback came to Trent’s mind. He remembered the day he was attacking the rangers and when Kira demorphed he couldn’t attack her. For some reason that image was still in his mind, and he couldn’t erase it. He was thinking, why? Why did I stop?

“I’m sorry Kira. I know you wanted me in there with you” he said and he grabbed his coffee
“Is that you’re girlfriend?” Sandra asked eating a cupcake
“No…no. She’s my friend and I let her down. She had an appointment with a music company. She was going to an interview, you know, for a record deal and she asked me to go and I said no.” he explained feeling horrible about the situation
“Why did you say no?” she asked knowing why he said no
“I told her that I had a breakfast with you. I feel horrible. I know she needs me. She was always with me when I needed her. She trusted me when the others never did. She’s my best friend… I love her”
“You better go. It seems that she means a lot to you. I know that today is an important day for her. I mean, getting an appointment for a record. Is huge!” she said opening Trent’s eyes.
“You don’t mind if I let you in here. I guess I’m going there.” he left her the money and he left to be with Kira

Kira entered and they asked her for her demo. She gave them the demo and they were listening to it very carefully. They noticed that Kira was a little bit insecure about the situation. She was thinking that maybe Trent liked Sandra.
“Ok, we’re going to take a time to think about it and then we call you. Go outside.” the man said
Kira was waiting outside of the studio when a man appeared with some roses in his hands.
“Trent? What…what are you doing here? I thought you were…” Kira excited and nervously said
“I was but I guess there’s a better place to be. I know you wanted me to be in here…with you. I come Kira, because I want to be with you in this moment” he said looking at Kira who was excited by his presence
“Thanks… they heard my demo again”
“ What did they say?”
“They are going to evaluate it. They are in the room right now.”
Suddenly Kira was called and she looked at Trent. Trent grabbed her hand and he kissed her in the cheek.
“Is going to be okay… I promise.” he said making Kira feel comfortable and confident about herself
Kira entered the room but she needed something.
“Can he come with me?” she asked to Martin
“Of course” Martin said and he gave her a smile. “Kira, we like your demo. Your music is appealing. We have a little problem with you image but we think that you are great. We have a little problem and we can solve it now. We want to hear you sing, now.”
“ Ok, this song was written by me I actually finished it last night. Is called Lover’s Melody“
