here's the first part of my story
Dark Dragon Ranger
In the universe there is an infinite amount of possibilities, change one thing at one second and you create a new universe, separate from the first at the second of separation. In one such universe the Power Rangers exist, and the Green ranger conquered the darkness inside him, to join his friends and fight to defeat the evil Rita Repulsa. After the sorceress destroyed his powers he went on to become the White ranger. But what if the green ranger learned of a way to restore his powers before he became the white ranger. This is that story.
We begin at the time of Jason, the red ranger and leader of the power rangers, returning from his battle with Goldar.
“Tommy, I’m so sorry I failed you,” said Jason
“Its okay, at least now I can get back to other things, like my school work or the martial arts,. I mean nothing will ever replace being a power anger but when you’re a power rangers you start to miss the little things in life” replied Tommy
“I too am sorry that we could not help you keep your powers, you were a valuable member of the team and though we will miss you it was never my intention to rob you of your life,” says Zordon “We will do our best to continue the fight against evil,”
“Zordon, what about the Dark candle, I thought you said it was possible to restore his powers with it?” asked Alpha 5
“Quit Alpha, even if it were possible its to dangerous, I will not allow Tommy to retrieve the Dark Candle, even if it would restore his powers he could die just retrieving it,” zordon said
“What’s this about a Dark Candle,” asked Tommy “If it means restoring my power I’ll take whatever chance it takes.”
“I know you would,” Zordon states “but I wont risk your life to try and restore your powers, maybe if it weren’t so dangerous, or we were at the end of our rope. But I forbid you to e given knowledge about the Dark Candle”
“Alright Zordon, I see what you mean, I mean I would enjoy being a power ranger again but I suppose I shouldn’t risk my life like that if there’s no reason” replies Tommy
After saying they’re goodbyes the rangers and Zordon agree that Tommy should leave Angel Grove since he’d be a prime target for Rita and her forces so Tommy decides to travel to his uncles for a year or so. The rangers and Zordon decide to
Allow Tommy to keep his communicator
Jason feeling angry at himself goes to the park with Zack to exercise, after a grueling series of martial art and aerobic exercises Jason decides what he must do, he must retrieve the dark Candle for Tommy. He knows that Zordon would never tell him where the candle is, but Alpha may slip a word or two so he goes to visit Alpha tending some flowers
“Hey Alpha, how’s it going” Jason casually asks
“Ayiee, I Yiee, not very good, this heat is killing my beautiful flowers. If only it would rain more and when it did it wouldn’t rain so hard,” Alpha says in a fuss
“I know, it’s hard to believe that its hotter down south, I bet Tommy’s enjoying himself up in north, I hear its not nearly as hot up there” says Jason
“His Uncle lives up north, that’s interesting, maybe I should leave Billy incharge of the Command Center for a couple of weeks” Alpha says “You know rest my circuits, and stuff like that”
“Yeah, it’s kind of lucky that he lost his powers, still it’s too bad” Jason says
“Yes it was always nice having him here, he made Kimberly so happy” Alpha says while remembering the days from a couple of months ago
“Yeah, he had that affect on her. Didn’t you say that there was a way to restore his powers?” Jason asks hoping that Alpha will release the information
“Why yes I did,” said Alpha not knowing he was being tricked
“How did you say it could happen?” Jason says focusing on every word alpha says
“Well, when Tommy was linked to the Dark Sword, his power became connected to it, and when the sword was destroyed some of the power was released from Tommy. It was just enough power that it did not disperse, we didn’t know it then but while we were trying to recharge Tommy’s power we noticed that the power was traveling in a direction, later we discovered that the energy was still connected to Tommy’s and that instead of just floating away the energy was drawn to the dark energy” Alpha revealed “that energy condensed into a Dark green candle, if we could get the candle we think that it may be possible to reenergize the Dragon Coin forever”
“Wow, I never thought that some thing like that could happen, its amazing” Jason said a little shocked “But what I want to know is why wouldn’t Zordon let Tommy get the candle”
“That’s because the Candle is in the cave of power, that is the place we first got the power to create the power coins, the only problem is that the cave is guarded by an ancient warrior who is said to have been created by the very power in the crave. To enter you must defeat him and prove that you are truly worthy of the power, otherwise you will be absorbed into him and your spirit will guard the cave for the rest of eternity,” Alpha says “Zordon and I have been the only ones to ever prove our selves and defeat the guardian,”
“How did Rita get the coin in the first place” Jason asks Alpha
“She froze one of our first rangers and cast a extremely long and powerful spell that made the ranger give her the power before he died” Alpha says
“My last question, where is the cave?” Jason hopes he wasn’t to blunt
“About 50 feet under the command center” Alpha says believing that Jason would never try to do something that Zordon has fore bid
“Thank you Alpha, for all your help” Jason says
A few months later Zack and Trini are invited to the junior peace conferences
Jason seeing his chance says that he too had been invited. After passing his powers to Rocky he secretly snicks into the command center by using his knowledge of the center’s security system. After finding the secret entrance to the tunnel that lead to the cave of power he begins a long journey. Once reaching the cave he requests that the guardian allow him to recuperate, the guardian grants one night. The next night they begin they’re fight.
“I really wish we didn’t have to do this,” Jason tells the guardian before throwing a punch
“As do I but I must, that is the way it has always been and the way it will always be” The guardian replies as he evades the punch and counters by grabbing the hand and hitting Jason’s elbow with his hand
“You know that’s one thing about being a power ranger I really miss the suit automatically fixes your wounds even before you feel it” Jason say after crying out in pain, the guardian begins a direct rush preparing to fake a left punch into a body slam
“So you have been one of Zordon’s rangers then?” the guardian says as Jason seeing the fake leapfrogs over the guardian then rolling to his feet as the guardian regains his footing, then Jason begins a dash to the right before jumping on the wall and pushing with his legs, projecting himself into the guardian.
“Yeah, the reason I’m here is because my friend lost his power and I, along with Zordon and Alpha believe that its returned to the cave” Jason states as he regains his footing and preparing for the guardian’s counter move
“You said Zordon and Alpha like it was a second thought, why is that?” The guardian says, holding his ground in a defensive stance, like he’s wanted Jason to answer him before they continued the fight
“They… did not, sanction my coming here, they said that Tommy, that’s my friend, could not come but Zordon never really said that I couldn’t come. So are we going to keep fighting or am I not worthy because I disobeyed my commander’s order?” Jason says, waiting for the guardian’s move
“You pass” the guardian says, while relaxing his stance “You may have disobeyed your commanders orders, but you did it for a friends, that is the same thing Zordon was doing when he came here”
“He did, you mean that’s why he came down here for the coins” Jason was astonished
“Yes and no, his friend Alpha was hurt just above ground and Zordon brought him down here seeking shelter even though his commanding officer told Zordon not to come here, no matter what. When he arrived here, he learned that the power inside could save Alpha by entering the cave with him, once inside he realized that the coins could help defeat the forces of evil.” The guardian revealed this information the stunned Jason
“That’s amazing; he never mentioned that to us. Actually he has never talked about his past much”
“Well maybe that’s because he it hurt him to tell you about it” the guardian said “Now are you going in or do I are you going to wait for me to change my mind”
Jason enter and inside he see all the power, but he is here for the dark green candle, once he finds it he leaves not knowing that not only is it possible to choose your power but it is possible for power to choose you. And as he climbs the stairs to the command center he feels as though there is something connected to him, it feels familiar but at the same time different.
