I'm already collecting Morphers and Weapons.

Now I wanna get into figures.
What types of figures are there?
I read some of the posts here on the site, but I don't understand the lingo.

Which figures are better than others?
What are the RARE figures??

Thanks for any help you can give me.

well good luck, as for figures what you want to do is to get the ones that were released with show accurate weapons. Here is a list them:

Mighty Morphin Auto Morph Rangers
5.5" Action Feature Zeo Rangers
Turbo double key spinning rangers
Space Lightstar Rangers
Galaxy Talking Rangers (good luck on the females)
Lightspeed Lights and Sound figures (good luck on the females)
Time Force Light up Rangers
Wild Force first wave of figures
Ninja Storm Flash Rangers
Dino Thunder Action or Talking rangers (the talking rangers are more show acurate like it's got a hoister, gun and blade but the 3 core rangers don't come with the daggers, staff and shield. Those weapons are only in the action line)
SPD Light Patrol Figures
Mystic Force Mystic Light Figures
for more info go to: http://www.grnrngr.com/toys/index.html this site of his has nice detailed info about the whole power rangers toylines with pictures and all. It can be an online guide for you.

Well thats just a basic Idea of which figures well in my opinion are best to buy. Mainly because those figures are really show accurate (detail vise) and they come with their true weapons from the show instead of some random crazy weapon.

I wish you good luck though most figures will be hard find with all their accessories, but if you are willing to keep searching you'll for sure find what you need. If you search ebay, there is this guy that has put his zeo x2, Turbo x2, MMPR x2 figures for sale. They don't seem to have any weapons but if you don't care then those figures will help you get started.

Thanks for the info.
I might collect Megazords at the same time.
I guess it depends on how much they cost.

The reason I don't collect figures is that they're more or less the same every year while mecha are usually alot different and more fun to play with.

The best way to buy them is to guess ahead on the ones you think BOA won't release then get it from Boj and fill in the gaps when the american ones come out. Thats by far the cheapest method to do it. The ones always released are the Main megazord and 6th, so never import those unless they're heavy on chrome/features that will get cut stateside.

you will also want to go for the battlizers i assume and you'll need the metalic armor figures from mmpr, the jet jammer figures from lost galaxy (they were the orion figures), and the sound patrol figures from SPD

I just try to get the 4 inch rangers from MMPR - Turbo, and then 5.5 inch figures from Space - Mystic Force (with power weapons or at least standard weapons).

One piece of advice about collecting figures: Buy it when you first see it.

Far too often, people make the mistake of waiting until a figure debuts on the series before buying it (i.e. Knight Wolf from this year), and wind up paying anywhere from 5-8x more than they would if they'd have just picked it up when they first saw it. The most important figures to apply this logic to are the female Rangers and any villains/extra Rangers that are released. I can go to any store in town and find a Red, Yellow, or Green Mystic Light Ranger. However, can I go to those same stores and expect to walk out with a Blue or Pink Mystic Light Ranger? No. How about Knight Wolf? Forget it, unless you want the White Knight version, and even that's hard to come by right now. [Granted, the "Dragon Morphin" and "Battlized" versions ARE out in at least SOME quanity, but they're not the same.]

I personally make it a point on the day after Thanksgiving ("Black Friday" here in the States) to at least get to Toys "R" Us and see if they have anything new. It was a time-honored tradition for a few years - and many "drop $80 at one time on nothing but Power Ranger figures" days - which, IIRC, stopped with DinoThunder. SPD's stock wasn't out yet, and I found the Mystic Force figures the week before.

However, my advice still stands: Buy it when you see it.

That's probably the best advice. I can't even count the number of times I've seen female rangers at Walmart or Toys R Us, decided to wait, and never found them again (except on Ebay at scalper prices).

Thankfully, Black Friday is the day that Toys R Us used to stock their shelves FULL of new PR stuff, so everything's there en masse at 5:00 in the morning. I remember when all of the new Ninja Storm stuff came out: It was like walking into heaven... :023:

Oddly, my advice didn't apply too much when I went looking for the Tsunami Cycles. I don't quite remember when I started, but I know that I saved Shane's for last, and was able to find it very easily. Maybe they just shipped more out back then, because I remember seeing Tsunami Cycles until the DT stock was ready to hit the shelves.
