Going to take a risk and make a green ranger shield

I know its not easy, but since no one makes then sells them (been trying to get one made for me for over a year now with no luck) so I figured what the heck and just try and make my own. I'm going to use craft foam. Will be awhile before I start since I want to get the spandex suit first but I will show pics once I start and when and if I finish.

I too am going to make one imminently, based on the one I have allready, but bigger. I have kylash's first shield, which is I think really accurate, but too small. Im just going to copy his!

Yea his actually looked pretty good. If I had it thats exactly what I would do. Just copy it but make it bigger.

Thanks, Im planning to do it over school half term, i have a clean week then. I hate having a project in the works for weeks on end having harldy any time to work on it. I like to start it, and finish it very quickly, so I need a nice space of time. The hardest part for me will be finding the foam sheets. I am yet to find any big enough in a store near me, postage from an online shop will be a killer.
Does anyone know what sort of paint is best for foam? If no one knows, I'll have to use trial and error with lots of different paints, which costs more money, and takes longer, so if anyone can help there I'd be grateful.
